I'm a school psych too! I love your office. The pumping issue is so real. I have been walked in on so many times even with the door locked. People with a master key will just open the door it's so awkward.
Thank you so much for posting a new video! I appreciate since I would imagine your to do list is plenty full. As I start practicum in August, I am excited to see how your office is set-up. I would love more tips about making testing run more smooth or other tricks, time savers you have. Jules
Hi Tiffany. My wife is about to finish her school psyc program in a few months your videos helped her a lot in what to expect along the way. I want to get her a gift box full of items that are handy and useful for the job. I was wondering if you could recommend some things.
Hi, I am very interested in becoming a school psychologist but I read a lot of comments about others wishing they chose a different career and that the job is extremely demanding. I have no issues with a demanding job as long as I get breaks and time alone to regroup. I apologize for the long comment in advance and hope that you get a chance to respond. 1.How much free time do you typically get on a work day? 2. What characteristics make a good school psychologist? 3. Is conflict common with this job? 4. What is the quality of life like for a school psychologist during the school year? 5. In your opinion, Would your typical SP have enough energy to be a part time therapist after work hours?
@@TiffanyLee I’m a teacher at the moment and interested in becoming a school psychologist in my 40s. Do you need a psychology degree to apply for the grad program?
Psych undergrad here who is excited for school psychology. Thank you for this! :)
Thanks for watching! ❤
Currently in my last year of school psych (Year 4)!

Enjoyed watching your video as I begin to decorate my own office. What test kits do you have in your office?
The mini fridge will be a must-have for my first year 😅
All schools should have a staff lounge with a communal fridge but having one in my office is sooo convenient

Do school psychologists work during the summer?
Most have summers off unless you take a longer contract (usually more $$)! It’s one of the only major perks of working in public ed 😂
