    🌻 ABOUT COSMOPOLITAN CORNBREAD 🌻
In 2016 my husband and I retired from active duty army family life and planted roots in Alabama. We started a homestead from scratch, and shared that journey here on UA-cam. In 2022 we answered the call to the mountains of Arkansas, where we are starting that journey once again.
I post videos to encourage families to embrace growing food, cooking real food and living a simpler, slower, faith-filled life. I am a whole bible believer, and share my passions for the home and the Father.
Here on Cosmopolitan Cornbread some of what you will see include:

Praying the Lord RICHLY blesses these new plants to do better than you could have ever imagined. 🙏

I am thrilled to see your still planting. Tomorrow is a big day remediation starts on my home. 98% of everything in my home is now being thrown away. The only items salvageable are really keepsakes. I just realized “Poisoned” the title was actually my life as of late. 🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s

I grew Sugar Rush Peach peppers last year and made two hot sauces with them, one with frozen peaches and the other with mangoes from my tree. Both sauces are so good. I had the peach one as a dipping sauce for fried okra last night, it was a tasty combo. I had to start over with my green beans and tomato plants, for some reason they just didn’t do as well as they did in the winter.

I just love you. I'm praying I can still start things. My garden is my solice with God and because of opioid hystsria doctors stopped prescribing what ensured I had a decent quality of life, leaving me mostly bedridden. Missing everything normal people celebrate in life and share on their social media. I have mourning where those photos and joy should be, for all I'm absent from physically. Thank God he holds me but no one could understand nor would I want them to experience what they'd have to, in order to understand. Please please pray God helps me plant something, anything. I bought starts when my therapist took my to the greenhouse, but I was laid up for days after from the excursion. They're dying. Please pray God revives them because he can. He's kept my garden while I've been away, perennials I found growing made me cry with joy for all his comfort and goodness. He's so good to my undeserving soul hallelujah.
I'm behind on the mortgage for losing my ability to do IT work on the side, I mean so behind only God knows why they haven't foreclosed.
I need more help than anyone could even bear.
    But God. But God.
But by the grace of God go I.
He's teaching me walk on water faith. I trust in him. He is my strong tower and refuge in the storm.
Forgive me and guide me heavenly Father and abundantly bless and comfort all your children. Especially those reading this right now. In Jesus name amen and amen.

🌱Hello Contamce! Good growing and a restful Shabbat!🌶🫑🌶As an aside, in Deutere 22 it sez not to plant two kinds of seed in ur vineyard; if you do, not only the crops you plant but also the fruit of the fruit of the vineyard will be defiled.
I have not considered this command. Any thoughts

    • @CosmopolitanCornbread
      @CosmopolitanCornbread  4 місяці тому +1

Interesting that you bring that up. I was just thinking and praying on that as I was in the garden today. As I was praying about it, I envisioned a field of wheat with "bad seed" mixed in with it. Or some grain other than wheat. It talks about a vineyard being planted, though we don't normally plant a vineyard with seeds.
We know that the Garden of Eden had many kinds of trees, all sorts of fruits that were good to eat. So I don't think that it means that you can't have a typical garden where you grow many things.
Leviticus 19 says “You shall keep my statutes. You shall not let your cattle breed with a different kind. You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor shall you wear a garment of cloth made of two kinds of material." That is basically the first telling of the same commands.
I really think it refers to mixing seeds together of different kinds in the same plot/field. Particularly because it goes on to talk about mixing other things.
