So I just wanted to clarify because I don't think I worded my little review at the end right, that I wasn't intending to judge the show as a whole, I was judging the compilation. It's possible I didn't word it right though and if I didn't then that's my bad.
Sausage in the hole is actually Toad in the hole, but it was lost in translation for Gino haha it’s sausage baked into Yorkshire pudding and super tasty
They are laughing at the muffin man because muffin is a slang word for vagina. He is asking them to sniff and taste the muffins. The Italian cook Gino is always messing up his english which sounds rude but they are all the best of friends. This will why we love This Morning because we alway end up in fits of laughter watching these pair. Plus I think the doctor is know longer with us unfortunately. You just don't have the same sense of humour as us and we find alot of american comedy not that funny either. That's what makes the world great is we are all different.
The show isn't all jokes as seen in this video. I'm surprised Rob didn't include the episode where they had been out all night at some television awards and where pissed as farts.
@Master Yoda I am from the UK and I usually call them sofas but I call big ones or fancy ones couches. Just like how I usually say living room but I call fancy ones a lounge.
@Master Yoda Ye I think it just depends what people say in your surroundings. I know people that never say couch or never say sofa. I think it's just preference.
Master Yoda I lived in Glasgow everyone I knew called it a couch, same with the highlands and same with Airdrie. I’ve lived in working class and middle class areas though so maybe that’s the difference
Personally I think This Morning Sums up British people (mainly people how live outside of London ) really well, we make dirty jokes and we talk about odd things at work.
At the begining was not a fake laugh. They do it all the time. Also i think you need to understand british humour to really get it. Also cupcake man is married to the lady presenter.
I think they split recently but they met on This Morning & married & had at least 1 child together i believe. They're laughing at the word muffin. Muff means something in UK & they're being childish.
I’m so happy I’m British and have the national treasures that are Holly and Phil 😂 also the Italian chef is called Gino and the British have kinda adopted him 😂😂😂
Innuendo and doubles entendres are a staple of British humour. The reason that they’re laughing is because it isn’t intended to be naughty. With the Italian Gino he doesn’t have the full grasp of the English language so comes out with the wrong expressions ( once said ‘up the fluff’ instead of ‘up the duff’ to Holly when she was pregnant) If you want to see an innuendo overload watch the ‘Carry On’ movies ( oooh Matron!!) Also some of those with Phil and Holly laughing on the sofa were from off air so the viewers didn’t see them until they showed the outtakes at the end of the month.
Since ITV doesn't have a problem ,you could do "Celebrity Juice" It's a late night game show, and I'm sure Holly, Phillip and Gino (Chef) have all been on it at the same time, there might even be a "This Morning Special". It's funny is you like immature humour.
YangSing1 - for an American who has trouble with some ‘regular’ English accents? Of course he is! He has a strong Leeds accent and uses words and phrases that will make no sense to an American
@taffe316 - To answer your questions about Phil and Holly, Phillip Scholfield has been presenting This Morning since about 2001 as a replacement for John Leslie, who was sacked after tabloid reports that he had been snorting cocaine. Fern then left in 2009 and was replaced by Holly Willoughby. Phil and Holly's amazing chemistry on screen is also a result of the fact that they don't just present This Morning. As a duo, they also present Dancing on Ice, a programme which basically follows the same format as Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One except on ice - celebrities dancing with professional partners with a weekly elimination until the winner is announced during the final. Phillip Scholfield and Holly Willoughby both began their TV careers as presenters on children's programmes (Phil in the 1980s and Holly as a teenager during the late-1990s!) And both on BBC One - although Holly later went on to CITV on ITV. These days, though, both Phil and Holly are basically the poster duo for ITV. As much as we love them in this country, they might as well rename ITV "The Phil and Holly Channel" because they present everything on it both as a duo and as individuals.
Holly Willoby is such a laugh as well as a pretty lady, you need to react to Celebrity Juice which is an ITV production quiz show where Holly is a team captain and it can get rude or risky in terms of innuendo and the likes. You are right in saying the presenters Phillip & Holly are great friends and regularly go on holiday with their families to Portugal
the problem with the repetition is simply that this a compilation; in the actual show they occur less frequently, it's just a regular breakfast show, and if you condense the innuendo giggling that occurred in the course over several years then it becomes very repetitive
I understand if you don’t get good old British slang and innuendo. Words like muffin, nuts, or bike are rude, so when Gino said “If my grandmother had wheels she’d be a bike”, Holly and Phillip started giggling.
