If there’s one person in the anime I feel bad for, it’s Light’s mother, Sachiko Yagami. She lost both her husband and son (who was obviously Kira and ended up dying from his own actions in the end) and her daughter got so traumatized over the kidnapping incident, it broke her mental state and she got confined to a wheelchair. Her family is in shambles and Light was solely responsible for ruining his own family.
If it's any consolation, the manga did show that his sister Sayu eventually recovered to live life again without the wheelchair, but she and the mom were told that Light died trying to find Kira and not that he was Kira.
@@raikonzeroi didn't know that thx for info
Fun fact its speculated that the reason why light died in the middle of the stair was because of the rule that said he cant go to heaven or hell the stairs symbolizes that fact that because of this crime he cant cross over into heaven and even the devil didnt want him
Bruh ain't no way you stole my shi 😭
@@monger1 naaa bro it's twin
Well no.. it’s because people who use the death note don’t go to heaven or hell. Nothing like what u said lol
@gazeinthesky no ita a theory I saw I not saying it's true or not but ik that people that die don't go to heaven or he'll I just saying what u saw said that the stairs was another way to show it
@@IAMATOMIC2021 i mean like u saying his crimes meant he couldn't cross over to heaven. he saved 200x more people than he killed, so that wouldn't matter lol.. im just saying that's irrelevant
Light Yagami is insane! There's no doubt about that
He obviously went mad with power.
"Locking the door, LIKE HE WAS BOUT TO BEAT DAT THANG!!!"
See, I gotta disagree with y'all on how Light went out. For how pumped up his ego got, he absolutely deserved a bitch's end. No dignity for him after how he toyed with people's lives for 5-6 years. L only truly loses so long as all his pieces are taken off the board, while Light loses when he alone is removed. Him not thinking L had accounted for his own death was his biggest mistake, and as we saw when L baited him that first time, he's quick to assume his complete victory. That fatal flaw's been there since the beginning.
And he def ain't getting any type of sympathy from me either.
This video of CJ's was where I first heard the "HAWK TUAH" meme before I looked up the real one xD and the Doffy video was where I first heard the term "69 god" 😂
I would argue that Near and Mello were collectively more like L's trump card if something happened, more than anything.
In other words, their victory is L's victory in my book, for all intents and purposes.
A guy that thinks he's a god loses everything and is scared af. I think the end makes sense for Light.
Light went out like a B*tch. He was a gr8 villain but what he did to his family is unforgivable
Yeah, still though I felt bad that he gave up his identity for his sister. He loved them, but he still caused their grief. It’s tragic
After light killed that woman and made her hang herself, I watched the reat of the series hoping he would go out like a b##ch. I felt vindicated by the ending. But God damn was that a lot of bodies.
Light Yagami has become exactly what he hates, it absolute murdering monster
0:26 In Bakuman, another story from Ohba about the process of making manga, the characters write a story fairly similar to death note, and they are pressured by their publisher to continue the story instead of ending it were they wanted to, they ended up going against their publisher and gave the story the ending they wanted.
This has led people to theorize that this was Ohba’s way of retelling a true story, being forced to continue a completed story instead of letting it have a fitting ending, and cathartically creating a world where he ended death note where it should have.
I love deathnote to death!! Pun intended! I literally understand why people said it should’ve ended when L died but then L would keep killing so I don’t think it should’ve. I personally am happy it didn’t because then we wouldn’t get the most iconic laugh in anime history!
Can't believe his kill count 134K better than all serial killers in history 😂
The death note worked so well because of how many rules it has to stop it from being too op
If you’ve never seen the Japanese live action from 2006 I highly recommend it. It has a different twist on the ending that is far more satisfying than the anime/manga.
If you watched the end of the video, he's gonna do the Shredder next.
Update, he's done it. It's up right now.
Light Yagami the goat 🗣🗣‼️
As smart as Light was he still aint Lelouch
❤❤❤🎉🎉
Death Note is my favorite anime, because of the human psychology aspect to it
In biology (or some other science) a half life isn't as bad as it seems. You keep halving the total but you never actually hit zero. Eg 100 half life is 50 then 25 then 12.5 then 5.75 (I think, my math could be off). You get into quarter lives and all other complex things but, if her life expectancy was 100 years old, you could use this as to how many YEARS were taken off.
After making the deal twice, it's a miracle she lived to her late 20s, 'cause realistically, she shouldn't have seen even a single day past 25.
0:26 disagreed completely
Maybe the anime didnt do the story as well bit in the manga the story after L is what makes death note peak

The japanese live action of death note is amazing came out years ago. Way better tgan netflix
CJ's video on Light reminded me why I hated him so much. Also that one-shot involving Mamoru,I like the one-shot just not the ending. Also had you not paused you would have CJ giving the heads up for the next round table trial involving Shredder
Fact: never meet a shinigami

Very constrained to rules unlike jjk...
