Send Ben Taylor to Indiana for the All Stars Game. He closed out the 4th quarter strong with 23 points for the Lakers while putting clamps on the raptors by only conceding 2. Go Refs Go!
I’m a Raps fan (fell asleep for this one, thank god lol) I am also a referee. Not an NBA one, obviously, but here’s my breakdown of this game footage. I REALLY wish I had the whole 4th quarter to look at though, hard to draw any conclusions from only a few minutes. 1:01 Scottie gets a bump from Prince. From this angle, doesn’t look like much. Maybe could have been a play on? Maybe a better angle would have shown more. That’s why there are 3 referees. Angles are super important. What looks like a no call from one angle can look super obvious from another. Important to keep this foul in mind though for a play coming up. 1:08 Thad gets a shove in the back. Should have been a shooting foul. The Center official had a great look. What makes it even worse is that the very next play they call an and-1 down the other end for Davis immediately. Was it a foul? Yes, but maybe could have lived without it in that situation? 2:12 Thad gets called for the foul. Again, from this angle, doesn’t look like much at all here. But reminds me a little bit of the foul on Prince earlier. Coaches and players hate this, but the ref waits to see if it goes in. The ref waits here because it’s probably minor contact, but even minor contact on a shooter can be significant. However, you don’t want an and-1 situation on minor contact like that. But you come and get it after if you feel the contact was enough to cause the miss. “But a foul is a foul!?!” Not always. Not saying I agree with the call though, but that’s probably the logic used here. 3:22 looks like Trent gets shooter on arm. However, the lead ref calls the foul on RJ. Again, angles are everything, but from this angle it looks like RJ gets him clean. However, perhaps he gets him with his right hand on the arm, which we can’t see. You will notice the Center official (one closest to the camera) had a call as well. I bet he was going to call it on Trent, which looks like he gets the shooter on the arm from behind. 4:25 looks like a good no call on Davis’s drive and then a good no call down the other way on Scottie’s drive, Reeves looks straight up and down. 5:02 Scottie clearly gets bumped by Davis on his gather. This is at least as big of a bump as Prince’s, which was called a foul, and certainly seems to be more than what Reeves got from Thad. That alone should be a shooting foul for Scottie. Looks like more contact on the way up too… These are the calls that infuriate coaches. As a reffing crew, no matter what you call, you want to be consistent on both ends. 5:21 Pascal clearly gets Davis on the arm on the way up. Again, this is a clear foul. But it’s tough when you don’t call the foul earlier on the other end. It’s like double punishment. Nothing really of note after that. As refs, we’re certainly aware when the foul count is out of whack. Sometimes it’s just the way it is: one team is more aggressive. But in those cases, we really want to make sure we don’t miss anything in favour of the other team. Again, hard to draw any real conclusions from just a few minutes of footage here. Wish I could break down the whole 4th quarter to get a better picture of what happened here.
Shame on you NBA for posting this… it was not an exciting finish at all but a blatantly one sided officiating. Raptors deserved to win. They played great basketball and yet Ben Taylor needed his lakers to win tonight.
Been a fan of the NBA for my whole life, the game is changing for sure. Definitely need more quickness off the whistle these days, especially in clutch time.

Impressive performance by king james in the last 4ms. Remaining without attempting a shot..he really contributed for the lakers win. Thats the real goat. 😂😂😂
Having observed this blatantly rigged game, it's evident that someone needs to be fired. If there's any uncertainty about the officiating, I encourage you to view the entire game before drawing conclusions. Many Americans who believe Raptors fans are being overly dramatic likely haven't actually watched the full game; they may have only seen highlights because lets be real, they have no reason to care about the Raptors. Even if you're not a Raptors fan, please take the time to watch this game to grasp the issues in the NBA. This is a matter that needs attention from all basketball fans, not just us Canadians.

The feeling I had after this game was the same feeling I had at age 8 when I found out that Santa Claus wasn't real.
Thanks NBA. You WERE FANtastic!
must be the title "FANTASTIC FINISHES BY REFS"
3:27 Raptors wanna walk off the court 😂
Shame on you NBA for posting this… it was not an exciting finish at all but a blatantly one sided officiating. Raptors deserved to win. They played great basketball and yet Ben Taylor needed his lakers to win tonight.
Rigged. What kind of foul was that at 3:21?
Shame to the league, raptors scored 70pts in the paint...for 2 free throws...this game made 2002 kings lakers seem legit...
with all the fouls on lakers,so wild
You mean for the Lakers…
Been a fan of the NBA for my whole life, the game is changing for sure. Definitely need more quickness off the whistle these days, especially in clutch time.
