When the LAL play freely, moving the ball, and TRUSTING one another with everyone involved, they are extremely difficult to beat. They’re best when AD and LBJ are around 25 and guys like DLo AR Rui are around 12-19. TBH, DEN doesn’t really have an answer to stop them. They’re just intelligent enough to stay disciplined and let the LAL shoot themselves in the foot.

No one is really talking about it but after AD got in foul trouble he also stopped playing as aggressive when he got back in the game.
Rui missed a key shot that could have won them the game way before lebron missed. The margin of error is thin with this team.

@@dspbx718Rui has, perhaps, one of it not the slowest releases of the ball from point blank range. Drives me crazy, if he was just had a marginally quicker release he would have numerous 1 foot shots not blocked.

I mean there’s no way around that he’s been amazing this series. 32 per game 12.5 boards, 3.5 assists, 2.5 blks shooting 62% and 92% at the line. It hasn’t led to a win unfortunately but he’s objectively been amazing in the two games so far
They should run the offense through him. That’s how they played when they won the chip, and them running the offense through him had them up in game 2 and in game 4 of last seasons wcf. Problem is that they go away from him and start playing Lebron ball, which at this point in his career AD doesn’t fit perfectly with

What few people have talked about is that in game 2 the Lakers were making mostly very difficult shots for the first 2 1/2 quarters while the Nuggets were missing really good shots with a bunch of wide open looks. The Nuggets forced the Lakers into poor shots which they happened to make. The odds that either team will continue to shoot that way going forward are pretty slim. Nuggets in 5 or at the most 6.

This. When either team regress to the mean, it won’t be lakers up 20.
Plus the Nuggets play their game and adjust well around set, experienced parameters. They don’t eff around. No confusion at end of games. They get lazy and complacent sometimes, but less in the playoffs.
The Lakers aren’t that tight. AD and LBJ can take you pretty far but not that far.

Listen LeBron is a great player I have no hate for the man but if you watched the game the Lakers were up by 20 when LeBron had 12 points & 10 assists, letting AD go to work, & DLO be aggressive the minute he decided to start going iso ball the Nuggets got all the momentum & came back but LeBron ended up with 26, 8 & 12assists so on paper when you look at the box score it doesn’t look like he was the reason they lost, but at some point ppl need to see what the problem is. LeBron can go stat pad & go iso mode against any other team but it’s not working against the Nuggets, at some point we have to stop blaming every negative thing on Darvin Ham & actually look at the real problem!
Game 1 when Lebron seen DLO didn’t have it going he literally kept feeding him the ball & refused to shoot in the 2nd half but game 2 when DLO & AD have it going he wants to play iso ball the whole 2nd half???

Didn't you say that boy Curry is good when he loses too? He's the greatest player in the universe but he's not beating anybody. LeBron and KD could provide housing for every homeless person in their city and people would say they shouldn't do it. Jordan invests in prisons and gets praised. Every player does the exact same thing that LeBron did which is answer questions and say whatever they want to say.
They had to switch from AD. AD's job was to keep Joker in check the 2nd half and they went to Lebron in the 4th. You can't ask AD to handle the Joker all game and go get 40+ points. The bozos at ESPN are missing the simplest things. It's hard to win a game when the other team out rebounds you by 7, wins the turnover battle by 5 and turns that into 10 more field goal attempts. The Lakers were either even or won all the other statistical battles. If you win the battle of the boards and the turnover battle, you'll win most of those games.
The Nuggets won in bench scoring as well.

The coaches who used AD so well was Vogel for his 1st yr as a laker . And before that it was Alvin Gentry, who used him so well compared to how he is being utilized on the floor rn at times.

Nuggets know that Lakers will run out of steam in the 3rd and 4th quarters. So, they give hope to Lakers in the 1st and 2nd quarters and then kick them out in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
Denver might sweep the Lakers again but I think the Lakers will at least win one game. The media talking more about the Lakers losing than Denver winning. When they go through LeBron they lose! When they go through AD they win! Lebron slows the game down and the Nuggets rest on defense because there’s no ball movement! DLO and AD we’re cooking but Lebron started trying to get his numbers instead simply feeding the 2 Hot hands.
AD got into foul trouble
Which required lebron to come back off the bench earlier than he was supposed to and try to score since AD PICKED UP HIS 4th foul with 3 mins or so left in the 3rd quarter.
Lebron was extremely passive till that very moment he had to come back in for AD.
Conveniently you left out the part where in the second half, Dlo cooled down and seated missing shots again. AD got into fault trouble and had to sit . When he got back into the game, he also cooled down. No one else was making shots in the 4th. LeBron kept them in the game after Denver took back the lead. Context matters.
