This. With the exception of India and to some extent Russia, these countries are very hard to get in with a tourist visa. Several of these countries have no tourist visas available, and it isn't limited to the US, but Europe and Canada as well. In fact, with a Cuban passport, Russia is one of the only visa-free countries while most of the other countries, including the European Union requires a visa. While Singapore remains the most powerful passport, even allowing tourists to go to Cuba, even that will still require a visa to North Korea, Venezuela, and several Middle East and African countries.

This video ignores salient facts regarding U.S. foreign policy and the havoc it has wreaked in some of these countries.Afghanistan was occupied by the United States for twenty years, until the U.S. government had had enough (like the Soviet Union before them).Yemen is in dire condition because of the brutal policies of the Saudi regime, attacking the Houthi rebels. The USA is a supporter of Saudi Arabia in its inhumane military operations in Yemen.Cuba has suffered under a sixty year economic blockade engineered by the U.S. government.I could go on,but suffice it to say, people in various countries across the world have good reason to have a low opinion of Americans and the United States government.People in the USA need to wake up and stop having such a narcissistic, xenophobic and ahistorical view of the world.WatchMojo, like so many other media operations, leaves out a lot of crucial facts and allows Americans to bask in our smug, unquestioning ignorance.
We Americans are not ignorant. We know we are hated not because of what we do but who we are. We are not responsible for bad governments and bad cultures.
Yeah that’s why people are still trying to get into the United States by the millions literally if we’re so bad. Every superpower has a sphere of influence and for the most part the United States has been a force for good for the whole world. You can’t say that about china Russian or any middle eastern country for that matter.
When we specifically foment coups and overthrow leaders to put in much worse leaders, YES, we are quite literally responsive for bad governments. And we have done so, SO much of that. God I hate ignorant US citizens, you people are everywhere. Read a book now and then. Learn something.

Most people there truly hated us. However, the only reason we made it out was because of the few kind locals that helped us.
By the way, I hope Americans are aware that what they go thru to get to Angola or Russia is basically what us children of lesser gods in East and South Africa have to go thru to get a visa to USA. If not way worse. An East African can't just pack and travel to USA, we subjected to the most denigrating visa processing to be allowed to travel there.

There is an island off of Yemen that looks like another planet. The trees are right out of a Dr Seuss book, and the mountains are amazing. Good luck getting their though
Lucky to have traveled to Cuba 2 different times. It’s an absolutely beautiful warm and inviting country. The people are some of most friendly, inviting, thoughtful, intelligent and fun. Due to the embargo they are not as advanced in some areas like technology, but I think they are better for it.

