This year has been crazy for many people, stick with it fella, you will come through and don't worry about having to please your subscribers. Those of us wanting to see the Rascal upgrade will stick with you. Take care and stay safe.
Well the Rascal isn't finished and won't be for a very long time, so there will be plenty of videos coming in the future when I can get at it properly. I do plan to get it ready somehow for the summer of '21, it won't be finished but I want to use it, it will be one of those things probably that will never be finished, unless I make big money, because in my ideal world, I would want it to be a working show piece, doing things unique, and making it a real one of a kind 😁
UA-cam is your hobby and pays peanuts. You’re a young man and started a business at a difficult financial time so don’t apologise, I wish you and your business partner every success for the future. When times are better you will be able to work on your little camper. As for your UA-cam content, simply do what makes you happy, use it as a way to relax and enjoy some down time.
Thank you for your kind comment, it means a lot to me. We started in 2019 as a limited company with some assets but the costs are skyrocketing quickly, but I am confident that we will succeed, no loans needed. I am starting to feel excited again about making content knowing that people care and that I won't be just left in the dumpster for posting. Thank you
@@tristan7734 just take your time and get on your feet, it’s been a horrible year for everyone, your little camper will still be there waiting when you get the time for it. It’s not far off Christmas so take a break and chill out. It was your camper build that came up as a suggested video which is how I found your channel, I’ll look forward to future content but don’t go over stretching yourself. Just don’t dump it as it’s a unique project and to be honest with you that Rascal base vehicle is on the way to being a classic in it’s own right.
Thought as much . Lockdown has put my Winnie off the road too. Sorned her, taxed her, no weather to use her, so sorned her again yesterday!!!! She needs some work too but don't want to spend when she's laid up . Hope the winter treats her well and no surprises come spring. Good luck!
That's such a shame lisupliz, mine can still be driven at my time, well I would have to reinstall the bed and lights but then it could be out on the road, however, I wouldn't take it out on the roads without the appropriate protection underneath, the salt on the roads this time of year, will rust it to pieces and that would really upset me. You will do fine storing it for the time being, keep it protected, the weather will improve and it will be running again next year, you will see, something to look forward to at least! Best of luck with your project mate.
Hi Tristan, I’d be interested in some business related videos. I’m here for the long haul. I like your style and will continue to watch. All the best, stay safe.

Merry Christmas Peter, sorry for the long replies, I have not only been super busy but also stuck with a few things, and didn't see all the replies I have been getting to my videos, it appears there is quite a bit of interest in my videos. Thank you so much for supporting me and RIO! 😁
Thank you Neil, I am trying to produce some more content for you guys now and get rebooted into the project, it's cold but it will be worth it in the end 😁
I’d be interested in the business content as well as the car stuff. Keep going, as far as is practically possible. I’m sure your subscribers will hang on til things pick up again.
Thanks Arnold, I will post some stuff about it in the future, there is a huge range of things I could do videos on. Thanks for sticking around my friend! 😁
Good to see you back. I was wondering what had happened with the Rascal. You’ll get there eventually. I think you’ll find you have a lot of support. All the best.
Even I was wondering what happened with the Rascal, it was tightly packed into the corner of the unit and surrounded by vehicles and other things, I thought I would never be able to get back to it 😂 I appreciate the support and thank you 😁
I certainly wish I was loaded, but the reality of it is I am not, and won't be anytime soon, plus when I get some money to continue with the build properly it would go towards it anyway, I'm a lover of putting my time into things I love and not money itself. I appreciate your support Philip 😁
You have my full sympathy. Hang in on there. I'm in a similar situation with my van, but have been using things I bought pre-lockdown to be able to progress on it. I teach English here in France one to one... so it has been webcam lessons... then PPE needed for face to face lessons when we came out of lockdown... (amazing how much it costs each month for PPE/cleaning stuff etc). Now we're back in lockdown yet again, so back to the webcam. Hopefully 2021 will be better for you. I've decided to stop my lessons for the first half of next year, as things are so uncertain and I'm falling behind with other projects. Keep the videos coming...
Thank you mate, I went on a road trip in the first lock down over 1500 miles altogether buying parts, it was great as there was no traffic, and surprisingly no problems. But the parts need work, to get them to how I want them, other than the brand new radiator I have, that is a video that I need to do actually. Sounds like you have had a tough time my friend with your business, I hope things get back to some normality soon for you and others in your position. Our business resides around cleaning so it has been thriving surprisingly, as I thought people were going into financial problems, although we are not out of the woods yet, fingers crossed, everything will be ok.
