This makes me weep every time. I've no idea why. People throughout the ages just having fun and enjoying themselves, and now who knows where they are. i just feel such love for them all. It's so beautiful and sad.
Their’s no shame in grieving; for good times past and the folk passed. As the clips are from many decades ago, some may be still with us but in the most part, they will have gone and left this record of their excellent spirit.
@MLeon History repeats itself, 2023 and iPlayer BBC Scotland channel allows it to share this wee treasure with the rest of the UK. The combination of life as it was, captured and collated, with a modest, accurate lyric and downright catchy theme tune literally time-travels you to another era. King Creosote opens up a refreshing view of Scotland through his thoughtful songs and beautifully delivered ballads.
It's not a band...King Creosote is the name that Kenny Anderson ( a Scot ) works under in the same way that Conor Oberst is Bright Eyes, Tim Showalter is Strand Of Oaks, Justin Vernon is Bon Iver etc.etc.
EnosEverything O.K thanks - I've got great hopes for him - mind you I said the same thing a year ago about the Birmingham based band Swimdeep and whatever happened to them...
the late Benjamin Lo-Fi is pleased to have discovered this, thanks to a friend who mentioned it in Clapham Junction Caffe Nero, which is ahotbed of measured thought, reason, and camaraderie...
My young friend Rachael is having a baby soon. I have sent some pictures on the Northern light that happened on the night she found out she is having a boy. I am sending the CDs of From Scotland with Love and I DES as a birth present. I hope her boy will dance!
Wayne is the member of a band called The Found who hail from the same stable as King Creosote . Kenny just thought of his personality and character when they were supporting him on tour and name checked him in the lyric which he was penning at the time.
Interesting, until 90's you could go months before experiencing "diversity", yet in a 2.54 clip set in the 60's they managed to achieve it. That'll be BBC diversity for you.

Has this anything to do with Clinic or Belle and Sebastian?
I think it does. Both are two great songs made by talented musicians. Is that fair enough? :)
