    I made one a while ago but made a mistake of using a ruler to mark the diatance of the holes and ended up being 1mm off. I like the little spacer block idea. I will have to remake it.

    Nice, I always test center finders by going the opposite way too (turn the center finder around). If I get two lines, then it is wrong.

    Beautiful Workmanship, The bearings, which were the 10 mm and which were the 12 mm, assuming that this is the O.D. of the bearings, could also tell us the size and lengths of the screws you used? Where did you purchase the red lock down handle screws. Thanks in advance

    • @carpentak
      @carpentak  Рік тому +2

      thank you 10mm bearings use 5mm bolts and 12mm bearings use 6mm bolts. A length of 20 mm is sufficient. I used 12mm because I didn't have enough 10mm bearings. You can use just one of any. The red knob is a 4mm bolt. All of these were purchased from Ali Express. It's been a while so no link, but you'll find it easily if you do a search.

    After you set the stop on one side you could just turn the piece around 180 and drill the other end, no? It would be the same distance. I like the little bearing idea will definitely use that. Thanks

    • @carpentak
      @carpentak  2 роки тому

      The method should ensure that the position of the center hole is in the exact center. It will take longer to verify that. So the way I showed you works more precisely. thanks

    • @Belg1970
      @Belg1970 2 роки тому

      @@carpentak You already verified the spacing for drilling the first hole, you're just repeating the same process on the other side? Personally I think by doing a second move it just introduces another chance for something to move/shift. But you do what works for you.

    • @carpentak
      @carpentak  2 роки тому +1

      @@Belg1970 Yes, I marked the first hole in the center. But I don't think it was exactly centered. I can't say that my tape measure is 100% accurate. Also, there may be very small errors in my central hole drilling process. So I think it's more accurate to work like that as I have shown.

    Доброго. Молодец, хвастаться умеешь. Инструмент нефункциональный - не размечает до конца заготовки - видно по пробе. Хотя, нужно отдать должное - красиво, положить на полку, чтобы иногда полюбоваться. 😎

    아주 멋지네요.. 근데 오일 바르시고, 하얀 걸루 문지르셨는데, 그 과정은 왜 하는지요? 그 하얀 건 솜인가요?

    • @carpentak
      @carpentak  2 роки тому +1

      네 그과정은 폴리싱 작업입니다. 하얀 그건 폴리싱패드 라고 하는데 부드러운 수세비 같은거구요. 오일이 적당히 마른후 이렇게 문지르면 표면이 더 미끈해지고 촉감도 좋아집니다.

    Сделали очень красиво, только самого главного не сделали - автоматический прижим карандаша! ;(
    Когда сделаете и попробуете, тогда сразу поймёте!
    Если карандаш будет "выперать" и проведёшь им линию, то может местами непрочертить, или сломаться грифель.
    В случае прижима карандаша пружиной, будет везде равномерный прижим!
    Но и это ещё не всё, в случае разметки толстого бруса (примерно от 20 мм и выше) то может потребоваться делить ширину на 2, 3, 4 .... части, то там нужна другая конструкция, где карандаш можно зафиксировать в любом месте между крайними направляющими.
    Таким образом можно делить на произвольное число, чего невозможно сделать в этой конструкции, хотя на ней использовали редкое и дорогое дерево :(

      Thanks for the comment. I bought the pen from this site. However, it is only sold in Korea. You will probably find a place to order if you search by name. I know this pen is made in England.

    Very nice and beautiful indeed. But maybe a bit too much work about a little jig that can be simpler, and be made with a bit less effort and resources? Sorry about this little criticism.

    • @carpentak
      @carpentak  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks for the comment. Of course, you can also simply make it quickly. But I wanted to make my own cool and special tools, and I put a lot of effort into showing them off in a video. I think that if I make a nice tool, my videos will be more interesting. Also, there are people who learn carpentry by watching the way they make and show work.

      전동대패와 핸드대패의 차이를 이해하지 못했다는 것 같은데, 저는 섬세하고 정교한 작업에서는 핸드대패를 선호합니다. 그리고 부재가 얇거나 작을때도 핸드대패 사용합니다. 이것은 개인의 스타일에 따라 다른것이지 정해진 공식은 없습나다.
