    Thank you for this video. It's helped me a lot tonight and it was perfect timing because I really needed to hear what you had to say. I am struggling a lot right now with my husband and having issues being intimate. Hoping it's not my karma and something we can work through together, because I know he is the one and we love each other...I'm just really struggling right now.

    Honestly I feel like I can't go back to an enlightened state after all that's happened, I have been stalked and harassed by men a lot throught the last two years and I built up a lot of negative emotions.

      Dear Evil,
      Thank you for share this with us and sorry to hear how you've been suffering from this in the last years.
      What we resist, persists. We naturally want to avoid pain, and that includes our feelings. Trying to push the emotion away may work for a little while, but these tendencies can make the pain much worse in the end. Instead, it is better to identify it, face it head-on, and begin working on a more positive way of thinking. While patterns of thoughts and feelings can be difficult to change, luckily you're the one in control of how you feel.

    Thank you for your Video Michael, it'd help me a lot! But I still got a question. When I make someone else suffer, or when I'm responsible for her/his emotional state, and that person canceled the contact to me for 4 months already; I know that I did things, even though they were unintentional and unconcious, but these words/actions had an effect on her - even when I cleanse my karma, it still effects that person right? It's not, only because I'm free of impact/effect of this karma on me - doesn't mean, she is free of it right?
    Of course I know, that I am only able to help myself to a 100% and not somebody else, that she herself needs to help her out of her feelings towards me, but anyway, she feels like that, because of me. So what to do? Do nothing and just be happy on my own, whilst I know that someone else suffered because of me, even though it was not on purpose but through a karmic entanglement of both of us?
    Could someone help me out? Maybe you, Michael, yourself?

    When something bad happens in our life and we, through the practice of mindfulness and meditation, cut ourselves off in some way from the feeling of suffering inside us, one could say, we remain indifferent, do we burn karma in this case? Or, to get rid of karma, do we have to go through suffering and succumb to the feelings that accompany it?

      Dear Alex, I hope you are well. So the message of this video is exactly that: to learn to really feel the suffering that is inside of us, without putting your mind's stories to it, one's self-pity, blame or anything like that. Just to really feel it. Otherwise, what happens we actually hold on to it and keep re-living the emotion because we never actually really learn to feel it. Meditation is no escapism, it is including and embracing life completely.

      I think it depends how you meditate..and different types of meditation can accelerate or otherwise the burning up of the kamma. So for example if one can watch the mind objectively and at the same time not react at all ..eg by moving one’s posture to be more comfortable, then the kamma will get burnt up more quickly…but the important thing in this is that whatever arises in the mind, one should remain relaxed both in body and mind. Generally the stuff’ which arises in the mind when we are still is not pleasant …past kamma arising …and if we can be patient and relaxed and just allow it to be ..watching it objectively…then it will cease. Most people are attached to comfort and are not patient or willing to experience the unpleasantness and then the kamma will take much longer to dissipate.
