i'm just glad that sunghoon didn't give up his profession as a figure skater despite being a trainee and soon to debut(i hope so). he even loved people to call him ice boy..which means he still loves skating. it must be hard for him to balance his schedule as both idol trainee and an athlete. let's give him more love and support that he deserves. the best boy!

I think the reason why Sunghoon is still competing in figure skating even thou he's a trainee in bighit is because he's parents doesn't fully agree him being an idol. I can see the difference when he's perfroming here, I feel like he's unsatisfied unlike when he's performing on stage seems like he enjoyed it so much and he seems happier than performing with figure skate. That's why he said on current episode on iland that he wanted to prove to his parents that the path the he choose is the right one. I'm rooting for this guy. Fighthing Park Sunghoon!

He is so awesome tho, i remember bighit press that said their traine train for like 6 days/week (including all vocal, dance, mental and language), its really like full time job for me. So imagine how hard for sunghoon to do training and skating at the same time for 2 years.
yes i agree ! his parents are the one who's more into doing skating bcs in of the interviews he had on i-land, he said "i want to show my parents that i went on the right path" and the statement clearly means that his parent kind of opposed bcs he said "i want to show" so i guess he dreamed more of becoming an idol rather than becoming a figure skater and lowkey doing it bcs he started it really early so i guess his parents are expecting him to pursue that career bcs he started at a young age. There is also a documentary of sunghoon when he was young, and during that time he kept on falling and not doing the jumps perfectly, his mom would get angry and he said that "my mom is not satisfied" sl maybe that's why he barely smiles while he's on ice.

To everyone who is saying that he seems not happy. He is training and focusing on the technical part. Figure skating requires a lot of concentration. It's normal that figure skaters don't smile brightly during training. Everyone who knows sth about figure skating knows this. I am sure he still loves figure skating and just prefers being an idol. Besides both have a lot in common. The artistic and music part for eg.
I’m a figure skater and I agree, during training you don’t tend to show the expressions you will in the actual competition (saving your energy for the judging performance) but I can see how happy he is on stage as an idol compared to skating. I give him so much respect! 💖
every practice always like this. i tend to be more focus whe i practice for a cabaret show 😆. but when my part is done i always started to joking around again 😆

please stop writing your own novel about sunghoon's personal life it's not cute, touching, or compassionate in anyway; instead it's annoying, intrusive, and rude. he's most likely not smiling bc he's practicing, tired, and there's no real reason why he would be smiling. when sunghoon practiced the dances for the evaluations in the practice room, he didn't smile much either unless he was talking to the other contestants. why? because he was practicing and practice requires concentration/focus and energy; that does not mean he hates figure skating. also just because sunghoon said his mom got him into figure skating doesn't mean she forced him to do any of this, and that he doesn't enjoy it. stop trying to make his life into some movie or something lol. sunghoon takes pride in figure skating and even boasts of his awards and achievements; he even goes as far to call the rink "an old friend". when he started skating after it having been a long time, he looked so happy, overjoyed, and free from the stress i-land burdened him with. the ice is like his second home, but now, as anyone can see, he also wants the stage to be another home for him. he could've still been skating because his parents wanted him to have a backup plan, he himself was unsure of his future, or maybe even that he wanted to skate as much as he could before he couldn't. it could be any reason which, btw, is none of our business unless he wants to tell us why, so stop making speculations it isn't cool.

My heart sank when rain chose him.. I cannot imagine the final line up without him and heesung... I heard and read a lot of comments about him saying that he doesn't stand out and he recieves more attention that he deserves... I think that if he can impress producers without showing his best or doing anything to stand out, it is more of a reason for why he should debut.. I know everyone is working hard and everyone is desperate but just imagine, he gave up figure skating ( ok practically he didn't but he became a trainee which divided his time that means less practice and 2 years of practice means a lot) something he has been doing almost all his life to become an idol... every wrong step or every wrong note must be terrifying for him, making him question his decision again and again for past 2-3 years... it is so difficult but he still smiles through it... he must be feeling a great pressure... I just wish that he can get what he wants because he deserves it...

It's sad that K and most of the others couldn't witness it, but... How does it feel to know that this has happened many times already since Enhypen's debut? 🌟
This was a whole year or two after Sunghoon began his idol training. And you can definitely see the difference between this competition and his older ones. I'm not talking about the fall, though. I'm talking about his rhythm. Sunghoon seems more aware of the rhythm and pace of the song he's performing than he used to be. He's also more fluid, and his moves blend together better(?) than before. Sunghoon is truly is a sight to behold when he's on the ice 🩵🌟

I'm soo proud of Sung Hoon! He is one of the strongest, most talented, hardworking, and kindest guys I have ever seen in my life! His versatility to excell on anything he proposes to himself is just admirable! His willingness to continue trying and never giving up truly inspires me to work hard and keep trying. I'm sure that he has overcome many challenges and there may be many difficulties he must have gone through to find his purpose but despite from the career or dream he desires to pursue I will always continue to support him! I can't wait to see him excell at everything he desires to accomplish. He is a star and he will always shine no matter what type of stage he is placed upon! I used to see olympic skater with higher speed of moves. Watching his program with lower speed, I feel it awkward in the beginning last year. Then I dived into the song and tried to feel the emotion of this song. I finnaly see the beauty of this program. The lower speed in this program really matched to the song. I even got ghoosebump when I watched him performing this program in competition in other video. He is my second favorite skater now, Yuzuru is the first.
Coming back here makes me emotional..he literally sacrificed his 10 years of skating for him to be an idol,he went to a survival show (I-LAND) to prove not only to his parents but also to everyone that he didn’t chose the wrong path,now HE DEBUTED with ENHYPEN last November 30,2020 with the title track GIVEN-TAKEN,my boy Sunghoon really proved his worth and passion,WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!🥺❤️

Nobody perfect. Even you are a proffesional, there's always something that can make you fall too. Such like sunghoon, there are many factors that can make him fal, but even he fell dawn he always woke up and thats really touch my heart. I can understand he is so hard working, he need support from us, i really want to see him become idol an smiling everytime without fall anymore, i may will miss him in figure skating but i will really lost if he not debut 😭