With regards to the chefs, 'muffin man' is married to Fern Britton, the earlier presenter, so he would say things that he knew would make her laugh and then keep a straight face, and now he does it with Holly. Lasagne man, Gino, can speak pretty good English, but occasionally he will get it wrong, but get it wrong in a way that shouldn't be broadcast at 11 in the morning. Like 'shits' of pasta and add a slash of orange juice (a slash is slang for having a wee!). I think they are just so conscious of how close to the line he is sometimes. You also have to remember that these clips are from 20 yrs of the show. It doesn't happen every day.
The 'muffin' man is Phil Vickery and he's married to Fern Britton who first presented This Morning with Philip Schofield , Gino always messes up his words and your'e right they have been friends for years. Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield have been presenting together since Fern left and on a daily basis This Morning is an interesting program that covers silly and serious topics. The reason we find it so funny is because they don't 'lose' it every day so when they do it's hilarious. You've watched a lot of clips from decades of coverage so it will seem over the top to you. This show has won so many awards for its light entertainment, it's designed to feel like they are just chilling in your living room so we've got to know and love them. It's the kind of show that can make you laugh and cry in equal measure and genuinely if I'm feeling fed up, I just watch a compilation and I'm smiling and laughing in seconds...It's quite hard to judge it just on the compilations though if you've not been watching them for years.
I can understand your point about it all being the same, but when it's spread over a few years when you're watching it live it is HILARIOUS! Holly and Phil are the favourite pretenders as they are just brilliant as a duo x
I love This Morning with Phil and Holly, I watch it every day. I'd love to work in that studio, I'd never miss a joke. Yeah, they may be laughing at similar stuff, but it's the fact that it's live and going out to the whole of England.
Phillip has previously credited Holly with being a major support to him after he came as out as gay two years ago on live TV. ... However, despite their close knit relationship, it was revealed earlier this month that Holly is planning to take some time away from Phillip and her This Morning presenting responsibilities.26 Jan 2022

Bear in mind that this is a live daytime TV show and it's one of the most popular shows too. Lasagne man is Gino Di Campo... Dude is a celebrity juice legend and always good for a laugh
This morning has somd really great funny momments. My personal favourite is 10 past 5. Also your comment at the end. Don't forget this is a compilation rather than an actual episode that runs for 2 hours. ITV has a series of daytime TV shows. ITV1 usually runs as follows: 6:00am - 8:30am = Good Morning Britain 8:30 - 9:30 = Lorraine 9:30 - 10:30 = The Jeremy Kyle Show 10:30 - 12:30 = This Morning 12:30 - 13:30 = Lose Women 13:30 - 14:00 = National and regional news 14:00 - 15:00 = Judge Rinder 15:00 - 16:00 = Tennable 16:00 - 17:00 = Tipping Point 17:00 - 18:00 = The Chase 18:00 - 19:00 = National and regional news 19:00 = Evening soaps begin (Emmerdale - usually on for Half an hour)
No offence, but there are a lot of jokes that you as an American wouldn’t understand. Like the muffin thing... muffin is British slang for vagina, so Phil saying “I’ve never had a ginger muffin”... yeah, it’s funny. This Morning and the funny moments from it basically sum up our British humour, very silly, lots of innuendos, self-deprecation, basically immature 😊 I’ve watched the show then gone and watched the compilation videos and laughed all over again, it never gets old to us! But again, British humour 😊
I think you need to find the clip of the morning after the awards where they never got home... the one with holly eating a cake with large serving spoon and gino cooking naked cos he lost a bet.
This Morning is a British TV institution, Philip and Holly are two of the UK's favourite presenters. We love it when they start laughing. We all watch it just see them make each other laugh. Best live programme on British tv. I don't think there is anything like it anywhere in the world.
About your thoughts of the show at the end, the laughing fits they have aren't every show so I thats why it's funny! But yeah This Morning is amazing, shame I'm at work when it's aired though :/
Ok, just to let you know, that was outtakes from the last 20 years. That's not every day or week or even month. Holly and Phil are national treasures by the way. Ferne, the larger lady was Phils previous co-host and was married to the chef in the clips with her. The show has been running for about 25 years and is a topical/magazine type show with everything from high street fashion to testicular cancer as subjects featured. Hope that helps!
Slash is another term for peeing in the UK. He meant splash Also the Italian chef is called Gino D'acampo and he is used to them. Normally winds them up lol. Fearn and Phil were hosts for years and then when fearn left holly took over. It is a very fun show to watch. As for the other chef, Fearn is married to him so again they're just winding each other up.
