I was reviewing some of your older videos and ran across this gem. Best reality TV I’ve seen in years. Enjoyed every minute of the trail that was your trial 😏
Holy cannoli....thanks for the reality of mountain biking. You two were DETERMINED. But I must give kudos to the edit job on the other Mountain bike ride. You made that ride look doable. Thanks for the comparison.🚲
I was watching another one of the videos you have out there and saw this one in the list. I'm not even hardly started watching it. We didn't stay at the RV park, we stayed down in the canyon. What a wonderful place to stay!!! I wish more of the full timers would show it on UA-cam. So excited to see someone doing a video on Palo Duro!!
I cannot imagine going there in the heat of the summer, no thanks! We were there in March, it was fantastic. Cool enough at night that we needed a little bit of heat in the RV. But, warm enough during the day we were in short sleeves and shorts. The hiking was fantastic. We hiked enough trails though that I know for certain I wouldn't want to mountain bike any of them. All the spots down in the canyon are spread out nicely. The RV park up top (though probably had better cell coverage) looked a little tight to me. I don't know how long your rig is or what the length limitations at the park are. But, we fit in the two different sites we parked in well with our 31 foot rig and our truck.
Get a set of those tire liners.. goes between the rubber and tube.. it'll minimize flats from the tread.. you still have a risk from the side walls, but.. ❤️ this!!
I wish I had been following you guys back then. I could have gotten you to the lighthouse. You guys were literally right around the corner from it. If you come back through our area, give me a shout.
We did fall off the wagon for a bit and I put on some lbs! But I am back on track and back in Planet Fitness! It is so hard to stay on a routine on the road. But I am going to try and stick with it this time.
Just ran across your channel, loved this video. I'll have to watch more for sure. We were at Palo Duro Canyon SP a month or so ago and had been considering going back with the bikes. HOWEVER, after watching you guys, umm, think we'll just leave the bikes at home,,,hahaha. Seriously, thanks for sharing guys. Y'all have a good one. Brandon
Awesome video, the mountain bike ride looks like a blast to me. When I was younger, long before mountain biking came around, I used to ride the fire roads throughout the Angeles National Forest in California on a single speed Schwinn scrambler bmx bike, My legs and calves looked like tree trunks .. lol, very rewarding to say the least, ran into some really strange places like a Government experimental Forest, and a two Lane bridge literally in the middle of the forest joining two mountain tops and it leads to nothing, known as " The bridge to nowhere"... lol
We lived in Amarillo for four years and spent some time in that park. I'm sorry but I couldn't help but be amazed at your fortitude and laugh at the same time during the part where you were biking on that trail. I admire your wonderful attitude through the whole event/ordeal. Look forward to all your videos.
Oh my gosh!!! 😂😂 We absolutely loved this video. Thank you for showing “what really happened”. I am so sorry to say that we absolutely lost it during all your struggles and pains. But it was relatable and genuine. So great!! 😂😂
I will tell you a secret....I totally had a meltdown on during this "ride." It was not pretty! But now we see this video and laugh! I dont know why we kept going with our bikes. That trail was clearly a HIKE and not a RIDE! lol Thanks for laughing along with us! Happy New Year
No, Thank You! The last video was supposed to be unlisted and should not have been viewable. Not sure what I did wrong. As you can see my computer was not cooperating last night. Thanks for taking another peek!
This is ken and Jane. We have been all over since May. We are at Bryce Canyon Utah. It’s raining. We just did a hike to the top of the sierras. Thought I was goingto die.
We can't wait to get to Utah! It is so beautiful. I really want to see if for myself. Well thankfully I survived to face more fear on that dang bike! lol
O M Goodness! There is no way in heck I could get Sally on a hike in the desert of Texas in a day its going to to be 100! Beautiful hike tho. Sally is more of a cool beverage on a hot day kind of girl. Love the "Tagging". when we are past the dreaming phase.. we will meet you after that Biking with a MaiTai :-) (you know.. Hawaii ppl)
Hi guys Glenda and I have been in the canyon. My suggestion next time try horse back. Ok while you're there stop by Big Tex in Amarillo great food no doubt a slice of Americana. Have a great time congrats on driving little bit. See ya on the road we are in Ennis MT.
Hi Michael! We did pop into Big Tex and it was delicious with excellent customer service. We found it on the food network and thought we would try it out. Next, time we will take our camera! I think horse back might be a little safer! baahahahaha I hope you are enjoying MT temps as we are cooking in Texas! Thanks for watching....safe travels.
Learned the hard way at this place, my wife and I were road cyclist and (friends) took us here for an easy ride! Never more frustrated in my life a miserable experience. Ate cactus and rocks all day, only experienced mtb riders should be here. your language and mine were completely different.
Hey Guys! We must have very nearly passed each other at Palo Duro!! Great video - love the perspectives and the honesty of how tough the trail is. Seeing that prickly pear right next to the trail is scary! We stayed on the road as we have a touring motorcycle - folks get to see the REAL Palo Duro from your video! Great Job!
Hi Drive to Ride! Thanks for watching and yes the trail was very tough!! But I bet your view from the bike is nice and relaxing! To bad we missed each other! Maybe next time. I hope you are beating the heat! Safe travels
Hate to tell you but mountain biking etiquette is to "not improve the trail" (which pretty much includes moving rocks). I know that sounds crazy to a lot of people but it really is a thing. LOL! But in a State Park I don't really think it's "as big of an issue" because most of those using the trails are probably hikers rather than bikers. Just so you know, I didn't know this was a thing until I began reading some comments on forums frequented by avid mountain bikers. (Dang, they REALLY get their noses bent out of shape when someone makes the trail easier. hahaha) As far as I'm concerned, you're good. ESPECIALLY if you two protect me from those big ass spiders on the trail in that other video I just watched. ROFL