Toronto were robbed.
2:14 is just funny as heck . He clearly miss the shot . But the REFS CALLED A WHISTLE
Laker + Refs 132 / Raptors 131
Why do you post this now lol
where’s scotties made three and that ‘illegal screen’ call at the end…..
Awesome game by Ben Taylor!
Why is there some key sequences missing? Where is the offensive foul on RJ Barrett?
They don't want to show how the refs made money off this game
absolute fucking MASTERCLASS by Ben Tayor. Did you see how he was getting a big hardon whenever he blew the whistle against the Raptors? That man has a passion for blowing things.
The Lakers are my favorite team, but it was a judicial injustice
Someone make those refs some Lakers jerseys. They deserve it after this performance!! All star level rigging.
LA Coach be like: flop like you gonna die tomorrow. Refs helping us
2:11 says it all
Riggedddddddd
That fourth quarter stack of fouls against Raptors!!! Rigged and shameful.
the fact i’m seeing lakers fans even say it was rigged says enough (most lakers fans i’ve talked to hate bron in the team anyways) NBA will be much better off when he retires
I'd rather watch the players compete and the chips fall where they may than have the refs micromanage games favoring the outcome either way....
When both the Lakers and Raptors broadcast question the need to rule IQ's foul as flagrant... you know something is obviously wrong
Yoooo the caption is killing me 🤣🤣 nba knows what they're doing
Damn Anthony Davis got fouled only on the last one , but every time he went up in the 4th they just blow the whisle , come on
Impressive performance by king james in the last 4ms. Remaining without attempting a shot..he really contributed for the lakers win. Thats the real goat. 😂😂😂
Foul merchants
Having observed this blatantly rigged game, it's evident that someone needs to be fired. If there's any uncertainty about the officiating, I encourage you to view the entire game before drawing conclusions. Many Americans who believe Raptors fans are being overly dramatic likely haven't actually watched the full game; they may have only seen highlights because lets be real, they have no reason to care about the Raptors. Even if you're not a Raptors fan, please take the time to watch this game to grasp the issues in the NBA. This is a matter that needs attention from all basketball fans, not just us Canadians.
This video is a joke😊
When it comes down to it. Its not about this being for the Lakers. Its the fact that REFS are a problem and are controlling the outcome of ANY game. THAT is a problem. IF I was a gambler I'd never touch NBA. RIGGED
You notice they don’t show all the fouls in th.e clip tho
Refs were in double doubles tonight:
Bad calls and free throws giveaways
As a Lakers fan, I feel guilty that we won because the refs rigged the game... That drive from Scottie Barnes at 7:26 was definetely a foul
But lebron's shot vs the T-wolves was a three👁 👄👁
THE NBA CLAIMS TO BE A GLOBAL SPORT BUT DOESN'T EVEN GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THE 1 CANADIAN TEAM IN THEIR LEAGUE. THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE ANY NATIONAL TV GAMES THIS YEAR. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO GROW THE GAME. I'VE WATCHED SO MANY PRIME TIME NFL GAMES THIS YEAR THAT INVOLVED A LOT OF DIFFERENT TEAMS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE LEAGUE BUT YOU DON'T SEE THAT IN ADAM SILVER'S NBA
7:25 no way man!!! thats clearfoul!!!!
Lebron and the Lakers needed a win. Refs did what they were supposed to be doing. Damn, some people don't understand that this is Lebron's league. A whole flock of poor black children would starve to death in 5 minutes if he's not in the playoffs.
How times have changed: The NBA didn't allow CP3 to come to the Lakers, but now, they do EVERYTHING they can to elevate LeBron. It's all a bunch of BS now, and I've lost my zeal for the NBA.
The NBA is destroying everything beautiful about this game right now. It is disgusting to watch. Please just take LeBron and Silver out of this game. I didn't ever think I would be disgusted to watch basketball after loving it for more then 30 years right now.
The NBA owes the Raptors an apology with the way the referees used calls/non-calls to benefit the Lakers. The game was rigged.
I LOVE THAT DLO IS PLAYING WITH ATTITUDE! KEEP IT GOIN'. 💜💛
It was only a "CLOSE ENDING" due to the officiating. NBA have some respect.
So this is the help the lakers needed that everyone was talking about? At least something different than trading players 😂
THANKS, REFS! 👏👏
The league gotta stop hiring refs that fix games. The league clearly wants things like this to happen
Adam Silver and the Refs made sure her baby Bron will win the Championship this season.
