I went out to my garage and did one and didn’t like it on my 2009 blade silver. I have all the black emblems and black zr1 wheels so they just add balance aesthetically to the lower brake cooling vent on the ZOH. Muchas gracias 🙏 keep posting. You have a lot of great vids that have helped me.
Wow great idea. I'm bummed I didn't do this earlier because my car is clear bra'd and if I remove the handle it will show the seam. Keep it up man...
Jason, you are the FIRST one ever to present this mod! lol Love it! Of course the after-market guys are going to HATE you. :-) Sometimes the most brilliant improvements/modifications are the simplest. I actually removed my door pull guards and painted them body-color. Now I'm going to do your removal because I really like the look. Plus, it's bound to give me a better 1/4 mile time due to less wind resistance. lol Keep those "wacky" and "cool" ideas of yours coming! You just made my weekend! Save the Wave.
Hahahahaha! Oh, I know this is nothing new. Honestly, I just wanted and excuse to drink some beer and mess with my car with little effort and make another fun video. 😀 I never thought about the .0000001 second 1/4 mile time improvement!

I know it’s been a couple of years but I just saw this. I went out to the garage and did it right away. Love the look. But the latch sensor does look more exposed and fragile now. I’m wondering if anyone has had any issues or problems over time after doing this great appearance mod?
Tried this on my black GS, the paint under the handles unfortunately couldn’t be buffed to match the rest of the door due to some pitting from never being cleaned :/ thanks for the idea anyway!
That's a bummer. The bright side is yoru car is black so they don't stand out and you don't have to paint them. Also, since your car is black there's going to be less fingerprints on the door by keeping them on. 😎

Just replaced both of my doors sensors and didnt think of that awesome jason.
Curious...Did you replace them or just clean them?
Replaced both outside door sensors passenger side was going out, so i bought them tru amazon and replaced them. Paid less than $40 i believe
Cool. I saw somewhere that you can take them apart and rebuild/clean them but I haven't had to do that just yet.
@@InJasonsGarage I can vouch for just cleaning them, 99% of the time they just get a little moisture in them and a light corrosion is all it is. Just lightly clean with scotch bright pad, spray a little contact cleaner, air dry a few minutes and a very thin film of electrical grease.
@@michaeldodd8967 Interesting that you mentioned...my passenger side seems to hesitate when I try to open it. Time to give it a good cleaning!
Whats the next big mod for the vette?! I just ordered an all carbon fiber body kit, spoiler, side skirts, front splitter from c7 carbon, and installed an mgw race spec flat stick short throw shifter on my c6z06! Thinking of doing customized floor matts from lloyd next!
I am SO glad you asked that question. While I still have some videos from this past summer ready to be edited and uploaded, it is definitely time for me to do something more significant soon. What do YOU think it should be?
I would add the MGW Race Spec Flat Stick short shifter or try doing the muffler mod with the mild to wild switch!
Armando Estrada So...I already have a MGW shifter. I would have done a video on it...if my camera hadn't mysteriously not record the sound. :( For the record, great shifter!

That’s meant to hold the pad in place. In time the screws from the pad will loosen up from opening and closing the door. Then will have to replace the whole thing. It was there for a reason. Thanks for presenting the idea anyway.
Interesting. When I tightened the screws without the trim piece, the screws set flush and tight to the door surface. How does having the trim piece keep the screws from loosening?
