Little bit of info from the UK :) - August tends to be the worst of the summer months for thunderstorms. I'd say to check the weather forecast on the day to decide what to carry but it's notoriously unreliable. You could always have a compact single-use thing like a bin liner or buy a packable coat/poncho that gets donated when you leave the UK. Oh and you may end up with very attractive plastic bags tied over your shoes if the festival is in a field.
Fabulous that you're visiting us in the U.K. My top tip is that it can be extremely rainy at any time of year and when it is the wet and damp can make you feel chilled. So, maybe finding a good waterproof might be an idea to prevent getting overly wet in the first place (you can get ones that pack up extremely small - we call them "kagouls" - not sure what you call them in the U.S.).If you do get chilled then a hot water bottle, a hot bath and hot tea are all great remedies! 😊
These are such great tips! I've wished I had my hot water bottle on a few occasions here! So far no real rain, so I've been dry, which is a nice treat. I love the idea of a kagoul though. Fun name too! Thanks for these ideas!
Keep an eye out for a mini hot water bottle, I take mine whenever I travel, it's about 1/3 of the size of a regular one, but it really keeps the UK chill off!! Wish I was going to the Fruit Festival!
Thank you so much for coming to the UK, despite the cold weather. It was great to meet you and Conor at the UK Fruit Fest. I love travelling with just hand luggage, makes me feel so much freer, especially when coming off the plane and going through the airport, my travel time can start right away rather than having to wait for baggage ;) Thanks, Alice (blonde, medusa/philtrum piercing - came to say hello after your talk).
If you're coming to Scotland, our weather is warm but we're experiencing a lot of flash showers right now. Thank you for this video; videos like this help me to be more mindful when I'm packing which has increased my comfort during travel. Who'd have thought that packing well below the the baggage weight limit would make travelling more pleasant (and not stressful since I find I never really miss items that I remove!). I much prefer being mobile and well packed!
Ooh, I wish I were going to be visiting Scotland! Next year, I hope! I love this reflection and totally agree with you about preferring to be mobile and well packed! It is so pleasant to travel well below the baggage weight limit. Rock on! I'm so glad you enjoyed this vid
I use the EXACT same pouch for my electronics cables and such, ha! I love it. It's way better than the flat kinda pouches you can typically find everywhere. This is one of the more sensible and REALISTIC packing scenarios I've seen lately! Thanks for sharing this.
I'm traveling in Hawaii for 2 weeks in my synapse 19 right now :) I got it earlier this year, inspired by you, and I use it every day! School, work, travel.... I love packing it! I fit in a huge dslr camera this time around, along with my essentials.
This is so cool to hear! I love that you have the Synapse 19 and are loving it too. Hawaii sounds awesome! So badass that you have your DSLR cam and essentials with you in it too!
This is impressive downsizing! I'm in scouting and I always use my hiking backpack for camps. I live in Belgium so our weather can be quite cold or unreliable, even in summer. This summer I will be travelling for 3 weeks to the World Scout Jamboree in West-Virginia and it gives me the oppurtinity to downsize because it's a lot warmer than what I'm used to... I'm going to try to get my bag as light as possible!
And a fruit tip: try Pink Lady apples while in the UK if you've never had them. Royal Gala ones can be tasteless and Granny Smiths can be sour, but Pink Ladys are perfect. If there aren't any at the festival (and just talking about food shopping in general) if you want to avoid plastic packaging but a supermarket is your only option, go for the biggest-sized building. Little versions of national chains have a small or non-existant loose fruit and veg section. Obv. a market or greengrocer will be best. A market will be a uniquely British experience!
Ooh, thank you so much for this tip! I will definitely try a pink lady while I'm here! I've had one, but in the US. I'd love the taste comparison. I'm excited to check out a market and have a uniquely British experience! So far I've been able to score some awesome melons and citrus, all plastic free. Sending tons of love your way! xoxo
Hey Brittany! Like others I'm 100% going to recommend you bring either a waterproof jacket or an umbrella to the UK. You can get some pretty small pack away jackets which are waterproof and will also help to keep the wind off :) Also in terms of UK weather, at this very moment we're getting weather around 55-66 degrees and it's not getting much warmer or colder than that. It's fairly bright even though it's not super warm but we're having frequent rain. Hope that helps!!
