Still one of my favorites by James Brown. Makes me feel like locking!! That beat hits you so hard! Funky!! Also really like the U-tern Disco Edit as well. Both versions are very good.
I've been jamming on this for a couple hours. It's a weird chord change that James really got into around this time in the 70's. It starts on a Bbdom7 vamp but the change goes to Ddom7. In fact, the part in D is a reworked version of James' song 'It's A New Day' from 1970. Thanks, JackHogan.
Seriously from what I’ve read the late 70’s was off the fuckin chain. Casablanca down on Sunset, reinvented acts like James Brown doing the disco boogie, coke everywhere, mafia, porn. James was as always just like yea I can get down with this era too as he had in the 50’s and 60’s.
Who said that james wasnt GOD IN PERSON SAID A LIE , cause he was the lord and it is a reason if he was born, Which reason????Mann is so simple he divulged love with his music
Now, if you are a soul spiritual person, this funk will make your heart stop, I can't stop my foot from moving
This is EXACTLY what Funk is!
The REALNESS in the opening speech. Love it!
no one can assemble a group like James Brown. a great discoverer of talent. some things in life can't be duplicated.

Esta abertura me faz aterrissar nos meus 14, 15 anos, Alexandre. E, apesar dos pesares, James Brown deixava a vida mais leve...

James Brown - Dead On It 1975
The real author of this song is the cameroonian Talla André Marie
1:18 "-but I'm not going to forget Jeremy Clarkson" -The Godfather of Soul keepin' it relevant there.
Doctor Craptonicus Lol, he says Jimmy Parker, not Jeremy Clarkson. Who is Jeremy Clarkson?

Round about 02:30 it's surprisingly how much it sounds like later Talking Heads.
I think you mean to say: "It's surprising how much later Talking Heads sound like this."
Later talking heads sounds like James Brown. You mean
Cat Even Say Good Gawd!!
Seems like Prince's "Dead On It" was heavily influenced by this.
