We are now at a point in American history where I trust the Hells Angels more than elected officials, appointed law enforcement, or news broadcasters. This report exemplifies all three.
Actually they arent. Just like the Government and media gaslit the American public with the Italian mafia, the Taliban, etc., they are doing the same with the cartels. Are they ruthless organized crime syndicates? 100%. But are they so powerful and dangerous they pose a threat to the US? No. The drug crisis is because the US government refuses to end the Drug War because billions upon billions of dollars are spent each year "fighting" it. Whole agencies would lose their buget tomorrow if the Drug War was ended. Organized crime is a business, the cartels arent kidnapping American and murdering Americans, that is a myth. Just like with the Italian mob, the bosses dont want unnecessary problems to interfere with their businesses which are not all about drugs. They own hotels, resorts, plantations, etc., etc., etc. The last 2 or 3 times Americans were killed in Mexico, it was the Cartels who captured the banditios and gang members who did it... As for "Human trafficking", like the government and media LOVES to pin on the cartels, that too is not a cartel operation. Those are human smuggling networks that are a seperate criminal organization. The average American is so dumb and so brainwashed by what the government and media says its insane. I rode with the Hells Angels back in '72. Just got back to the states from Vietnam.....bought a chopper, and was riding outside SF towards San Jose and saw a group of bikes comin up from behind. My mirrors were vibrating too much to make out a lot of detail until they started going around me. As I remember, there were approximately 20 to 24 bikes, two rows, one on each side of me. They were flying colors from various cities in Northern and southern California. Oakland, SF, San Jose and were all admiring my ride. They were all past me in about a minute or two, so, for a couple of minutes..........I rode with the Hells Angels!
I spent 15 years around the club from the time I was 17 until I was 32 (1980-1995) For the last 42 years I’ve had Oakland 1% tattooed on me and on August 12, 1984 when I was at a high ranking members home in his garage I got asked “what my intentions were with his club” I told him to be an Oakland Hells Angel by the end of the week I became a voted in hang around. After leaving the meeting (church) I was so happy, I told my wife, she cried I told other friends of mine that have been around the club for years they said what the F is wrong with you. My childhood friend copt and attitude because he never got asked we ended up fighting out in the back of the clubhouse. The VP took under wing and became a father figure to me but after 4 months I told him I was going to quit hanging around. He was so sad we were in his garage and we both had tears in our eyes he told that I had a future with the club that was the hardest decision I ever had to make. But I got saved at 10 years old and I had to choose who I was going to serve? I didn’t hide my love for Jesus around any members I wore my Jesus hat’s and shirts I never had an issue with anyone before I was a hang around or even after I quit. I still stayed around the club for another 10yrs I was well liked and making the transition back to a civilian was no problem. Every body is long gone from that era in the Oakland Charter but it was the best of times!

Enjoy your bike, but most clubs want a minimum of 700cc or 45ci ish to participate as not to hold up riding around. Enjoy your sled mate, they are stupid reliable, and fun as hell as long as you don't need to get on the freeway.
They have been banned in Denmark. They are not even allowed to wear those jackets. They are so harassed by police and they make life for them difficult.

A lot of members retire out from club participation after the years. It is a lot of dedication and work to ride all over and go to events and raise money for fundraisers like toys for tots or Autism. Once one gets older that get difficult keep up. So for years of participation the older members of the club can ask of retirement, retain their colors and recognition as long standing members. That takes a lot of time and dedication to the club to get to that point, but anyone can turn in their colors, club paraphernalia and leave if they choose at any time if they need to. Life happens and most often they are out with Honor and respect when they do.
The only reason more Hell's Angels are not in prison, is incompetence of prosecutors. As far as lawyers go, prosecutors are those that could not make it in private practice or corporate law.

Back in the 80s, I used to hang out at a bar after work. And I used to drink with many motorcycGang members never had a problem. Also, I'm in Canada, so maybe it's Different here. It was a very pleasant experience. I have nothing bad to say about them. One of them even gave me a ride On his motorbike.

I hope they get good lawyers and good juries once this finally makes it's way to trial. Hell's Angels always gets targeted so historically, they look like bad guys & criminals, but almost every Angel I've met were really good people.

@@morrisonreed1 I agree, they're not always innocent, they're notorious for doing a lot of really bad things, but not all of the chapters are actively involved in crime - many have reformed because of getting older and having grandchildren, they are even involved in community work now. They still have targets on them at all times and it's one of those things that no matter what they do, they have a stigma and people have implicit biases with bikers.=they're not called the hells Angels for nothing. 👹😇
The "romantic" lifestyle of the outlaw biker is a thing of the past. Hurting people and/or your community is wrong. Did you see what the "biker club" did to a civilian father & his 16yr old son in Montana last year? A group of them almost murdered both of them. All over an accidental bump at an event and some words. One of their old ladies hit a 16yr old boy in the head with a baseball bat because he was trying to save his Dad from being killed by 10+ "club members".
I should add it was NOT Hells Angel's.
It does make you a "Real Biker" to buy a Harley and get on the road. Any bike really. So stop with that crap. Not many want to be a 1% club member.

I guess you'd say that about MS 13 if they did toys for tots runs too? I get the whole PR thing but they're in prison for everything from drug distribution, prostitution, extortion, murder, rape, racketeering etc. The meth they distribute these days is all from the cartels and they have been classified by law enforcement as "a criminal enterprise." I'm not saying some people aren't born to be outlaws but I'm also not saying they're good guys either.

Back in the 80s, I used to hang out at a bar after work. And I used to drink with many motorcycGang members never had a problem. Also, I'm in Canada, so maybe it's Different here. It was a very pleasant experience. I have nothing bad to say about them. One of them even gave me a ride On his motorbike.