Can we see an update video on how your cycle tracking is going? Could you also include tips for taking accurate BBT while traveling and any other BC methods you may use when you're unable to get an accurate read?
If you have time whilst you're still in the UK, go visit Stonehenge, it's not so far from where you've been for the fruit festival and Salisbury has good train links back to London afterwards! Or pop over the border and visit Wales, it's so beautiful! Bristol is a great city near you too, I could see you both enjoying it a lot! There are acro-jam meetups there too
UK is chilly and *rainy*, My husband's from the UK originally, we visit his parents every other year and we freeze every time lol. UK Summers are like California Winters (I know your in Texas, but I don't know Texas weather lol). If you need to pick up a sweatshirt or some other warmer clothes, you can probably find a charity shop (they're the UK equivalent of a Salvation Army or Goodwill).
hahha, such a great comparison. Now that I'm experiencing it, I'd say you totally have it right- UK summers = Cali winters. Burrrrrr! No real rain during our trip so far though, so that's a nice treat! I've been keeping warm with my layers, plus I borrowed an extra sweatshirt at the fruit festival from a friend there. Thanks for the heads up! Sending you tons of love!
Brittany Taylor if you ever need to visit a colder climate again, an awesome investment would be a packable down jacket! Uniqlo makes a great one which folds down to about the size of your hand, although it isn't vegan so I'm sure there's a synthetic down alternative :)
Love these minimalism and packing videos, I managed to pack 5 days worth in a mini rucksack, possibly 10 litre or smaller and that was my whole wardrobe excluding work clothes. Just a heads up, it's been raining a fair bit here in Britain but you'll still have a great time 😃
Wow, 5 days in 10L or less is awesome! Thank you so much for watching. I'm so glad you enjoy these vids. They are really fun to share :). Yes! A bit damp for sure, but I still have not gotten rained on for real, thankfully. It's been so fun to see some of your beautiful country!
UK and Europe have 4 seasons - would definitely suggest a good quality gortex jacket and waterproof walking shoes. Maybe spray your trainers and clothes with water repellant spray. Still summer here in Switzerland but temperatures soon start to drop for our lovely cold winters. Am a winter baby whereas you are a tropical summer one. All the best for UK.
I LOVE videos about your Ton Bihn 19L bag, and "what's in my pack!" I have had a 19L Synapse for a couple of years, got it mostly on your recommendation and I love it. I have NOT, however, traveled for any length of time with it as my only bag. I usually am flying with my violin, so the fiddle and the little Synapse are perfect for carry-on on domestic airlines, at least. However, I have thought the 19L was too small for everything. So...this summer I bought a 25L Synapse. After a week of anguishing over it, I sent it back. It. Was. Too. Big. It seemed cavernous, but "heavy" to me, psychically and physically. I think it would be a bear to carry if I filled it up. So now, the challenge is to really optimize what I can to with the 19L Synapse. God I love this bag. And I love vids about it better than vids about sex, lolol
hahah, omg. This is a phenomenal comment on so many levels. Wow. I love you. Thank you so much for this. I love this share about your experience with the 19L and also your feelings around the 25L. I totally agree! I tried out my friend's 25L before buying my 19 a few years ago and it felt too big for me, to heavy in these same ways. I'm excited for you to play around with optimizing your space in the 19L. Ooh and I also love that you travel with your violin. The violin is my favoriteeee. I love hearing live fiddle music! I played growing up and loved it, and now I take any opportunity I can to listen to others play live! I fricken love this bag too. And I can totally understand loving vids about it more than vids about sex ;). xoxoxo
uhh...and you maybe need to play the fiddle...I leave for fiddle camp in Quebec next week ;>) You will know I have graduated when I can say, "and I everything I took fit in the 19L." I just don't have the guts yet to try...