Fern Britton is actually married in real life to that chef, (cupcake man) Phil Vickery. This morning is actually alright, don't watch it often but Holly and Phil have a really good chemistry which works well, I like that they fall about laughing.. Brits just have a good sense of humour
Thats what makes it so funny.... We watch it because of the humour, because we know we are going to get updated with whats going on in the country/world, however its going to be light hearted and funny. The chemistry between all of the presenters, the fact that they could literally be sitting in your living room having a conversation with you. The show has gone on for so long because of the humour and chemistry. Theres always good morning Britain if you fancy something a little more serious :)
I think you need to consider that these clips are highlights of the funniest moments from the last however many years This Morning has been on the air, with that being said as someone who watches this show the laughing fits are a highlight if you manage to catch them. They also cover some very serious topics including their campaign about male suicide and their one about bullying which might be worth googling
Yes they don't laugh all the time on the show.. they tackle serious issues too on this morning.. & with real live subject that's going on at the time.. that's what makes it a very popular show over here in England.. you get the cooking/food/drink slots & other mix of subjects.. along with lots of laughs & funny bits.. which we all need to get us through our daily lives x
it’s funny seeing an american react coz we brits have a really weird relationship with our presenters (and gino) like how you thought gino was actually annoyed like idk it’s just the way things are
Us Brits have a childlike humour at times. We got a saying 'If you don't laugh you'll cry'. We aren't as 'sensational' in our daytime television. That's not a criticism of America by any means it's just a difference in how we do our shows I guess Cool concept for the video dude :)
I know this is a couple years old, but one thing to realise that in the UK, TV Channel hosts, usually go and work on multiple different shows on the same channel at the same time - which is why they were mentioning other shows they've been presenting. So Philip and Holly do This Morning for ITV, but also present Dancing On Ice on a Sunday. You'll also find the same with Ant & Dec presenting X Factor, Britains Got Talent, I'm a Celebrity etc at the same time all on the same channel
You're watching a super condensed collection of only the laughing. There's hours of filler in the real show. Most of it is quite dull. The smut is a welcome addition.
Phil and holly have been friends for many many years and also take part in a comedic gameshow.Thats what makes the show so brilliant, them having hysterics constantly. They have won many tv awards.
My favourite This Morning moments are when Holly says 'please stay and do me' to that magician and when Phil says 'still to come' after talking to a couple about orgasms
The so called muffin man as you call him was actually ferns husband at the time but now they have split up and are no loner married as of January this year 2020
I think what Americans need to know before watching this is its just clips of a lot of programmes. Also if you don't know British slang or our euphemisms you may not get why it's so funny. 😕🤣 They are best friends and it shows. We love these two. 👍
As much as I love the intention, it's always going to fall flat if you don't understand the intricacies of what's going on. For example, Fern is Phil Vickery's wife. Hence the fact that 'Wet Nelly' is funny to them. This Morning is a national institution because we all know who everyone is and why what they are saying is funny. Without that knowledge it will always seem silly.
I agree that it gets a bit silly. Gino, the italian chef does act like he doesn't know why they're laughing but you can tell he knows exactly what he's doing when he's pronouncing words wrong.
@@ejectorseatreservation3869 Gino D'Acampo really is Italian. However he has been living in the UK for over 20 years now and has an English wife, so I think maybe he exaggerates his accent for comical effect.
MsPinkwolf Of course he is Italian and of course he instigates the innuendoes and the pronunciations are exaggerated. I for one am happy about that he’s a great entertainer
“Muffin Man” or as we know him Phil is actually married to the female presenter Fern so he knows what she’s like. And Phil and Holly (the two at the start!) are best friends and there’s nothing fake about them or the fun they have trust me if you watched the show everyday they always mess up or come out with something completely random, they actually forget a lot of the time that the show is going out live!
There's one when they won a TV award the night before and they hadn't been home. They were still in their posh clothes and were still drunk from the party. It was weirdly sweet.
"Muffin man" is Ferns husband, and he's a regular cook alongside Gino Dcampo on the show. The thing with Philip Schofield and Fern is that they had a habit of seeing the humor and innuendos in everything hence the quite often immature giggle fits. It's what made the show great, sadly it's a load of crap now.
we do love Phil and Holly in the UK 🇬🇧😂 fyi, ‘muffin man’ (Phil Vickery, famous UK TV chef who is a regular on This Morning) is actually married to Fern Britton (TV host, hosted This Morning with Phil at the time), ‘lasagne man’ is Gino D’Acampo (an Italian TV chef who’s very popular in the UK and often on This Morning) and then at 17:04 that was Rylan Clark-Neal and Amanda Holden, both popular TV presenters in the UK and both sometimes cover for Phil and Holly or Eamonn and Ruth (famous UK TV presenters who only host This Morning during school holidays and on Fridays) 😂😊
Hi, thanks for doing this it was really refreshing to see someone not slag something off. We don't get tired of the rude jokes because 1.they are mixed in to a two hour magazine type programme so are not constant; 2. We really like Phil and Holly and Gino so when they laugh it makes us laugh; 3. They are meant to be being serious so trying not to laugh makes it even funnier.
