Well, in much of Louisville during my entire youth, the same thing happened with any JB cut! The funk just rolled out of the car and home radios...Soul/R&B stations in the '50s through the early '90s were FAR superior to today's stations -hell, you can't even get a weather alert or news bulletin on many of them let alone any good music-they're "talkin' loud and sayin' nothin'!" .
