➡️ Margot Cotten is the only french girl who can actually play americana without blushing. Playing drums, guitars and keys, she is a multi-talented singer songwriter. Make sure to watch her new videos on Sundays. She plays covers by Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Elton John, Cat Stevens, The Rolling Stones, The Byrds, Neil Young etc as well as her own material.

David Crosby wrote this in 1971 and Margot captured the essence of his beautiful music.
Holy crap! Why am I just now finding this? One of my all-time favorite songs from one of my favorite bands back in the seventies. I wore out an 8-track tape in my car of this amazing stuff. This version is fantastic, played and sung with great heart and feeling. Not forced, but natural to the singer while staying true to the original. Great guitar by both also. And RIP Crosby.
I remember when this came out. You are truly an old soul.
Fitting just seeing this the day of David Crosby passing. There's something very special about this song - captures a time that is long gone but lives on in the music.
Excellent rendition of a classic song! The video is perfect too!
Best rendition I've heard in over 50 years! Bless you, Ms Cotten!
Absolutely stonking good version of this song. You and your friend have got the CSNY style of playing off to a T. Exactly how they used to do it. Not to mention there is rich seam of other CSNY songs like this. Wooden Ships comes to mind. Carry On would be another. Hell, their first two records are full of killer songs just waiting for the Margot treatment :)
Such a laid back classy style to your songs covered.
And keep the hair, you look nice.
Bravo Margot....great cover of what I believe is the finest song that DC ever did
You and your dad rock!
Grandissima versione in onore dell'appena scomparso GRANDE CROSBY!!!! 🇮🇹
@@francescodessi9723 Grazie ciao👌
Wonderful! Would love to hear you do other Crosby classics like Wooden Ships or Long Time Gone, really suits your vocal style.
CSN would also give the opportunity of recording multiple vocal tracks to create the harmonies.
Hey, what a surprise. I did not expect that.
You chose a great song there. Very positive. And super performed by the daughter father ensemble. I am really excited.
And, I'll repeat the quote again on this occasion: 😉 Please, Margot, don't cut that beautiful hair! 😉
Margot, don't even joke about such a thing: you must NEVER cut those luscious tresses.
Don't worry I will keep them!
😂
One of my favorite songs ever. Thank you for the beautiful cover.
I am a big fan of the original extended version; I have to say that this is a remarkable, really-satisfying cover! Brava!
Margot Margot never cut your hair, so easy to look at, so hard to define! Dad's guitar play has the Knoffler sound bites.
Wow. Well done, y'all! Thanks! (Yeah, I was there for the original, too! 😂)
Fantastic rendition, Margot! That song was the perfect expression of the general edgy mood of the time when it came out, and you have captured it magnificently. I hope you do some of their other songs as well.
I knew right away that this cover would have an instant hit and would become a smash hit. A real masterpiece from you two.
Fantastic Margot, love it!!
OMG, those drums sound so dirty, the kick. The drums sound amazing! Overall the mix is great.
WOW..! FANTASTIC, YOU'RE REALLY SOMETHING GIRL... THAT WAS AWESOME ONCE GAIN...
AND YOU BETTER NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT CUTTING THAT HAIR OF YOURS - BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO, GREETINGS FROM LAS VEGS....
Just learning guitar, she is definitely an inspiration!. What a song !
Brilliant, think David would approve.
,une époque ! j ai super apprécié ce cover "in family" thanks MISS jackyfan 👍💖 bye just now.
I would have never guessed you weren't American. No accent. Absolutely authentic rendition. You have serious skills.
Thanks a lot for all your comments !
The instrument music sounds extremely profesional and like it was recorded in a studio , and you sing this very nicely Margot ...
It’s recorded in my studio
Love it!
Just a fantastic cover of an underrated classic! 🎸🔥 I really liked how you kept the spirit of the original while bringing your unique voice to it, Margot! 👏 I hope you never cut your hair! 😉
Will never do !

La musique comme on l'aime.
Once again, i prefer your version to the original.👋👋👋
Thank you Christian !
When in doubt, grow it out!
Margot forever. ❤❤❤
Whaouh !

Jolies guitares !
@@margotcotten merci beaucoup !
I confess I have never heard the original but your version is lovely. The guitars, the drums, your voice, lovely. But like Mikce, Michael and Gatsby I say, do not cut your hair. It's lovely also.
Thanks Margot, thanks Dominique.
you have to listen to the original version. if you compare you'll hear how awesome the cover is done. It's an outstanding homage to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Have you listened to the original ? You have to !
A huge vocal and orchestral improvement over the "original"; and please, Margot, don't cut that beautiful hair!
You mean Crosby's?
@@longtalljay He did the original; Margot's better and far more human.
@@waltbrown858 Sure. You remember the paranoia in Crosby's vocal? That's got something to do with the lyric.
@@longtalljay I'm not going to besmirch Margot's wonderful effort with your Crosby agenda. Leave it alone. The music's great, and that's enough for me.
@@waltbrown858 "Agenda," eh? ;-p
Hello, vraiment sympa votre duo, on en redemande, Fab
GOOD GOOD GOOD COMO SIEMPRE MARGOT SALUDOS DESDE ARGENTINA
I feel Like croz is somewhere above and letting his freak flag fly while listening to you like i do the whole evening 😀
Really fabulous! Don’t know this song - so for me, it is the original version - and can’t compare it with the CSN&Y rendition, but this interpretation was wonderful.
You should listen to CSNY's version !
@@margotcotten Yours is "up to par" with the original, in terms of taste, guitar interplay, very personal vocal rendition, and excellent drumming right on point.