To taffe316 on your reason on the this morning best bits the lasagne man is called Gino acampo and the muffin man is called Phil Vickery the Two chefs on the show the 2 percenters are Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby but before Holly joins previous presenter was called fern Britain show has been going in the UK since 1989 it is on every morning from 10:30 to 12:30
Man I'm laughing so hard my ribs hurt. Philip Scofield & Holly Willoughby are always like that lol. The Italian chef is Gino dicampo my fave chef.👌😂😂😂😂
Just so you are not too confused, the chef on this morning (Phil) is married to Fern who was the presenter before Holly. The grey haired presenter is also called Phil just to confuse things.
You have got to remember you have seen a compilation of shows they don't always do these type of jokes it's a serious and funny show you need to watch a full episode to understand the layout.
They’re best friends in real life and they’ve been presenting together for years...gotta love Holly & Phillip 😂 Thanks for posting this btw, it’s great to see what other people think of the weird shit that comes on our TV lol
Holly and Phil are great friends and their families even holiday together in Portugal each year. Not sure if that will continue though with Phil coming out as gay last year and living a lie with his wife :-/
This isn't a true reflection of This Morning just the funny outtakes. They do discuss serious matters, complete challenges, interviews, speak to experts etc. Holly and Phillip have a great dynamic. The show has won awards also. I think you have to understand British humour to find this funny, this is coming from a fellow Brit :-)
So I just wanted to clarify because I don't think I worded my little review at the end right, that I wasn't intending to judge the show as a whole, I was judging the compilation. It's possible I didn't word it right though and if I didn't then that's my bad.

Also your comment at the end. Don't forget this is a compilation rather than an actual episode that runs for 2 hours. ITV has a series of daytime TV shows. ITV1 usually runs as follows:
6:00am - 8:30am = Good Morning Britain
8:30 - 9:30 = Lorraine
9:30 - 10:30 = The Jeremy Kyle Show
10:30 - 12:30 = This Morning
12:30 - 13:30 = Lose Women
13:30 - 14:00 = National and regional news
14:00 - 15:00 = Judge Rinder
15:00 - 16:00 = Tennable
16:00 - 17:00 = Tipping Point
17:00 - 18:00 = The Chase
18:00 - 19:00 = National and regional news
19:00 = Evening soaps begin (Emmerdale - usually on for Half an hour)
No offence, but there are a lot of jokes that you as an American wouldn’t understand. Like the muffin thing... muffin is British slang for vagina, so Phil saying “I’ve never had a ginger muffin”... yeah, it’s funny. This Morning and the funny moments from it basically sum up our British humour, very silly, lots of innuendos, self-deprecation, basically immature 😊 I’ve watched the show then gone and watched the compilation videos and laughed all over again, it never gets old to us! But again, British humour 😊
My favourite was when he referred to his Grandmother as "a bike". He still hadnt got a clue what he said. I thought Holly was going to choke
Holly and Phillip were both children’s tv presenters which is probably why they have that sense of humour.
Phil Vickery is the Muffin Man and he loves his “Wet Nelly” XD
About your thoughts of the show at the end, the laughing fits they have aren't every show so I thats why it's funny! But yeah This Morning is amazing, shame I'm at work when it's aired though :/
Ok, just to let you know, that was outtakes from the last 20 years. That's not every day or week or even month. Holly and Phil are national treasures by the way. Ferne, the larger lady was Phils previous co-host and was married to the chef in the clips with her. The show has been running for about 25 years and is a topical/magazine type show with everything from high street fashion to testicular cancer as subjects featured. Hope that helps!
this morning is also LIVE!!
Slash is another term for peeing in the UK. He meant splash
Also the Italian chef is called Gino D'acampo and he is used to them.
This morning is absolutely fantastic 🤣😂
I wouldn’t over analyse it. The show’s not like this every day - it’s a light daytime programme. Just a compilation of the funny bits over the years.
