If someone puts a gun to your head and tell you to stop your habit or else they will blow your head off, you stop in an instant.
You will never revert back as long as there is that person ready to kill you and reminds you not to do it or else. It is a matter of turning off the automatic mode and make a conscious decision and a conscious action; you either DO or you DON'T.
Anyone that says its not that simple is acting on automatic mode. They go to their emotional brain for decisions, rather than letting their logical brain to decide.
Any person can access their logical brain and cut off the emotional brain in an instant. Unless a person has an intellectual disability, then that is a different story.

But in a situation where you want to follow your passion but you've financial crisis, then go for the necessary one which is obviously,earn money.

I have an addictive personality. I was addicted to smoking and drinking but I had to stop it because my situation changed, thankfully. Now I am addicted to sleeping for longer because it gives me that same good feeling of comfort. However, I've been trying to reason with myself when I wake up. I keep my phone away from me so that I at least get a few seconds to think logically and convince myself to get out of bed. It hasn't happened yet but I'm optimistic. Thanks for this video man.
Humans can get addicted to anything, People, Things, Food, you name it. Addiction happens when you are hiding from something that is eating you up from inside and because of the thing that doesn't matches with your own reality. You find a thing that helps you feel better "Temporarily". You repeat the cycle to feel the same and without even realizing boom you're addicted.
When there's no evidence of progress or momentum in what you're pursuing, good habits go down the drain.

Pick a place near your home and just walk there for 20 to 40 mins (you can vary it) and try to connect with your neighbourhood or just observe nature maybe you are not introvert it's just social anxiety who knows experiment and find out.....

What's your addiction?
keep on trying man. When you know that and still couldn't do it, the natural response is to have loss of faith. Be glad you already know it and may have some experience of taking the challenge to quit your addiction. First of all, minimise the guilt, it can break your momentum. Whenever you feel like bashing yourselves with your relapses, try to remember the part of your struggle, that you did good. Beleive me or not, the best way is to distract yourself from thinking and then slowly gaining the momentum again. Once you gain momentum, you increases your chances of being successful. Si whenever you lose momentum, its natural you would want to bash yourself and give up. Thats how we humans are. Just distract yourself and gain momentum. There is no shortcut, you have to go thru the pains again and again untill you win. The more you relapse the more youll want to lose faith on yourself, please dont. Its a bullshit negative perception telling you, "you can not do it". As a human you can achieve almost anything.
