I think he’s using Indian and British accent just to, like, make it clear that at that moment he’s speaking as Indian or as Britain without telling it every single times. It’s kinda heartbreaking how some people thought he’s making fun of their accent and stuff because he’s actually one of the kindest standup comedian, he even says “You should travel the world to see how small you are, learn their culture, their accent. It’s not that hard, it’s just another accent. But first, you have to understand that accents doesn’t define that that person’s stupid or smart, in fact, they’re just speaking your language in the rules of theirs.” (It’s not 100% accurate but it’s still based on what he says. I’m just shortening some words up. And he says ppl should study other accent because he’s talking about how one word can be written and/or spoken in a very different way based on the rules of that person’s mother language, so, learning how to speak in their accent helps communicating becomes more accurate and also way easier than to learn a whole new language but both are still communicable.)

Alot of people leave their own countries for South Africa as well. I have friends that live in Canada and UK coz of work but still say they would rather be in SA. Western countries also have their own fair share of problems, Spain just like SA battles a high unemployment rate, Australia and New Zealand struggle with racial and religious intolerance, America struggles with gun violence where children just get shot during an ordinary day of school, not to mention the violence against black people by their law enforcement... The list is endless. There is no country that's perfect. The grass is not always greener on the other side. Every country has its own problems.

Africa and had some comedy specials but eventually made it onto The Daily Show with Jon Stewart which is a huge comedy news show in the USA. When Jon Stewart retired, Trevor took over and he's doing an amazing job. It was hard to imagine how the Daily Show would be without Jon Stewart and if it could still work.. Kinda like how you wondered if The Office could really be good without Steve Carrell... And yet, he was not in some of the last episodes and it was still a great show! Trevor wrote an autobiography called Born a Crime (referencing growing up biracial under Apartheid in S Africa) and Madhuri Dixit read it! I think he was trying to emulate a very specific British accent, maybe one that is a little stereotypical or associated with the crown/royalty so you definitely do not sound like that. lol HEER YEEEE HEER YEEEEE. He's great, I hope you react to more of his content in the future. Not all of his content is about Indians or India but he's really funny. I saw him on tour!

South Africa has a rich Indian population and embraces lots of the culture. Durban and the greater Kwazulu Natal is where you find the majority of Indian population. In his other stand he even says that if India was the factory then Durban is the factory shop for Indians. Oh and he makes fun of all races in his stand-up. His own race which is COLOURED here in S.A. is never excluded
The fun fact is he indirectly mentioned that indians are really innocent people unless provoked in a wrong way... That is true.. india minds its own business and has never invaded any country and has accepted all foreign invasion on the other hand... He’s South African and they were also colonised by the British so im guessing that’s how he can relate to Indians and I think that’s how the South Africans got a similar accent to the Brits
Trevor Noah is South African. We have the largest Indian population outside of India. He knows Indians. I will say that, as much as Indians have influenced the culture, South African culture is so unique that it has made the Indians here a little different from Indians anywhere else in the world. Well from what I've noticed anyway. And most importantly, we love our indian heritage..... always Proudly South African 🇿🇦
