Thank you so much for your comment. It really means a lot. Nikki has been putting a lot of work into it, and sometimes she doesn't see how much she's really improved. Thank you for noticing and for being a fan of the page.

Thanks for this video. My instructor said when I do posing trot, I did not fully go up before go down. How to ensure fully going up?

Thank you for your question, it takes time to develop your seat. It takes time to become comfortable with the trot, and then every horse feels different so you have to adjust accordingly.
It's muscle memory, timing and balance.
It takes time. Find your balance point, then you lift slightly out of the seat to maintain the motion. It's usually awkward at first, but it will improve with practice.
Here's more trotting exercises to help.

when I do the posing trot, sometime the horse directly slowed down after several steps, without my instruction to slow down; some time the horse trot faster, I can not follow her speed, so I asked the horse to stop. How I can control the horse in a steady speed and continute the posing trot? thank you

Thank you so much for your question.
It is a very good question,
Unfortunately, it doesn't have a good answer because every horse is different.
You have to determine if your horse is a leg on or off horse and learn to control your seat to control the horse's speed. You can slow down and speed up the horse as you learn to control your seat, and that takes a lot of work.
It is much easier to learn how to ride on a horse. That is very consistent, but if you have an inconsistent horse, you have to be the consistency, so you have to learn how to get there.
      This video explains it.

Easiest way is posting trot fast, sitting trot slower.
Here's a Playlist of trotting exercises to get there.

As a non-equestrian how do you tell the horse to start trotting

      Thank you for your question.
A walk is a four beaded gate, and a trot is a two beat gate.
The trot will have a very bouncy motion.
It feels different on different horses.
Some horses are slower and not as bouncy as others.