@@tristan7734 We were supposed to be coming over to the UK back in April on our yearly visit, but had to cancel. France has been pretty strict when it has come to lockdown. Like back in the Spring, we still need to fill out a form before going out. Even for essential shopping or going to work. At the moment I'm mainly rust-proofing, using rust reversal spray (WAH-HEY), primer and hammerite. I recently painted the side protection bars, so was lying on the ground. From what I could see of the chassis, it is surprisingly sound. Much of it either aluminium or galvanised steel. Most of the rust is around the front subframe around the engine. Sept & Oct my outlays doubled, buying hand gel, bacterial wet wipes and paper towels etc. At least with the webcam I now no longer need to clean everything between each person, nor pay for those extras. But this year cashflow has been a 5th of what I had last year. I think it is really important to know when to take a break and think about other things. This COVID episode has made me re-assess priorities and hope this is the same for you. Next job for me is going to be the interior, mainly insulation from heat/cold/noise. You might want to have a word with fellow UA-camr JamieVan, as he has been a wealth of advice for this sort of thing. He converts vans into campers and suggested I used closed cell insulation in the cab of my van. Which is mainly a metal cage inside a plaggy box! Good luck with your Bedford. Look forward to seeing how you get on.
you've got 1.5K loyal followers who are interested in you and your project(s) - just pause this one and start another series, for example, doing up the kitchen and toilet in your premises would have been good content, as would any of your car repairs etc. Plenty of other youtubers have multiple chapters of content/parallel projects - try to build up your following and ad revenue whilst you are going through this cash strapped period - good luck mate :)
Yes, I am starting to wish I had recorded that, the difference between when we first moved in 3 months ago to now is amazing, total transformation, from the yellow walls in the kitchen and bathroom to white and all the finishing touches. I will be trying a lot of new things I think, as there is no harm in trying, its just a confidence thing, but getting some feedback really helps, as now I know there are people who will be supporting and still enjoy having a look at the content which is time consuming to put together, but enjoyable. Thanks for your support Graeme! 😁

That's right, it is happening to everyone, I have been in this position that I am in now though since the beginning of 2019, so its not new to me, I am just getting fed up of it, never have any money, I would earn more working in a shop, the business earns lots but it has to go out on so many things, a lot of people have no idea of the expenditure of running a company when you are trying to grow it. You are doing a good thing looking after your wife, it is difficult to get out for anyone at the moment, me and my partner never get to go out as everything is shut, we try and go for walks, but it's not the best weather in this country in the winter time. Thanks for your kind offer to help, I really appreciate it, things will get there in the end, it is impossible for me to stay in this position for much longer, same with my business partner, we have to move forward, as moving backwards is not an option.
Thanks Mark, the business is growing daily and it has been doing really well as of this year, but it's still a long way from where we want it to be, and with a few surprise bills and Xmas looming over, its a tough time at the moment, not long till the new year and start of our advertising runs though, looking forward to it!
Do the Rascal as and when you can, as most watching would be doing. There are a lot of UK sites doing salvage flipping, banger flipping, bangernomics etc, it works well but most have already invested through their existing business, will cost a new start a fortune to kit up! Plus, almost all of the channels with all their experience have taken a hit with a disastrous buy, Vanlife doing the Rascal probably lot cheaper. Excellent premises, may be something could be done there with minimal investment? I think there's definitely room for window cleaning content along with dad.
Yes that's what I am going to do/what I am doing. Just trying to buy a compressor which is decent is going to set me back a lot, let alone the tools and parts I need, I do have some access however to a classic vehicle restorer in one of the other units, but it is limited, I don't want to impose. The guy knows I aint got the money at the moment, but is kind and lets me help him and learn about the vehicles and how to undertake certain things. One thing I am looking forward to is how to weld because then I may be able to fix the bed and battery box myself and only have to borrow the welder.
Keep going buddy. Surely there are jobs you can do on the camper that doesn't need much £££? I've really enjoyed the content so far. Keep going - and good luck with the window cleaning business.
Thanks Tom! Yes there is lots to be getting on with now I have the gear to do some of the jobs, first it will be fitting the electronic ignition, as I already have the coil fitted. Thanks for the support!😁
Hey, your videos have been great! I've put my rascal romahome on hold too, I think I need to refurbish or replace the carb. My main problem is I'm how it runs and rust. I would love to have a dry storage to work over winter too, not light left after work. I may even end up selling it, I think these to much welding in the cab. Maybe you could start a patreon and do shorter videos to help add more content.
Thank you so much Callum, it sucks having to put the build on hold! I know how you feel. I haven't had to do the carb on mine but I will likely have to do it one day, are you going to replace it you think? The rust is also a pain, I made a couple of mistakes treating mine, but luckily I haven't gone too far yet, so I can tackle it properly and do it right this time. I think I have one of the better ones though.. Don't sell, try and do it because it will be a lovely vehicle at the end. I want to start making some shorter videos, although, even though I have a unit, it is as cold inside there as it is outside, I'm in the process of building a room inside of the unit which I can put vehicles inside of, that will make working on the rascal a lot more comfortable as I will be able to heat a small space.
I think I'll end up replacing it for a new one, it wouldn't be an original spec and I'll have to figure out the aftermarket but I'll sort it. These plenty of FB groups to help me out with the aftermarket. That sounds like a great idea for the dry store
This is actually a good idea, it could even be a nice marketing vehicle somehow for the time being, the main money would be spent on the pod anyway, other than the paint job on the Rascal, but that will have to wait till later.