Notice you didn't mention the REASONS why any of these other countries won't be wearing any American flag pins. It's just that these countries aren't "safe enough". Why DO other nations have such a random, completely unexplained lack of enthusiasm for the USA?
Funny thing. Angola was listed because it requires a visa to US citizens even though the United States requires a visa to almost all Latin American countries. Should Latin Americans not feel welcomed in the US due to this requirement? The double standard of this list is frankly alarming.
Some of these oil-economy-based countries are realizing before it is too late that they have to change their money making strategies, and tourism is a big industry.
At least other countries like Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Israel, France, Italy, Germany, Philippines, China, Ireland, Scotland, Croatia, etc. are still easy to travel and americans are still welcome.
China is safe for Americans until it does not suit the communists running the country then they will use them as bargaining chips. China has already stated their intent to attack the US.
Scotland is part of the United Kingdom. Also, how did Belarus, China, Lebanon, Nicaragua, Palestine, and Serbia not make the list of countries not welcome to Americans?
This is the REAL list of where Americans aren’t welcome. This video only mentions countries who’s government is opposed to the US and NOT the local populous’ hatred like the countries you named
This video was sponsored by the CCP. Considering that the USA and India are actually key members of QUAD, I don't think the person who made this list read up on the USA foreign policy on India.
Wow very disheartening to see my country India in this list. Maybe some areas in India are not good but there are so many beautiful places where tourists are warmly welcomed
None of these countries are as bureaucratic in obtaining a visa as the USA, as a Brazilian you have to join a long waiting list to schedule an interview at the consulate, then physically go to one of the cities, carrying an absurd amount of documents that prove your link with your country and even if you prove everything, many are denied without any explanation, causing the tourist to lose hundreds to thousands of dollars in the process
This came today on my recommended videos. On my point of view (I'm Italian), I think this kind of hatred of Americans always has to do with government or foreign politics, and not the people themselves. Granted, there are some uneducated tourists (of all countries) that will not follow rules or ruin monuments, so of course locals would start to question about their manners and blame the entire country. Too bad we can't agree to a common point between all the countries, that will certainly make life easier for everyone, right?
Yes. I’m tired of borders and misunderstanding and above all powerful people dividing us. If we don’t grow up and start acting like one people, which we are, we won’t make it.
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! There is also North Sentinel Island. But I think North Sentinel Island doesn't discriminate, and hates everyone else on this planet.
When I was younger and a practicing Muslim, I had no difficulty traveling to Saudi Arabia. It isn't a problem for Americans to travel as much as it is a problem for non Muslims.
To be perfectly honest, these are countries that very few Americans would ever want to visit in the first place. Most of them are war-torn, or repressive authoritarian regimes, or complete failed states, too dangerous to even consider visiting.
I went to Venezuela when I was 19 with my scholarship money. Got the visa .studied Spanish.. Everyone there was honestly really nice. I was offered a bed when I had gotten too drunk by an Abuela. I've been invited to homes for dinner. Granted I studied the language a Little. Even my first relationship was with a venezuelan woman in Colombia. Overall, my relationship with venezuela is a positive one. I think the title should be "the governments of countries who hate America". The regular every day people are open to meeting Americans. Some of them even having relationships with them.
Myanmar is here. 😅 Only the coup leader does not welcome americans. We, the citizens always welcome and will still warmly welcome who wants to visit us.
Mahal kita las Phillipinas,Aloha mi Ohana.."O au Kama'aina Hawaii..Konichiwa Nippon..Bushido Hinode Tanaka..so many places to go,see and enjoy...yours very truly Alfonso Cantu USMC
That's what I always ask myself too. There are probably certain people or certain groups tñfor them that don't even meet their criteria or have different beliefs from them or something like that.
USA also has a huge rap sheet of colonialism, racism, and other acts of marginalizations as well as crimes of assimilation......but let's keep playing into American exceptionalism; I'm sure someday we'll forget all about the mentioned atrocities going on for the past 700 years and still on going
"Welcome" is kind of a vague term. Probably the only country in the world that doesn't hate us at the moment is Ukraine. And I don't think that friendship is going to last, either.
Certainly, here are 5 key points from the transcript titled "Top 20 Countries Where Americans Are NOT Welcome": Myanmar (Number 20): Americans are discouraged from visiting Myanmar due to a coup, ongoing civil war, and potential dangers such as wrongful detention and violence. Yemen (Number 19): Yemen is another country with a U.S. travel advisory due to its civil war and terrorism issues, making it unsafe for American citizens. Sudan (Number 18): Sudan faces poverty, political instability, and armed conflicts, resulting in a U.S. travel advisory. Westerners are often targeted for crimes like kidnappings and assault. Libya (Number 17): Libya has high crime rates and violent extremist activities, with tourists being at risk of kidnappings and other crimes. There is no formal tourism industry. Angola (Number 16): While not under a travel advisory, Angola's visa application process is complicated, and approval may take months, making it challenging for American citizens to visit.
In all fairness, we did that after WW2 so the rest of the world could grow their economies without fear of shipping or interstate commerce disruption. Before WW2 the US had an economy equal to the rest of the world combined. We get a lot of flack for this, but there were very strong reasons our country felt forced and encouraged by other nations to act in that capacity.

#15. Venezuela..We travel across- DUDE -we travel across…
Dude! That was funny. Wonder who the narrator was saying that to?
As an American, If I make enough money at my job, maybe I’ll go to the UK and see how London is.
Oh, that's actually one of the best countries to visit.
Can you let go of your guns?
@@ChildrenoftheCorny Nice way of showing you have no idea about americans
I lived and worked in London during the summer of 1988 and found it to be a fascinating, multifaceted and enjoyable city.
@@ChildrenoftheCorny
No
To be fair we are to a degree responsible for the problems of a few of these countries
I’m not surprised at any of these places they are generally really dangerous or unsafe
❤❤
As a military member, I've been to Russia, Cuba, and North Korea.
You made a really accurate and detailed video, good job
Agree
Americans would do best to avoid extended stays in Germany as well.

