- Welcome to my Procreate process video! I received a couple requests for a more in-depth video explaining how I draw food digitally. Of course there is no one way to approach food illustration, but I wanted to show you how I personally like to work. I hope you enjoy and find some use in it!

My notes from this helpful video!
1. using reference to help with the idea and to make your drawing look like the way you might want it to be
2. Have fluent, confident lines, not chicken scratches (or adding too many sketching lines) to have more of a better result!
3. Trust the process!
Finally I find a lefty!!! I don’t know why, but I’ve been trying to learn how to draw and I feel like watching a righty makes things a little difficult for me because they draw certain ways that are uncomfortable for me. I don’t know if that makes sense
This was a pleasure to watch and taught me so much! I’ve worked as a professional artist for two decades and I’ve recently become fairly confident in Procreate, but I’ve never done food illustration! I’ve been learning how to cook and started wanting to sketch my own food creations. This was all I needed, I can’t thank you enough 🥰❤️. Your color instinct and selection is beautiful 🥰.

I wish I could draw complicated things ahh. But I outline the complicated things which still takes soooo much time ahah. Hopefully I’ll get better so I don’t need to outline, love to draw on the iPad but I don’t feel like a real drawer

When you attach the picture on canvas, is there an option where they will have a rough draw for your first and then you just overdraw on it the line?

It's an awesome tutorial. By the way, I want to ask did you alpha lock all the layers except the red layer of the soup when you try to change the color of the soup?
Hi there! I only alpha lock the layer I'm changing the color of. For example, if I'm changing the color of the soup, only the soup layer is alpha locked. I hope this helps, thank you so much for watching! ❤️
OMGGG SO CUTE 🥰 what brush did you use?
She uses the 6b pencil brush for the line art then colours in with an airbrush :) adds detail with the bonobo charcoal, she says what she’s doing in the video step by step and what brushes she used