B- with your love for Bihn, how do you plan how things get into the bag. I think for me on long runs, especially if there is a bus or plane involved, I am constantly thinking about how I am going to get to often used things. Specifically my hoodie, and spork (that is just spork pandering). But, last year I tended to live out of my GoRuck GR1, and then a duffel. I had wanted to do the 1 bag thing, but with long runs and varied weather, and a lot of gear, it seemed insane to fight it. I was doing a video project for about 18 months, and had my video gear bag, the light and tripod bag and my GoRuck and duffel. That is a lot, but what was nice was I was in my Subaru most of the time off. I was also lucky enough to have supporter housing often times. But, that was a lot of rambling. How do you prioritize what goes where?
Bonjour Brittany. 7:55 Couldn't hear "my ??? period panties". Was about to wish you a nice stay in the UK but I figured with the dates at the end of your video that it was already done. I hope you will do a video on this "new" festival for you. I guess you're aware that Brittany is a France region which is Bretagne in french. And guess what ? That's where I am heading next w.e. for a week. So I'm going to meet Brittany ;).
haha, yay! I love that you are going to meet Brittany! Yes, I did know that and I love that I share my name with the French region. I'm excited to share more about how I enjoyed the UK fruit fest. I hope you enjoy your travels! oxox
What a great packing video! Love how light you are keeping it! I think what you packed should suffice for UK weather, if anything you may need to pick up a rain coat. There are lots of charity shops in the UK and they tend to be super cheap! 😊
Love the video love the way you pack you do better than mei am still down sizing love watching your videos and keep them coming you are so beautiful and a sweet person 💘 you
Love seeing such thought and purpose behind each item! Have you tried the xero running shoes? I'm on the fence between Merrell and Xero and noticed you're rocking Merrell for the time ⌚
Heyyyy girl. I'm so glad you enjoy that element of it. It's so nice to share. I have tried the xero running shoes. Merrell's are still my favorite- I really prefer for them to feel as minimalist as possible. In Merrells I feel like a ninja! So far the xero shoes feel like they have a bit more bulk to them than I prefer.
Great video! Wow, I can't believe all that fit into that 19L bag. I have a 30L Osprey I'm about to pack for a 1-2 month trip to Amsterdam & Budapest. What video editing software you using on your Macboook Air?
I was hoping you say that because I was thinking of getting rid of my Heavy Macbook pro for the lighter AIR. I hate the price tag, I could buy a few plane tickets instead.
You might want to check the "refurbished" section of the online AppleStore if you're looking to save some money. They're just as good as what gets sold in the normal store. Possibly better, because they get checked out individually while the "normal" computers just go through standardized mass testing.
Yes! I so recommend the AIR! If i were going to do it again, I'd upgrade the storage space a bit, but as it is, I really enjoy how I have to keep it simple and organized. I still have enough space to edit a few vids before having to clear them out too. I'm excited for you!
Thank you so much! I'm so honored. Yes, I love this outfit! It's chilly to wear in the UK, but for RI and NYC it's perfect! In the UK I put leggings on under it and shoes ;)
+Brittany Taylor, I was wondering where you got your packing cube from? I recently got back from a trip to Columbus, Ohio and realized that I need to get one. However, I have been having trouble finding one here in Atlanta, Georgia. Let me know your thoughts when you have a moment.
Hi Brittany, I've recently discovered your chanel and I'm amazed by it. And by you! ;) I'm into polyamory/relationchip anarchy and minimalism and want to start focusing on my food more. I thought about coming to the next Winter Fruit Fest in Thailand, but I'm hesitant to travel that far and espacially to use the airplane (money, air pollution...). So my question is: do you know any similar events or something that might be interesting and are coming up in the next month that take place somewhere in Europe? I'm living in germany and it would be so great to have some great events somewhere close! ;) Thanks for sharing so much about you and your life here on youtube! It's so nice to find people thinking similar to me! :)
What is the difference between toothpaste & tooth powder? I've been wanting to try tooth powder out since I've seen you mention it in a few of your packing videos, but I don't know what to expect when using it.
Can you share how you wash your clothes while travel? That is the hardest part I think, it seems hard to clean hand wash socks and underwear. Thank you!
I got the s25 bc I have 6 kids as a diaper bag and it's just too big!!! Crazy right?! But I beyond sending it back so I'm hoping to sell/trade for s19. Should have gone with my gut!
