Seeing you boys perform Nutshell brought me to you. Please, stay away from drugs . You have everything in your hands. If anyone in your band has issues, carry them, help them through. Keep them. It’s not their fault, they need your support, not rejection. I’m not saying anyone does. Beautiful music deserves commitment. That means commitment that if anyone starts to fall, we catch them and lift them back up. You boys have a special thing happening. Hang on to it for dear life. I’m looking forward to more guys, keep it up! Damn! So good!

Such a simple, but impactful song. It gives me shivers, it actually made me teary. Going through some rough shit at the moment, so it really touched me. Why do we tend to gravitate towards listening to "sad/depressing songs" when we're feeling that way ourselves?

The best thing about this song is that even though I can relate a lot with the lyrics, singing along to it and belting it out grunge-style, helps release the anger, the tension, and honestly does make me feel better. This one's become my number one played song at the moment!
I would love to interview the band about the thought process or inspiration behind the songs on this album, as there seems to be a few moments of self-reflection, regret and perhaps writing about some of the tough times they've experienced. "Would You Be Me" has it, but the video kinda makes light of it, and it comes across as more of a fun, upbeat song despite the lyrics, whereas "Normality", wow, that song hits you. I've read other people saying it made them feel emotional. That's what good music should do. It should make you feel something... whether it be sad, happy, love, loss, whatever. That's music with substance. Thanks Mixed Up Everything for keeping music real.

That intro with the acoustic touch grabs you instantly. This song is a heavy reflection point of troubled times not that long ago in 2020 when the world stopped living. It’s fucking sad, maddening, enraging, and helpless…. Missing….
(Sadly, you could say the same for the world as it is NOW as well.)
Capturing that timeframe in song. This might be the best portrayal of feelings in any MUE song to date. As a big fan of this band, I feel those lyrics from the bands perspective and my own introspect. I know nothing about the 2nd album I Choose went as planned (much like life itself at times), but I promise it will never be a forgotten album much like the pandemic will never be a forgotten time in all of our lives.
This song spoke to me the LOUDEST on first listen. It’s my favorite song from the album for too many ways to express in this post.

As soon as I heard it, I felt something turning inside me like a mix of sensations and feelings that cut my soul, but that little by little brought a sense of understanding and comfort, as if telling me that everything has its time, place, development and end. Which ends up bringing conformation and hope. This is when the cycle closes and brings new perspectives and courage to start over. All this in 4 minutes. Craziness!! I can't stop listening to it
