Wow, when I worked you, I had no idea what you were using on your end! I was having a sleepless night and got on the air. I was amazed to see so many signals there were on the band. Nice to work you, that is a cool little set up. It is a great time to be a ham! K1QS. 73. (obtw Antenna on this end was a 40 meter horizontal delta loop)
Great review Peter! Adam did a great job with modifying my basic direct conversion RX to superhet. 73 WB2CBA
And thanks for the initial design!
Thank you guys. It’s a lot of fun.
Good review Pete.
Well I think you've sold me on it. I love my other CR kits rigs. I will give this one a shot, too.
Very helpful showing an accessible calibration process and demonstrating it with an explanation. Great video. 73 de VK2AOE.
Nice!!!
awesome
Interesting kit.
I don't know if my eyes are good enough to build a kit but JS8 and WSPR is appealing to me.🤔
I may also blow a cap!💥😂
The parts are not actually that close together. A magnifier / lamp could help.
Nice....
That's cool Peter but I need a Key jack! 73
HI, Peter, nice presentation.
The device needs an ON/OFF switch.
Yes, that would be nice. Repeated pulling in and out wouldn't be good for the power connector.
Is the Arduino Nano subboard soldered in-place, or is it socketed?
You solder it in.
Do any of them do js8call
Yes. JS8 is one of the 4 digital modes supported.
@@vk3ye I apologize. I asked the question before I watched the whole video. But thank you
Nice review, and happy to see it working fine for you. I built mine some time ago but had some software issues with buttons not being usable. I resolved that but now I have some strange signal splatter. Although I did make a few qsos, I don't want it running like that. Your signal sounds fine so I guess I have a bad component somewhere, possibly si5351 or the buffer ic. Will try to debug it one of these days. 73 yu4hak
I guess you are talking about ADX instead of ADX-S. Wish you good luck getting it back to work again.
@@adamrong8990 Ah yes, good point, mine is a homebrew version of adx, not the modded adx-s which is in the video. Very interesting conversion to superhet.
NO CW ? Hi
Actually you can find a software that supports CW as well, look for kholia adx on github. However no interface is supported to change the frequency. So you have to hardcode it while flashing the device. The default frequency is 7030, and you can use tx button as a key. No sidetone, and no filtering on receive so it is basically an overengineered Pixie for now :)