What a great way to put it!! 😂
I love that you all are real people and show us the frustrating parts too!
Life is a roller coaster ride! Might as well show you guys our dumber ideas! Bahahaha!
I like the double screen when you’re leaving the park.
You guys are so real sounding! What a crazy trail to ride on a bike!
You would have thought I would have learned my lesson after Colorado! But nope! hahaha
Holy cannoli....thanks for the reality of mountain biking. You two were DETERMINED.
But I must give kudos to the edit job on the other Mountain bike ride. You made that ride look doable.
Thanks for the comparison.🚲
HAHAHA....thanks Elizabeth. We were total knuckleheads on that ride....we should have turned around at the beginning!

We loved it there. I would like to return in the fall when its cooler so we can enjoy it a bit more.

Thanks Peter!
I wish I had been following you guys back then. I could have gotten you to the lighthouse. You guys were literally right around the corner from it. If you come back through our area, give me a shout.
That would have been awesome

Spoken like a true Sailor!
I love that you two get your exercise in wherever you go! Thank you for the videos!

Well if you are smarter than us you will choose a better trail for riding! lol
Found myself leaning in my chair AWAY from all the drop-offs/cliffs... 👀

As far as I’m concerned, you both are all stars. That was one nasty trail.
Nasty is an understatement!
You guys are hilarious! Hope to meet up on the road someday. Go Navy!
Leonard Marlborough thanks! We love to laugh and hoped it would make others laugh! Were you Navy?
Yep! A3 in Pt Mugu, C-118 out of New Orleans and Whidbey Island. Just posted a pic of my tat I got recently on your Facebook page
Leonard Marlborough nice! I saw the tat....very nice!! Go Navy for sure!
Another great video!! 🙂👍👍.
Thanks again Dean....this was certainly a challenge!
You should do Guadalupe Mountain if y'all are still in the area! It's no joke, but it's so gorgeous!
We are back in SA but I'm sure we will be driving back through the area in the future so thanks for the tip! Thanks for watching.
"You know we're not even a mile up this thing yet?" "Stop talking." I love it! :) :) :)

Loved the tagging. Go Navy, Beat Army. Stacy looks ready for a yellow shirt, float coat and flight deck cranial to guide you in.

Well, you missed the footage that hit the cutting room floor including my meltdown! lol This is a hike not a ride!!
Yikes... that mountain bike ride was scary... I believe I would have thrown the bike down the hill and walked out LOL🚲
Well, if you want to know a secret I did have a mini melt down and at that point I wanted to chuck it over a cliff at one point but I didn't! lol
I thought I heard that gentleman say you would be better off walking 🚶 but great video 👍👍👍

Why do we do everything the hard way? ROFLOL I thought I was the only wife making that declaration.
Well good to know I am not alone!! :)
Where not even a mile up yet....stop talking! Funny Stacey.
Great video, but 500 miles is WAY too far to go in one day. Life is too short to rush through it. Slow down, relax. GO Air Force!
Agreed! We had way to many appointments and obligations since hitting the road. Finally, we are slowing down!!

If you hadn't guessed.. I HATE spiders. haha
"I woulda made that! You stopped me." hahahahahahahaha (I love this channel)
Who knew!! Well I guess I will leave the rocks unless they are trying to kill me! Hahaha
😬😬😳😳😂
Ya, we hiked to a fire lookout. Lol
Ya go navy!
