The most unrealistic part of this clip is that the teenage daughter came when her dad called just once.
to be fair, he sounded pretty desperate. Teens don't like to show they care but if you're screaming like you're having a heart attack, they'll come running over.
I think there is a difference with the relationship a teenager has witht their parent. Clint was a good father but often times he wasnt home due to his avenging job. So i reckon whenever he was home it was a special occasion meaning his children would often be quite excited to hear him calling them especially when he just arrives.

@@iSatonaka That's probably why he craves them. Shrinking/growing might leave you short on vitamin C somehow, too, which would explain explicitly craving citrus fruits.
We do know it puts a strain on a person's body, especially over time. Hank Pym explains to Scott that he had to retire as Ant-Man because he'd strained his system so much that if he kept using the suit regularly, it would kill him.
In the comics, Hank got stuck at various giant sizes more than once, and even had a heart attack when he was about 30 feet tall. He also switched later in his career to mostly shrinking and regrowing tech gadgets and staying the same size himself whenever possible for a similar reason to MCU Hank.
Little did he know that by taking that glove, he fundamentally altered the future of that particular timeline, making way for the rise of Apocalypse.
Likely with just as much a significant change as if he chose vs not chosing to wipe his butt in his own timeline. I could argue merely stepping in an alternate timeline should change it or fundamentally alter it since you're changing things merely by moving.

Imagine his daughter arriving at the TVA and finding out that an alternate version of her dad doomed her reality to be pruned by taking a baseball glove.
The TVA only seems to intervene when a timeline is off from the original timeline by a noticeable degree so I doubt that alone could cause a pruning.

And ya takes a while, like female Loki was born and didn't get taken until she was a kid not right when she was born.
I think that universe could get pruned like when Loki stole the tesseract. The reason why the avengers were allowed to time travel in the sacred timeline was because their time travel technology was how He who remains(Kang) learns about time travel and invents multverse travel and eventually defeat all the other Kangs.

@@thefool5259 What we're actually shown about their work does not line up with that at all. Maybe that was exaggeration for the sake of intimidation or something like that.
I was feeling like I was growing out of superheroes kind of when this came out (not something I ever expected to happen) but I have to say that Clint kept these movies kind of grounded for me. I think he's an understated MVP. He's not flashy but he might be the most talented actor. He has no powers but he might lowkey be the coolest. He keeps things human when you've been watching super soldiers, robots, and gods so much you're starting not to care.
Of course it worked. Its not Hammertech.

It just occurred to me that Clint left their house abandoned for 5 years. It must've been a mess when they got back.
Watching this scene got me really sad . I know it’s just a movie but I have some loved ones that passed not long ago. Just getting to see / look at them one more time would make me happy

This is like a nightmare you have when you hear a loved one you lost talking at a distance to someone, but before you can get to them either they or you disappear.
Kudos to the costume designers who made that outfit. It had to be really uncomfortable to get it on and wear it. But damn does it look cool. Even the boots don’t seem to crinkle up. Really cool design, including the logo.

I personally prefer the analogy of time being a river we all travel along. Some people are in the middle, not really noticing the flow, just being carried along. Others in the river, but close to the banks get caught in the eddies and swirls along the bank.
Some are even able to leave the river, step onto dry land.
And then, some are like beavers, building dikes, shoring up banks, and changing the course of the river, leaving old river beds more serene, others wildly rushing, some splitting into multiple arms of the same river, only to converge again downstream.
Yet the actual water in the river can be clean, dirty, silty, brownish, green, clear, smooth, rapidd, roiling...
And by dropping bolders in the river we can alter both the swirl of the river, and with enough effort, even the course.
When we however send the river not into an ocean, where it becomes clouds again, but into a desert where it sinks away and dries up, we create life or cause destruction, depending how much water runs through it.
For those wilding about the baseball glove, now you know why your socks are missing a pair.
Okay, but real question, does this scene mean that at the end of the movie, in addition to returning the 6 infinity stones and Mjolnir, that Steve also returned the baseball glove that Clint brought back here?

Im pretty sure they pruned that timeline soon after loki landed in the desert. But since they were the old TVA one of the rules they have is if the event is supposed to happen they cannot interfere. I believe it was Mobius who mentioned that or that lady who did the ruling forgot her name.

I think Clint was a bit lucky that taking the glove and calling his daughter did not trigger trastic changes in history of this timeline

The device was preset to return him to the platform five minutes after it sent him to the past. If he *could* have stopped it, he probably would have.

According to the TVA, the events of Endgame are part of their Sacred Timeline. They expressly told Loki that. It was okay for them to do all that because it didn't produce variant divergences (which, in the background the TVA wasn't let in on, meant it didn't lead to a divergent version of Nathaneile Richards/Victor Timely/Rama-Tut/Scarlet Centurion/Kang/Immortus/He-Who-Remains).
I don't remember ever watching this scene or even knowing it existed. Is this a deleted scene or something or was it always there?

