this is an incredible video that shares real world implementable advice, instead of copy pasting the same generic advice for SEO that many others do. thank you!
I never comment on UA-cam videos, but I just wanted to say THANK YOU. Everything was so well explained, in-depth, understandable, and useful. Thank you so much. You just earned a sub.
Got one question about technical SEO. If we're using an accordion type layout, does the text inside the accordion (that is initially set to display:none basically) gets indexed properly? For example, if i'm trying to create a page and i'm trying to get to 1500 total words, can i count on the text inside the accordion for the total word count? Hopefully that makes sense 😁
@@babusgabriel That's a great question. User experience is the no. 1 ranking factor. If you're using an accordion or tabs to make the information easier to find and process, then this is a good thing! It sends a positive signal to Google. Also, I would recommend not to obsess with the word count. Instead, focus on the experience again. Sometimes a shorter article will do better, sometimes a longer article will do better. It all boils down to the users needs, and what's the best way to address these needs :) As a rule of thumb, always try to create an immersive experience. It's great if you can show something with images and video, and not tell with a bunch of text. Cheers!
Wow that was packed. Great video. Covers everything I've been learning on my own about SEO and more on top of that. I'll be checking back to this for reference for sure.
I really love this! Especially the CWV section. I'm curious about the global canonical in the settings: I didn't think it was meant as cross-domain to refer to the original site author. I believe the purpose in Webflow settings is to set up internal self-referencing automation across the site? Thanks again.
You're right about Webflow settings, these are just for internal self-referencing. However, if for example, another site is using your article, they can also add a canonical link to your site.
This video is super useful, thanks! I would have appreciated a bit more jump cuts in the editing to make things move a bit faster and skip the moments where you (great) host is thinking or breathing for 2sec ;)
Thanks for the feedback, we'll keep that in mind in the future! One thing that might help, is to set the speed to 2x, then you only have to watch me think for 1 second. :D
Great video ! I have a question : when you log into your Google account in order to add your site to Google Search console / getting the verification id, do you need to do it with the Google account of the client or can you do this with your own Google account ?
Question you guys, can I just use my Blog post name in the CMS at the title tag? Why are we creating another field for the blog post name? Unless there will be moments where the blog post name is diff then the title tag. I just want the logic behind it if someone can answer this. Thanks!
Thank you for detailed explanations. However, your suggestion to download and then upload google fonts to Webflow instead of choosing from Google fonts list in Webflow does not work properly. Not sure if that is a bug on Webflow end. I tried this with my website, and you can see that "Lora" font is not being displayed as it should. If choose from Google fonts list, everything is displayed ok.
At 19:02 you mention linking the 3 resources in the description of the video: "Webflow's Accessibility checklist" "A11Y Project checklist" "Finsweet Accessiblity for Webflow". Where are they ??? The only link of the 3 you provide is your own Finsweet one. Where are the other 2?
Recaptcha has actually really negatively affected sites I've worked on because captcha wouldn't even work with Webflow and it caused potential customers to not be able to fill out the form, losing customers, I'd rather get bot messages with customers than no messages at all.
Sorry, but what do you mean by not using ReCaptcha? It was advertised by Webflow to me and I used it now in my first project for a client. Does that mean now I cannot even delete it and it will always be loaded, no matter what I do? So the only solutions ito start over from scratch? You must be kidding me lol..I've spent literally like 300+ hours on this and now I gotta start again if I want good performance?
I appreciate how well you articulate yourself, man. Came to see more about webflow's functionality, stayed because you really know your stuff.

Finsweet is king! The GOAT!
Hey thanks for this awesome tutorial! SIDENOTE: what's the music that plays at the very beginning?
12:40 do you recommend we submit for indexing as shown using a client google account, or our own? Or does it not matter?
Great video ! I have a question : when you log into your Google account in order to add your site to Google Search console / getting the verification id, do you need to do it with the Google account of the client or can you do this with your own Google account ?

This is so good! but how about the links to webflow/finsweet checklists you promised?
Never mind, found them:
www.a11yproject.com/checklist/
www.finsweet.com/client-first/docs/accessibility
webflow.com/accessibility/checklist

I noticed that this happens when you choose the wrong weight when you upload the font. Otherwise it works :)

Great video - always love learning little tips and tricks. When it comes to reCAPTCHA, how does one add this manually though with custom code?

How to add canonical tags to dynamic pages in webflow.

Webflow needs to offer invisible Capcha...it is so much better than V2.
How is no one talking about his mid video haircut 😂😂
Sorry, but what do you mean by not using ReCaptcha?
It was advertised by Webflow to me and I used it now in my first project for a client.
