Prayer to Let Go and Move On.
My dear Heavenly Father, I am before your holy presence, with a heart burdened by past events, and memories that have been difficult to release. I realize that holding onto these things, is preventing me from moving forward. So, I seek Your divine assistance to let go and move on.
Your sacred Word in 2 Corinthians 5:17, provides comfort and guidance, announcing; "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new”. My beloved Lord, I trust that in Christ, I am a new creation. The old has gone, and the new has come. Please Help me embrace this new beginning, with faith and hope. Let me leave my past in Your mighty hands, focusing on the new life You have set before me, knowing that You are making all things new.
Another verse that speaks to my heart, is Philippians 3:13 which declares; "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward to those things which are ahead". Thus, my Lord of hope, please guide me to follow, your Apostle Paul’s example, forgetting what lies behind, and reaching forward to what lies ahead. Instill in me a burning desire to pursue the future, You have wisely planned for me. Let my gaze be fixed forward, not backward, trusting that You are leading me on the right path.
Almighty Father, I surrender to You all the hurts, failures, and regrets, that have weighed heavily on my soul. I release them into Your loving care, believing that You will heal and restore me. Please grant me the strength to forgive those, who have wronged me, and to forgive myself for the mistakes I have made. Fill the void left, by letting go with Your grace and peace, calming the turmoil within me, in my Lord Jesus name.
My sweet Lord, I pray for courage to face the unknown, and step out in faith. I believe You have great plans for me, plans to prosper and not harm, to give me a future and a hope. Help me trust, have faith in Your promises, and believe in Your goodness. When fear and doubt arise, remind me of Your faithfulness, and everlasting love.
Thank You Eternal Father, for Your patience with me. Thank You for never giving up on me, even when I struggled to move forward. I am grateful for Your constant holy presence, and the assurance that You are always with me, guiding and supporting me. As I take each step towards letting go, and moving on, I do so with confidence, knowing that You are my strength and refuge. I pray in the precious, and mighty name of my Lord God and Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, amen.