Thanks for asking! I'm sure there are lots of other great bag options! I haven't played around with them too much, because my previous bags were larger backpacking ones. I'll definitely share a review if I find one! Meanwhile, I'd suggest something that's well made, with the pockets that the buyer is looking for. Those are the most important elements to me.
Brittany - completely unrelated (although everything is related), I am currently in New Zealand and I wish I could share my abundance of ripe, golden kiwi fruits with you!! They are very different than green kiwi fruits and sweet like candy. I'm in love and thought of you
Please get some warm clothes and a waterproof coat for the UK, you'll freeze! I live in Cornwall and its been really rainy recently, and not terribly warm xD Waterproof shoes are important, but your barefoot running shoes should dry off really quick so you'll probably be fine !

I never tire of great packing videos! Thanks for sharing.
yay! Thank you so much. I'm really glad you enjoyed.
Wow, I can't believe how much fits in your bag and how many pouches it has. Amazing!
Yes! It's such a badass bag!
It so is! It reminds me of Hermione's inward extending hand bag :D

Brittany !!...I swear your bag used to belong to Mary Poppins ! 😄😁
hahahaha
Wow this really puts things into perspective I can't imagine packing so light for that long but it makes me think about it.

I love your videos Brittany! Gorgeous girl inside and out. Safe travels. Thank you for being you and sharing you with all of us! Xo
Wow, thank you so very much!! xoxo
This packing is so badass!!! I'm challenging myself to pack just like that for when I go to Brazil, next month! Thanks for the inspiration :)
Thank you so much for watching!

Thanks! I borrowed a large sweatshirt and hat from a friend!
It still makes me happy seeing you and Connor together 😊
Thank you so much!!
That carpet - looks soooo comfy!
hahaha, it really is!!

Gutted I missed you guys coming to the uk, hope you didn't get too cold! Come to Scotland one day, it's beautiful here!
Sorry we missed you too! Ooh, it really was so chilly though! We hope to visit Scotland one day too! Looks beautiful for sure!!
Bonjour Brittany. 7:55 Couldn't hear "my ??? period panties". Was about to wish you a nice stay in the UK but I figured with the dates at the end of your video that it was already done. Merci Petra E. Pardon me but what this "thinx" does mean ?
What a great packing video! Love how light you are keeping it! I think what you packed should suffice for UK weather, if anything you may need to pick up a rain coat. There are lots of charity shops in the UK and they tend to be super cheap! 😊
Thank you so much! great recommendation too :)
Great inspiraton for when I need to pack for Sardinia, I wish I could be confident enough to just pack a swimsuit and a caftan haha
You say "urines" instead of ‘earrings’. I like that.
hahah, I didn't notice. Thanks so much!!
I support any video that supports the use of a titanium spork.
hahah. here here! xoox
I mean there is all the other awesomeness, but sporks are my thing.
haha. Totally understandable ;)
Love the spork as well! Mine is plastic because that's the only one they sell here, but I do'nt mind using plastic when it's long-use.
insane how much that bag holds. great video dude
Thanks so much! And I totally agree- it blows my mind every time i do a vid on it.
Love the video love the way you pack you do better than mei am still down sizing love watching your videos and keep them coming you are so beautiful and a sweet person 💘 you
That's unbelievable! Good job!
Thank you so much!
Hi Brittany! Brittany is going to Britain! what about the camera? Also, what do you do to the journals once you finish them?
Amazing how much those backpacks and packing cubes hold!
Yes! I agreee!!
Would you mind providing a link for the thermometer you use for charting? I am curious as the option you chose and why! Thanks!
I see that some of your UK viewers have already given you some tips about the weather - so I'll just have my fingers crossed for good weather for you!
Brittany Taylor thanks again for the great advice love! I've been feeling like a ninja myself in my new merrells for the last two weeks!
Great video! Wow, I can't believe all that fit into that 19L bag. I have a 30L Osprey I'm about to pack for a 1-2 month trip to Amsterdam & Budapest. What video editing software you using on your Macboook Air?
Ooh, that sounds like an amazing trip. 30L is awesome! And Amsterdam & Budapest sounds like such a great trip. Thanks for sharing! I use Final Cut
I was hoping you say that because I was thinking of getting rid of my Heavy Macbook pro for the lighter AIR. I hate the price tag, I could buy a few plane tickets instead.