Regarding how Steve Rogers/Captain America returned the six Infinity Stones at the conclusion of the _Endgame_ film, there’s an online FanFiction story entitled “The Infinity Stones Return: Captain America’s Final Adventure.” This story is written in the form of a heavily detailed plot-summary for an eight-episode mini-series.
The first episode takes place before Captain America (hereafter called “Cap” for short) begins his journey, and shows Professor Hulk rebuilding the time machine and Scott Lang/Antman volunteering for the initial test run. This involves a return-trip to Clint Barton’s pre-snap home to put back the baseball glove that was taken during the original test-run. Afterward, Doctor Strange explains why the stones have been placed in the briefcase and reveals that the Tesseract, Orb, and Sceptre have been shrunken down to fit in Cap’s pockets and will be re-enlarged after he arrives in the past to re-contain their respective stones at the proper time.
In the second episode, Cap visits the Ancient One in 2012 prior to the arrival of his earlier self in New York. There, she uses the combined power of the six stones in the briefcase to cast future-dated spells that will make the 2012-2014 timelines reset themselves once the heisted stones have been returned to their proper places. Afterwards, she transports to the roof of the New York sanctum where she gives Hulk the original version of the Time Stone after first putting on a performance-act of initial resistance and surprise to ensure he understands the importance of returning the stones afterward. She then reclaims the returned version from Cap’s briefcase.
In the third episode, the Ancient One continues to assist Cap by helping him recapture Loki and returning him into SHIELD custody along with the stolen 2012-Tesseract - after future-Tony and Scott have fled the scene of course. Afterwards, the re-enlarged Sceptre re-containing the Mind Stone is given back to the Hydra goons, thus triggering the first timeline-reboot spell which erases everyone’s memory of the wayward events. However, the final scene then reveals that since Loki misused the Space Stone’s power in the wayward timeline, a branch-timeline was nevertheless still created, thus requiring the TVA to intervene.
In the fourth episode, Cap shoots forward to 2013 where he re-teams with the Ancient One for the journey to Asgard. There, they work together to neutralize Heimdall before putting the Reality Stone/Aether back into Jane Foster’s body and returning the enchanted hammer to a comically confused Thor. Afterward, the timeline is then likewise reset to erase everyone’s memories.
The fifth episode has Cap shooting forward again to 2014 where he and the Ancient One return the re-enlarged Orb containing the Power Stone back to the temple on Morag after first making a brief but necessary side-trip to delay Korath’s arrival and prevent his interference. The sixth episode then has Cap being sent to Vormir where, in order to return the Soul Stone, he must first contend with a temporarily freed Red Skull and a temporarily resurrected Natasha Romanoff.
The start of the seventh episode then reveals that, with the two stones from 2014 returned, the timeline has also now been reset so that everyone’s memories have been erased and that exact duplicate/replacement versions of Thanos, Gamora, and Nebula have been created to take the place of their original counterparts who jumped forward to 2023.
Before travelling back to 1970 and then further back to 1946 though, Cap first reveals to the Ancient One that Doctor Strange had previously placed a charmed spell over Cap’s aura so that no one in the past would be able to recognize who he really is unless he wants them to. Hence, Peggy would be able to see Cap in his true form when he returns to her whereas everyone else would see him as somebody different. This would then enable him to easily change his name and assume the identity of a former G.I. whose unit was rescued by Captain America during the war as per the reference in the _Winter Soldier_ film. This also then explains why the younger Cap didn't recognize his older self at Peggy's funeral during the _Civil War_ movie.
In the last part of this seventh episode, Cap returns to 1970 and puts the re-enlarged Tesseract containing the Space Stone back in the vault, then proceeds up to Hank Pym’s lab to put back the four replenished vials of Pym Particles. Upon arriving in the lab however, he is unexpectedly intercepted by the TVA. The final episode then has Cap being recruited by the TVA to fight the Red Guardian in 1984 before being allowed to return to 1946 and live happily ever after.

I agree with the comment above. Plus, the main site says this happened like RIGHT before the Blip, and since the Barton family is kept off even the SHIELD files, no one else occupied the house during the five years, which is why we see them in the same house when they’re blipped back. So to the kids, they were just missing the glove for a few days at best. And after being blipped back, it would be the least of their worries.

No, because they’re changing the present, not the past. The past is in the past and should stay in the past, the present arrived and could change the present to make for a future that hadn’t been determined yet.
In other words, time travel is fucking stupid and I wish we’d stop talking about it.
1. That's not how time travel works. If they go back in time and decapitate Thanos at that moment, then 'present time' team would have no reason to be going back in time. So, they would be unable to travel back into the past, to stop a thing that didn't happen. It creates a breakpoint in the loop.
2. Even if it didn't, Tony was adamant that the past 5 yrs not be changed... he wouldn't want to lose Morgan to a time reset.
@@thorn- That’s not how time travel works in the MCU. They didn’t go back in time; they jumped to an alternate timeline. They can travel to different timelines and do whatever they want (ignoring the TVA) without creating a loop.
Killing Thanos after jumping to another timeline doesn’t change their original timeline. They needed to retrieve the stones to execute the snap. Thanos had all six stones during the battle in Wakanda, so confronting him directly wasn’t a wise decision. Thor had an opportunity to strike because Thanos was slightly stunned after collecting all six stones.
How come MCU Thanos doesn't use the Infinity Stones to create and provide enough resources for everybody in the universe?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
