I am glad that my explanation simplifies eggbeater kick. Once you get it into your muscle memory, it will become the easiest kick. Keep working on it, don’t give up.
Do you have any tips for carrying somebody on your shoulder and doing eggbeater backwards? It's a lifesaving technique and I'm really struggling. Would love your help.
Why would you need to carry someone on your shoulders in deep water? For lifeguarding there are different types of holds, none of which include shoulders... Do you mean an under armpit grip?
@@marsisgr8 as far as I remember, getting a submerged victim up, out of the water, you'd need to use one arm to hold the body and use the other arm to help you pull the water while doing scissor kicks upward. To practice that, I'd suggest to practice with a weightlifting plate or a heavier kettlebell. Pulling a body would be easier, however, practicing with something heavier would build up your strength.
@@marsisgr8 will you be able to use a rescue tube while pulling the body backwards using the eggbeater kick? It's usually placed in between yourself and the person.

@ramyg5037 It is pretty awesome, isn't it? You might find this video interesting, too because in it I show the Eggbeater kick in practice and give a few more pointers: ua-cam.com/video/Oou2pxsKeVA/v-deo.html
