And Trayvon lost his life, for no good reason. There is a color or race problem every where we go in this country and we should all talk about it, in an open and honest manner. The reason why it was important for me to mention this young brave man's color at all is because there are still millions of people who walk around in this country and troll on the internet, constantly attacking Black people, and always stating that "All Black people" are this or that or whatever. That they are criminals, lazy and are all no good. Therefore, in those people's minds, they want to believe and preach that nonsense that a Black man can never be a hero. For centuries, our government and institutions and the media have greatly perpetuated and contributed to this myth and stereotype, and unfortunately, they continue to do so. Therefore, in order for us to begin to reverse racism, we have to begin to acknowledge all that has happened and also recognize all of the positives. Not all White people are bad. And not all Black people are bad either. It should be about the character and the character only, NOT the color. I hope that one day, we would have moved so far beyond all of these shenanigans and gotten rid of all our stereotypes, that this will not even matter at all. But, we know that we are NOT there yet!
