I tried the head mount but found it uncomfortable wearing it with my beanie. Didn't even know you could take the top strap off and didn't even think of wearing the mount underneath my beanie. Thanks for the tips
3:34 I’ll say! I wish I had the same strong sense of self.. I care what other people think of me too much! Man now I know how they were able to get those perspectives on some of those movies I used to watch😮..Seems like you should need to be at least 21 to buy one of these things!I don’t think I’d walk outside of my bedroom, errrr house with this thing on!😅
That’s correct! The new head strap has its mounting tabs located in the center of the piece of plastic as opposed to the older head strap which has the tabs located at the bottom of the plastic closet to your eyes and nose… I believe this is to help with the center of gravity and how the mount and camera reacts to bumps and vibrations during your activities / sports
I agree. Although I have not tested the magnetic mount, there is some thing about securely mounting the camera that gives me more confidence to use the GoPro ecosystem
@@nitinfunky09 you can cinch the head strap, nice and tight but anything airborne I would recommend having a safety tether so in the situation, your GoPro/head strap were to come off it wouldn’t fall. I can’t answer your question directly, but I may recommend a more fixed/permanent mount For paragliding. Maybe consider an adhesive mount on your helmet if you wear a helmet. The only way to truly know is to test it yourself or to ask another paraglider if they have used it. Just remember, safety first! Make sure to have a back up if the head strap were to come off.
I would recommend 4x3. Even if you don't tilt the camera to the perfect angle, 4x3 provides more room top to bottom which allows you to choose the best frame for 16x9 in post.
Why would GoPro go to the trouble of making a baseball cap and not put a camera mount on it? The Chinese have been making them for years. GoPro creates some amazing stuff, but then every once in a while they fall inexplicably short on an idea.
Valid point, but keep in mind the GoPro slogan: World‘s most versatile camera. I believe the ideology is: why make just a baseball hat mount, when you could make a clip that clips onto a baseball hat and also clips onto your backpack strap or a multitude of other places.
Notice any difference/benefit to the 11 mini v.s. 11 regular on the head mount 2.0? I’m looking to use it for kayak fishing. Which GoPro would you pair with the head strap for that?
I would recommend the camera that you already have! There’s no reason to not start today! The GoPro 12 is pretty awesome and mountable and wearable if you’re looking to upgrade camera
You could probably use it for scootering, but I would highly suggest the adhesive sticky amount on your helmet if you’re getting any type of air. Not only is the adhesive amount more secure and solid, but it also allows you to connect it to your helmet which would keep you a lot more safe.
I don't think this mount is that secure. In my opinion, I think the head strap mount would be pretty easy to steal off someone's head. I would suggest mounting the camera to a helmet that is secured to your head, then using an adhesive mount and quick release buckle system. This is a much more secure mounting option when it comes to thieves.
That’s definitely an option, but after some testing I prefer to have the camera above my eye-line. Mounting the camera upside down is always an option especially for the chest mount harness
Great question! Unfortunately the head strap won’t work the best with a helmet.. you may consider using a curved or flat adhesive mount to mount the GoPro to you helmet if there is a spot on your helmet that would allow for it. … if your helmet has vents/holes like a bicycle helmet, then the vented helmet strap may be a better mount. What type of helmet are you trying to mount to?
Thank you for sharing! Ima getting me a go pro. With the head mount. (Only for the clip mount I can put on my cap brim)
Exactly what I was looking for, thanks for the vid!

Great feedback! Glad you liked the tips
Great review Thomas. I can always count on you for solid tech knowledge !
Great video. I found the coolest option to attach gopro to backside of hat.
Thank you for this information, it was helpful. I definitely need help. lol
I’m glad the Video helped you! 😁
love the intro. What software did you use to create the picture inside of picture transitions
Thanks 🙏🏼 I used adobe premier … it was somewhat advanced but there are tutorials on UA-cam

It’s all about intent.. what is the reason you are creating the footage?
I notice that on the head strap 2.0 the camera is higher

Nice review!
One of the reasons i will not bay action 4 is that i don't trust magnet mount

@@TG_Shreds exactly 💯
Good review mate!
How stable the gopro head strap is in strong winds? Thinking of using it while paragliding.

better on 4/3 or 16/9 for pov ?

The Hero 11 mini would definitely be the camera for your situation… small lightweight and portable
@@TG_Shreds Thanks!
Use a baseball cap mount for fishing. The head strap is super uncomfortable

So frustrating. I ordered 2.0 on Amazon and 1.0 shipped. I couldn’t even tell until ruined the box.
That’s a bummer … do you need a box to return if it’s from Amazon?!? 🤷🏻♂️
@@TG_Shreds I can return no questions asked. But you know GoPro, making the boxes that have to be torn with the little trip lol.
Hey man what if I wanna play soccer and make videos which camera u recommend?

could i use it with scootering? I do go 2-3 meters in the air so would it be too wobbly or not?

I cannot fo rhte life of me figure out how to put the strap back on hahha XD
I made a YT Short to show how to add or remove the strap. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/users/shortsnlnITGvaS5k

Hey man, i really like helmet strap mount.. But i afraid of thief stealing my camera when i use it. Is it that strong to hold camera from thief?

Is it loose w just the clip on hat brim? For fishing on boat
@@SantosProd it’s not loose, but the camera can be heavy at the end of your hat brim. All depends on how much you are moving your head
The camera is more stable if you mount it upside down thank me later

What is the price?
GoPro.com currently is selling it for $24.99 US and $19.99 if you have the GoPro Subscription
How well would it work with a helmet?

@@TG_Shreds Aone popular snowboard UA-camr recommand the strap over the helmet mounts... I dont know what to think

when you can just pop it on a hat like that, why would you ever buy the headstrap!