The entire Middle East. Got it.
I have worked in: Iran, Yemen Saudi Arabia, libya, Russia, India and visited Cuba.

Damn! I’m sure Americans are absolutely devastated to learn they aren’t welcome in such amazing countries like Angola, Sudan, and Libya.
Damm. The rest of the world would thank there lucky stars every day that they are allowed to live in the USA. 🤣

Considering Libya just had a flood, who'd want to travel there?
I was honestly expecting number 1 to be Iraq since North Korea is pretty much closed off to the world
Don't let the facts get in the way of Americans trying to make it all about them.
I’m European and I would never want to visit any of these countries anyways…

This video was sponsored by the CCP. Considering that the USA and India are actually key members of QUAD, I don't think the person who made this list read up on the USA foreign policy on India.
Wow very disheartening to see my country India in this list. Maybe some areas in India are not good but there are so many beautiful places where tourists are warmly welcomed
I want to visit India someday.
I guess it's whoever is running the government at the moment. Venezuelans don't hate us, but their government does.

4:40 did I hear "we travel across---DUDE....we travel across the atlantic"
This came today on my recommended videos. On my point of view (I'm Italian), I think this kind of hatred of Americans always has to do with government or foreign politics, and not the people themselves. Granted, there are some uneducated tourists (of all countries) that will not follow rules or ruin monuments, so of course locals would start to question about their manners and blame the entire country.
Too bad we can't agree to a common point between all the countries, that will certainly make life easier for everyone, right?
Yes. I’m tired of borders and misunderstanding and above all powerful people dividing us. If we don’t grow up and start acting like one people, which we are, we won’t make it.
honorable mention: Pakistan, Palestine, Vietnam and Laos.
My opinion.
Actually Vietnam has better relations with the U.S than almost 50 years ago
@@JamesDavy2009 it's a spelling issue.

Wow, I haven't even heard of some of those. Luckily I do not feel the need to go any of those countries.
I don't think Americans want to go to any of those countries, and I wish people of those countries don't come to USA not even to this continent...
Knew North Korea would top this list!
Surprisingly USA is not on the list especially San Francisco and Philadelphia.

When I was younger and a practicing Muslim, I had no difficulty traveling to Saudi Arabia. It isn't a problem for Americans to travel as much as it is a problem for non Muslims.
Ya it sounds like a dream trip for a woman🤦
@@Hilz28 I completely agree that women are treated horribly in Saudi Arabia.
To be perfectly honest, these are countries that very few Americans would ever want to visit in the first place. Most of them are war-torn, or repressive authoritarian regimes, or complete failed states, too dangerous to even consider visiting.
How many of them became failed states because of the U.S.?
I cant think of many people who would want to visit these places, American or otherwise
I went to St. Petersburg, Russia in 2018. I was on a cruise and was there for two days. I’m so happy I went when I did because, I can’t now.
Only the coup leader does not welcome americans. We, the citizens always welcome and will still warmly welcome who wants to visit us.

I don’t understand why certain countries don’t like Americans? All Americans aren’t bad.
well, you can say that about all countries.
Good point but still….
One word: war.
Forget these countries Americans, you all can always come visit to great Britain and you all are welcome to visit.
"Welcome" is kind of a vague term. Probably the only country in the world that doesn't hate us at the moment is Ukraine. And I don't think that friendship is going to last, either.
Top 20 countries who don't get money from American taxpayers
Certainly, here are 5 key points from the transcript titled "Top 20 Countries Where Americans Are NOT Welcome":
Myanmar (Number 20): Americans are discouraged from visiting Myanmar due to a coup, ongoing civil war, and potential dangers such as wrongful detention and violence.
So, in other words, it isn't so much that we aren't welcome but that we're advised against going there.

Well if America stopped acting like the world police
In all fairness, we did that after WW2 so the rest of the world could grow their economies without fear of shipping or interstate commerce disruption. Before WW2 the US had an economy equal to the rest of the world combined. We get a lot of flack for this, but there were very strong reasons our country felt forced and encouraged by other nations to act in that capacity.
