This arrangement has been present on microscopes for perhaps a century or two. It does look very expensive.

A request: would it be possible, please, to make a video showing how the turret installs into the rear of the SCT? Does it go straight into the rear cell or into the daigonal, etc? Nice review Mark. I looked at them in the tent at the WSP, and it did seem very well made, but given the size and weight it’s for a fairly beefy setup. I used a turret at Stellafane last year and I found I had a hard time using it at the zenith due to the turret itself hitting my pier on a long refractor.

Yeah the turret does weight a bit, Terri so defo works better on a bigger set up. Hope spring is springing with you!

You are right, it would be a problem particularly while breathing alongside the unused eps. We didn't have any problem in the obsy but did keep the dust caps on just in case.
