Can't tell you how much I love working in the field doing mobile repairs. No boss and a great feeling of fixing cars where others need help. Great to see Keith on here :) I absolutely love BBB industries. They're great find and help! I actually used it other day to find the color and path to my o2 sensor on my Chevy Blazer. I had P0134. I replaced the plug as it was bent from the previous owner that never did get fixed. Since buying it, I'm addressing it now lol. I used your method with the light and multimeter. Harness is good. But the "new" sensor was faulty!!!! Ugh, had to take it back to get a replacement one as the old one was lazy and heater issue and very high resistance. O2 is shot. New one was faulty, now I'm on third one. Hasn't tripped a code yet. I kept thinking, I wish Ivan was here to help me to find this dang problem in 5 minutes instead of several hours lol!!
Great video. I'm still learning about the air bag stuff. I'm afraid to test air bag wires for resistance or feed as I don't want to deploy my air bag lol. How do I safely test it?

Oh wow. Haven't seen the Techstream since my Lexus days. Such a superior scan tool over the garbage VW/Audi makes us use. Interesting that a lot of the comments don't appreciate the new safety features that keep you alive during a crash.

Great diag, this is why I like to have the vehicle not just the module when erasing crash data from the srs module. After any airbag deployment 99% of the time body shop will send out air bag module to have the crash data removed, If the person removing the information clears to much of the dump or uses the dump from another srs module you end up with these codes that require an seat calibration. The insurance company pay the bodyshop to replace the module but most of the time the body shop just have someone clear tha crash information for a fraction of the cost of a new srs module and pocket the rest of the money.
But often insurance companies will cheat on you lowering fix price.

Wow. BBB has the factory diagrams for Toyota... I've never had to go there for Toyota diagrams but that's impressive.
I'm surprised you haven't got a black market copy of Toyota Techstream Ivan. If you order one of those pirate cables it comes with the software most of the time. All you need is a shitty old XP laptop to put it on. My cable looks just like Keith's. Never had any issues with no start but the newest vehicle i plugged mine into was a 2011 Avensis.

Interesting! Good to know, wouldn't want to change out that tiny module for a calibration issue. Crazy though, a no comm for a calibration. I bet the launch couldn't communicate even after the calibration. Good video Ivan 👍 cool beard Keith 😎

That was an interesting case study Ivan. BBB industries has stepped up their game with color, nice. That's funny. Eric says Keith calls him three times a day. It was good to see Keith again. I was hoping you guys could have come out to visit. I was camping with Mike in NY and Jim came out, so did Eric. We had a good time hanging around the campfire. So now you have to carry around a 66 pound weight? That's kind of funny.

Good luck at the traffic tickets. I do not know about the US however in most of the western world they are making it differcult to avoid them even if you intend on keeping to the limits. So many roads have so many different speed limits that it's hard to keep track of what the limit actually is. Sorry for the rant.
After an airbag recall and replacement on a friend's 2008 Toyota, the airbag light was still on. Car would not pass inspection (according to the dealer) due to the airbag light. Turns out SRS is not included in the state inspection. Car was inspected at another (honest) dealer. Airbag light is on due to open circuit in the airbag secondary charge. It's the clock spring. My friend said replace the clock spring so that the steering will be easier. It never ends...
I have the cardaq+3 and the remote toyota/lexus on my laptop. What autel model you have? I rarely need anything other than that. The dodge one is remote in my autel. Things can get complicated quickly nowadays lol. What scope do you recommend? I don't have that and never got into anything that deep but I been watching a few of y'all on UA-cam and can wrap my head around everything now. I've been an auto tech for 21 years but it's mostly been high volume heavy line. Right now I'm doing a frame swap on a 2021 silverado 3.0l diesel. I have learned some stuff from ya so I really do appreciate your sharing of knowledge
Its odd they didnt take it to dealership should still be under warranty if it a 16. Unless they bought it late 2015 then I could see why. I see this code more often then none and takes a min or two to fix . But that why sometimes having oem scan tools is great makes it easier to run this test and get info. Great video Ivan always love the Toyota videos.

That Plaza Auto Mall tag on the dash may be an indication of why the car needs a lot of work.. They have quite a reputation apparently. Scary reading the reviews. Good repair for you and Keith though..

Would be nice if had a manual way reset those seat controls, newer cars are going be total ballache in another 5 to 10yrs with all this junk to break and go crusty .

What did you use, TIS, Techstream 2 whatever its called. We had tough books with XP ages ago lol. I think we had sand bags for weights at the toyota dealer. I remember when it just came out, well Tis 2 its old now! Did the money grab red light cameras get you?

Any J2534 VCI should be able to program it. Lunch have it also in it's offer.

Sorry to hear about your experience with NY Court System . Its a little different in NYC and a few other metro areas in NY State , they have a special TVB traffic violations bureau which operates differently from other courts in NY. At the TVB. court they are funded based on their conviction rate. If its under 60 % they get no funding. The judge is an administrative law judge , and they have only 3 possible outcomes. : guilty , not guilty or a dismissal. No pleas or reductions at all. Even with an attorney you get nowhere with these clowns. I tried to get an attorney to represent me there and they all told me the same thing , they can represent me but essentially everyone who goes there is found guilty.
They were right . I visited the TVB a couple times before I had to appear and observed how it works. Its a rigged game you cant beat . Bottom line you gotta drive like an old lady not to get Fd with in NY.
Just read an article that NYS collected over 170 MILLION in just speeding fines in 2017 in upstate NY. That doesnt include what NYC and Long Island collected.
FYI 95% of all court fines go to the state, not the locality. The needle dicks in Albany use it for a piggy bank .
That makes me feel a little better about that situation :)

I believe the latest tests for Mother in laws and Terrorists to determine if the seatbelt pre tensioner holds gently or excessive pressure to kill the Terrorists and the same with the Airbag Actuator deployment or no deployment in the event of a crash 😂😂😊😊..Modern technology is amazing.

What with these Asian cars made in America? The ground is normally BLACK, not POWER. Had the same issue when I wired a backup camera for my daughter's Honda FIT. Being used to black as always being ground I wired it like that. The LED light didn't come on, tested the connector and saw power at the connector, tested the camera on the bench and the LED came on, but when I plug it into the harness nothing. Finally, figure it out that they used BLACK as the power feed and red as Ground.
I also have a copy of Techstream which I used to add keys for my Toyota Sienna and check DTC. Handy piece of software. It does run on a Windows 10 tablet and on my Window XP laptop.
I hear Keith knows a guy that knows a guy that knows the judge personally. All he needs is a small fee of 10k and those tickets will go away. :D

Did you happen to try the autel? I seem to have better luck with tests/calibrations with the autel than snap on or launch.
My Autel is only updated to 2014 lol

NY is alot like MA - always a cop every half mile on every highway, ordered to extort more tax revenue by the powers that be - the HIDDEN tax! I got bagged in NY once for not wearing a seatbelt. The cop ambushed me at a toll booth - he was on foot, and stuck his body out like he was going to cross, so I jammed on the brakes, and rolled through very slow - he got a good look at the belt hanging there, and yelled to pull over. Ticket was $35 ... with a $85 surcharge!!! Was LIVID. Was so mad I refused to go to NY for a long time ... but living in MA, I'd have to go thru Canada to avoid it if I needed to get anywhere else in America, LOL. Sounds like they really socked it to ya, Ivan - sorry to hear that!! That's the part of NY I hate - seems the officials are always looking for ways into your wallet (not unlike MA!).
