@@FunGoingFast I figured. The Raptor is much more comfortable. I wish I hadn't sunk a bunch of money in the YFZ. Keep the videos coming. Looking forward to part 2.
@@RJR-9603 Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I'll do a direct conmparison of the 21 YFZ and my 20 Raptor soon as well. But I agree with you 100%, its crazy how much more comfortable the Raptor is. Best sport quad ever made in my opinion.
I bought a 2008 700r with some rough rear fenders. I can buy a new old stock 2013 rear fender. Did they ever change the colour blue? The salesmen says the blue on newer models is darker. I can't see that in this video.
I did a fair amount of research on that and did not find any difference in the stock part numbers on the rear fenders through the entire model range for the 700. The stock number on the front fender changed because the mounting points changed. They did play around with making certain fenders white for a while so just make sure it is am all blue fender. Yamaha calls it “purplish blue”.
All the magazine reviews from the major publications wrote that Yamaha made cosmetic and ergonomic changes in 13 and introduced the base and R models. But no engine changes until 2015.
The only change in an 09 and the first 700 from 07 would be the speedometer. Everything else is the same. There werent major engine changes until 2015. Hence 1st vs 2nd. Im not counting the 660 because thats a completely different machine in my opinion and not a 700.
Check out part 2 to see how these quads compare on the trail. ua-cam.com/video/3h6xZm028T0/v-deo.html
Can't wait for part 2
Thanks!
Before I finish the video, it’s definitely worth it. 10% more power! That’s a lot!
Valid point!
Just like every thing else. The old ones look so much better!
I've always wanted to see this 👌
You still have the YFZ450R? I just picked up a new '22 Raptor a couple of weeks ago. I am really liking it better than my '21 YFZ.
I do. And am feeling the exact same. I spent about 2.5 hours on the Raptor, first ride, on Sunday. That was one of the best rides I've ever had.

@@FunGoingFast thanks a lot, this is really helpful. It's an all blue fender.
2013 they resigned the head and installed that reed valve and only had a single header pipe.. it wasn't in 2015..

06 was the first year of 700
What size tires are on the Raptor with the black seat ?? Are thos 22s in the rear ?
It has 20x11x9's on the rear and 21x7x10's on the front.
Hey budd 430 hours is that with out engine rebuild?
Im not 100% sure since I bought it used wirh 400 hours but if I had to guess Id say so.
No reason in 2022 a machine shouldn't have a full gauge with speedometer
Agreed!
The 2009’s had the best and coolest huge ever on a sports quad. Sleek and fit in perfect.
When does part 2 come out?
Great question. Ive been trying to get in at a local dyno shop to do a HP comparison. As soon as that happens Ill get Part 2 out. Thanks for asking.
@@FunGoingFast get on it! Lol i called the yamaha shop here today.. Hopefully they have one ordered in a couple weeks!
@@TheCountryboy1207 haha! Good luck!