firstly i love your videos!! you are a huge inspiration 😻 do you travel with this outfit?? seems really cold and how much weights your backpack? ✌🏻
Thanks for asking! Amazon! I have links listed for them here! conorandbrittany.com/recommended-products/
How do you use the thermometer? Were you referring to your menstrual cycle?
Yes! Thanks for asking!
I am curious about the salt. Do you use that with your food or is it for something else?
Thanks for asking! I use it for my food!
Great video! Does the double sided pouch for your clothes comes with the bag? if not, where did you get it?
Thanks!
Thanks for asking! Nope, i bought that one on amazon! I list it here: conorandbrittany.com/recommended-products/
Thank you for the detailed answer
Hi Brittany,
I've recently discovered your chanel and I'm amazed by it. And by you! ;)
I'm into polyamory/relationchip anarchy and minimalism and want to start focusing on my food more. I thought about coming to the next Winter Fruit Fest in Thailand, but I'm hesitant to travel that far and espacially to use the airplane (money, air pollution...). So my question is: do you know any similar events or something that might be interesting and are coming up in the next month that take place somewhere in Europe? I'm living in germany and it would be so great to have some great events somewhere close! ;)
Thanks for sharing so much about you and your life here on youtube! It's so nice to find people thinking similar to me! :)
I'm in love with this video 😍❤️
I love you :) xoxo
What do you do when you finish your journals?
Thanks for asking! I sometimes scan a few pages, look over and appreciate them, and then burn them.
What is the difference between toothpaste & tooth powder? I've been wanting to try tooth powder out since I've seen you mention it in a few of your packing videos, but I don't know what to expect when using it.
Thanks for asking! It's similar to baking powder. Used the same way as toothpaste- just sprinke a bit on, get it damp, and brush!
Can you share how you wash your clothes while travel? That is the hardest part I think, it seems hard to clean hand wash socks and underwear. Thank you!
Yes! I talk about it here- ua-cam.com/video/tAjBYJZEQ84/v-deo.html
Please make a video about your.. Sphinx period panties was it? I'm intrigued haha. Thanks for the video Brittany 🌻💕👍
Petra E my bad 🌻
I got the s25 bc I have 6 kids as a diaper bag and it's just too big!!! Crazy right?! But I beyond sending it back so I'm hoping to sell/trade for s19. Should have gone with my gut!

What color is your bag?
Black with white horizontal and vertical stripes :)
Brittney, pack a raincoat. It's been raining here pretty much non stop for the last 10 days :(
Love these.
Yay! I'm so glad :)
Yay!!! You rock'em in the UK and give my UK friends a big kiss for me!!!! ;b
Thanks love!!
Any cheaper options than Tom Binh?
Thanks for asking! I'm sure there are lots of other great bag options! I haven't played around with them too much, because my previous bags were larger backpacking ones. I'll definitely share a review if I find one! Meanwhile, I'd suggest something that's well made, with the pockets that the buyer is looking for. Those are the most important elements to me.
What kind of tripod do you use?
I got it from target a while ago I think...
Brittany - completely unrelated (although everything is related), I am currently in New Zealand and I wish I could share my abundance of ripe, golden kiwi fruits with you!! They are very different than green kiwi fruits and sweet like candy. I'm in love and thought of you
Awww, omg that sounds amazingggggg! I love that you thought of me. I'm so honored. xoxo
You inspire me ✨💕😽
You are fricken lovely. I'm so grateful that you are a part of my life.

pretty cool i been seeing youtube channels with same name as me but it spell Britney, was this end up being enough for you?
Oh so cool! Hi Britney :). Yes, this is plenty for me!
Please get some warm clothes and a waterproof coat for the UK, you'll freeze! I live in Cornwall and its been really rainy recently, and not terribly warm xD Waterproof shoes are important, but your barefoot running shoes should dry off really quick so you'll probably be fine !
thanks for the tips! i was very cold! But set for clothes- I borrowed a large sweatshirt and a hat from a friend!!
ups you said the weight sry😬😘
xoxo