“If my grandmother had wheels she would have been a bike”😂
Thats what makes it so funny.... We watch it because of the humour, because we know we are going to get updated with whats going on in the country/world, however its going to be light hearted and funny. The chemistry between all of the presenters, the fact that they could literally be sitting in your living room having a conversation with you. The show has gone on for so long because of the humour and chemistry. Theres always good morning Britain if you fancy something a little more serious :)
I I am proud of our country STAY STRONG STAY SAFE🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Originally it was broadcast from the Albert Dock in Liverpool but they claimed that celebrities wouldn't travel to Liverpool so moved it to London
Dude you need to review an episode, all this shows is them laughing! Love these two though, my favourite news presenters ❤️
Gino is so funny. I think he starts mis-pronouncing things on purpose sometimes
Notice how Holly wears less obvious makeup these days. I like that she has the confidence to tone it down.
it’s funny seeing an american react coz we brits have a really weird relationship with our presenters (and gino) like how you thought gino was actually annoyed like idk it’s just the way things are
The cupcake/muffin man was married to the female presenter at the time.
should have watched when they turned up in the morning still drunk and in the same clothes because they went to the NTA's. That was so funny
Us Brits have a childlike humour at times. We got a saying 'If you don't laugh you'll cry'.
We aren't as 'sensational' in our daytime television. That's not a criticism of America by any means it's just a difference in how we do our shows I guess
Cool concept for the video dude :)
Philip Schofield's laugh reminds me of Muttley from the Wacky Races.
My favourite This Morning moments are when Holly says 'please stay and do me' to that magician and when Phil says 'still to come' after talking to a couple about orgasms
The so called muffin man as you call him was actually ferns husband at the time but now they have split up and are no loner married as of January this year 2020
"if my grandma had wheels she would have been a bike"😂😂😂 Gino nearly killed me when he said that.
"Muffin man" is called Phil Vikery. He's actually married to Fern (the host in the clip)
I think what Americans need to know before watching this is its just clips of a lot of programmes. Also if you don't know British slang or our euphemisms you may not get why it's so funny. 😕🤣 They are best friends and it shows. We love these two. 👍
A place called Cockermouth to a place with the word coch at the end, you couldn't make it up. Once they laugh they can't stop.
I know it's risking the further wrath of the BBC, but you should give Never Mind The Buzzcocks a shot.
And Have I got News for You
I agree that it gets a bit silly. Gino, the italian chef does act like he doesn't know why they're laughing but you can tell he knows exactly what he's doing when he's pronouncing words wrong.
Is he really Italian? I thought he was a brit doing a stereotype.
@@ejectorseatreservation3869 Gino D'Acampo really is Italian. However he has been living in the UK for over 20 years now and has an English wife, so I think maybe he exaggerates his accent for comical effect.
Beth D yes I’m sure he over exaggerates on his accent
MsPinkwolf Of course he is Italian and of course he instigates the innuendoes and the pronunciations are exaggerated. I for one am happy about that he’s a great entertainer
have you seen the one where he cooks nude lol
Phil and holly were hilarious when they came in drunk after winning an award it's really funny
this is all been broken apart for like 5 years in these clips, they don't always laugh like this every week on show
Phillip and Holly are iconic 😂 love them both
"Coming soon, our spinoff show: This Afternoon" 😅
This morning is the show that you watch when ur ill in the morning on school days as a kid on the sofa in a blanket
To taffe316 on your reason on the this morning best bits the lasagne man is called Gino acampo and the muffin man is called Phil Vickery the Two chefs on the show the 2 percenters are Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby but before Holly joins previous presenter was called fern Britain show has been going in the UK since 1989 it is on every morning from 10:30 to 12:30
the shows live,no edits
Man I'm laughing so hard my ribs hurt. Philip Scofield & Holly Willoughby are always like that lol. The Italian chef is Gino dicampo my fave chef.👌😂😂😂😂
The chef is Ferns husband, and Philip and Fern and Holly are lovely people and aren't scared to have a laugh
If my grandmother had wheels she would have been a bike
They’re best friends in real life and they’ve been presenting together for years...gotta love Holly & Phillip 😂
Thanks for posting this btw, it’s great to see what other people think of the weird shit that comes on our TV lol
Holly and Phil are great friends and their families even holiday together in Portugal each year. Not sure if that will continue though with Phil coming out as gay last year and living a lie with his wife :-/
‘if my grandmother had wheels she’d be a bike’ -- brilliant
This isn't a true reflection of This Morning just the funny outtakes.
They do discuss serious matters, complete challenges, interviews, speak to experts etc. Holly and Phillip have a great dynamic. The show has won awards also.
I think you have to understand British humour to find this funny, this is coming from a fellow Brit :-)
I think the thing with this is it's the whole laughing when you know you shouldn't be as it's live. It makes it worse for them.
That "food man" is Gino D'Acampo and he is from Sheffield
Great vid could you watch the inbetweeners
It's pretty hard to get copies of to send to him. Can't download from the C4 website for example. - Rob
You could just put together a complication of best moments that are on UA-cam
