    What a video!! Up until the pre wash I thought the orange lucozade I was drinking packed with hallusinagenics 😂😂. The tips and tricks you shared are great. I've tried the glass cleaner in piano black which I'm sure you mentioned in another video and its now my go to method. 👍👍. In terms of tyre dressing, I like a mid sheen on anything I do really, just makes the tyre look new but not over the top. However I know some people like a nice shiny tyre. My wife's black car with big tyres look best with a high gloss also 👍👍👍

      Thanks again Sean!, glad the tips were helpful 😁
      I agree a black car really needs the tyres to be slick and blingy, otherwise they just look sh*t!

    Some really satisfying footage, you’re attention to detail on interiors especially is impressive. As for tyre dressing I agree that glossy with black wheels is best 👍🏼

    Car looked fantastic. I prefer shiny tyre dressings but I must admit there are occasions when it just depends on what I get my hands on on the day..!!👍🏻

    My Disco Sport has the same leather seats in cream and I spilled a bag of pin head oats onto it. Nightmare. I had to take a cocktail stick to free up the holes. I use Angelwax leather cleaner and Angelwax Hide Rate Humectant Leather Conditioner to good effect.

      Aw naw!!!, complete nightmare!!!, yeah the Angelwax stuff is good, no complaints I just found the instructions confusing 😂

    Great content. Did you see Ivan Lacroix recently on Pan? He talked about pressure washing without lubrication pushing grit into the paint. What do you think?

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  3 роки тому +3

      Thanks Robert! 🙏 I’d imagine he has his own theories on that and I’d like to see his evidence on the matter , Americans have a whole different approach to detailing like snowfoaming a car and straight in with a wash mitt, very damaging on paint in my head.
      Ivan is the face of Optimum , obv he has to make his company products look like they’re above all else on the market.
      My theory on dirt on paint is it’s in layers , you have the layer of traffic film which is oil based and needs traffic film removers or degreasers to remove. Won’t come off with a quick rinse , but on top of that you have dust, sand and other debris , now, my thoughts are that the traffic film (which they don’t really get in America due to the drier climate) is then actually helping to protect the paint from serious damage caused by particles of grit being washed away by water and AIR!, because with the water pressure there’s a hell of an air pressure goes with it!
      I could be wrong but before I want to wash the car at all!, I want it chemically clean before I even touch it with a mitt, but there’s still no harm in a low pressure soaking with an APC or TFR on the top before a rinse if it gives any better piece of mind 🤔
      Certainly food for thought !!

    Fantastic video Graeme, very well produced, music was great throughout and, as always, a clear and precise description of the products and processes used - not just what, but why!
    As for the tyres, I think it's wheel dependent... For me a gloss black wheel should be finished with more of a satin dressing, it's clean and it separates the tyre from the wheel. But it's all subjective.
    Great video mate 👍🏼👍🏼😉
