Thanks for the mention Mark! It's that time of year, my least favourite time (as a gardener). But at least we get to plan ahead to next year to see what we might plant next year.
I moved my esete indoors and completely cut it down to a stump in one diagonal cut. 35 days later it has a full set of leaves, however now short enough to fit in my dining room. Such an amazing plant that can go from a stump to full recovery in a matter of a few weeks.
Hi Steve. Sorry for the delay. I did a video about musa basjoo 2 days ago in which I mention the ginger. Also i filmed one yesterday which demonstrates, should be published Sunday evening. Best wishes. Mark
I had the same problem with my ensete this year not as good as last year and the roots weren’t great either. I put it down to fighting with the bamboo which had been dug up now so I’m hoping it does much better next year!
Hi brenda have you dug yours up for winter? I definitely think mine has gone backwards this year. If it gets through winter I'm going to give it much more organic matter next spring. It is worrying me a little. Mark
Mark, I’m have a few Musa Bajoo plants that I’m trying to grow indoors zone 6 in the USA. They’re struggling with brown leaves.. I’m monitoring the moisture, make sure they have indirect light, proper fertilizer ratios and still I can’t get more than 2 healthy leaves before they turn brown… what else can I try?
Maybe try direct light or perhaps a plant light for a while. It will be one of the variable. Light, temperature, water, food, disease. My immediate thought is more light and warmth less water and check for pests?
Thanks for the mention Mark!

Hi Peter. You're welcome. Watch out for the musa basjoo frame video. Coming soon! Mark

Isn't it amazing. And also, aren't we having strange weather? Let's hope they all come through the winter. Mark
Mark, will you be doing a video on winter care for gingers? Or rather Hedychiums?
