What I’ve noticed from this video, besides this amazing synth, is that Luigi Scarano is/has/does: 1- Italian name 2- French accent 3- Present in English 4- Work for a Swiss guy who lives in the Philippines 5- Showcase product inspired by vintage units made by a Japanese company, with components made in China 😅
And Luigi formerly ran Fingersonic. You can see his odd French-English accent there. (I'm wondering if he was involved in the BX1 because he made FM synths at Fingersonic.)
Brutal bros! El mejor vídeo de BX1 hasta el momento. Y los sonidos ya van haciendo justicia al desarrollo, porque te llevas otra impresión muy pobre de la unidad al ver otros vídeos. Gracias por el esfuerzo!!!
Keep in mind this doesn't even have the Effects section yet -- it wasn't ready for the show. So there will be more flavor available to the sounds when it's launched.
@ I let you listen to the demos of DX1 and DX7, no doubt if you have pro speakers and i you are not daft , you will appreciate that the DX7 sounds better than the BX1.
Oh F*** Yeah ! After selling my DX5 and TX816 for £250 and £333 respectively ... ( in 2009 - different times ... ) I feel this will be a beautiful replacement ! WANT !
This gave me a good laugh. I was waiting for Behringer to have a go at the DX7, but they went straight for the Big Boi. Ahh, Behringer, you absolute rascal. :D Yup, this is probably my next purchase. I don't have any FM synths, and I have a hard time programming them, but this one looks like an absolute gem.
so you put Analog Filter on a Digital FM synth oscilator so it's a DX1 with analog filter, not a CS 80 without the ribbon controler and the complexity of the analog VCO.
But if they release a clone of the CS80 (something that everyone has been waiting for for a long time), let it be in a CS80-type box... not a CS80 in a DX1 box...!!! and nobody should worry... whatever it is, it won't be expensive and it will be accessible to everyone..
I'm surprised someone from Behringer didn't wipe down the top panel before doing this demo, it looks filthy. But the good news is, this sounds wonderful, thank you for posting.
WOW... should sneak FS1R formant operators and cross-modulation from the GS-1 in there. Vintage repros are kinda boring, but this is just the B's kneez. Poly aftertouch?
Still 40 year old technology. No one can come up with anything new? Plays one maybe two voices at a time like everyone else's. It's a tribute but everyone has FM/DX on everything now even a toy SeqTrak and YC and other manufacture's everywhere. The Korg WaveState is something different still not new but not boring either and very affordable. It makes actual music. I have many synths but they are all basically the same. I think we've reached the pinnacle of sounds (game over) now it's about time for music-making auto-machines. We're just going backwards or back in time all the time now. Make something musically self-creative.
Many flat buttons, one single data entry slider, a tiny display, printed-on FM algorithms... Where is the advantage to the originals? Why did they not use the availability of modern techniques and build a large FM synth with a proper user interface consisting of a big touchscreen, a considerable amount of pots or even encoders and intuitively playable modulation controllers? That would have made a difference to all the original DXs from back then and all these Motif and Montage machines (which at least have a not-too-small touchscreen). Adding proper filters is always a good idea, though. But it seems they missed the opportunity to finally make FM synthesis touchable and playable, which is a shame.
Not impressed. If they want to convince me this is an FM synth ( or has the FM at its core) then they need to play FM presets reminiscent of the stock factory DX7 sounds, it would have taken little effort and time to start with a scratch sine-wave patch and build it quickly from there, but the focus seemed to be analog modeling, of which there are already too many of in the market.
Stunning Behringer. Making awesome music tech available to regular working class people.
Bheringer, la marca del pueblo, democratizando el poder tener sintes que hasta hace poco la mayoría solo podíamos soñar con ellos.
Amén !
You can’t get a dx-7??
A Dx7 is 500$ this Berhinger will be same price. I prefer the sound of the original

What ?? the most incredible FM synth of all time ? the DX1 !!! Behringer the best !!
Waiting for the BP8, Bairlight and Byclavier.😊
Cuando algo suena así 4:00 sobran las palabras 🎹🖤
Absolutely fantastic I'll take 14 of those
TFF's DX1 fixin' explained 🙂 Good job, it sounds amazing!
Can‘t wait to get my hands on it!

that crunchy hybrid-digital analog texture is so perfect. this is a genius machine
ant wait to get my hands on it
Fantastic! I own an old DX5. Never thought of selling it, but maybe I should and just buy this, if it comes out and seems stable.
Man! That BX1 looks “rad!” A CS80 engine? Wow! Gotta make room! Can’t wait for this!!!😠🎹🎶👍🏾
“Only“ CS80 filters, if I have understood it correctly. Makes sense, because the tone generators are the FM engines.
@@RayyMusikThat’s good enough! Can’t wait for its release! As long it’s not ALL digital or ALL analog. Like the combination.
Looks and sounds premium. AND Thank god they put a 61 keybed.
This is gonna be a true flagship synth and Behringer’s best idea ever! Not sure if I (69) will live long enough to get one though.
Definitivamente compraré uno , felizmente beringer tiene en cuenta siempre los precios y no sera un equipo inalcanzable como los de otras marcas me
First the Wave, now this? Behringer has gone totally insane...in the best possible way. ✊
Keep in mind this doesn't even have the Effects section yet -- it wasn't ready for the show. So there will be more flavor available to the sounds when it's launched.
😊
Can’t wait for the “finished” product!!
Tened en cuenta que la parte de efectos no estaba todavía lista. Así que lo que se oye es el sintetizador puro.
It even has that DX brown colour! This looks like a really interesting synth, amazing stuff coming out of the evil Behringer lair these days!
Did someone open a 40-year time capsule? It's beautiful Yamaha!
It's not a Yamaha, it's a Behringer.
@@titovalasques I think he meant the style of it.
❤ This is a genial machine.
Brian Eno really needs to buy that one and create another Shutov Assembly-esque album.
Dx7 sounds better
@gonreebgonreeb Than DX1?

Every time Behringer announces something I'm like "Nah, I don't need it." And then they release it and I buy 2 😂😂😂
Def gonna buy this one for sure!
Looks great, layout seems intuitive.

I know that the lights are bright in the hall but the LEDs aren't showing up that well. Looks dope though. Very tasty.
Wow!
Will be amazing if they can release this monster Fm synth again....!!1
wow !
a keyboard version of the FS1R would be more interesting. I had 3 of them new. they sounded great, but the interface was abysmal.

shut up and take my money !
And this will be multi polyphonic expression I imagine ?
Nostaliga Fueled products
The filter sounds good. Interesting product. Does this mean that Behringer will or will not release a CS80 clone?
It would be so expensive too
@ their other products are not expensive so maybe not?

DSPs? In 2025? That's an interesting choice.
i'm pretty sure they are microcontrollers and not true dsp, maybe some stm32
take note yamaha korg Roland that what we musicians want and will be affordable
Toller Synthesizer aber leider zu groß für mein Studio.

Pastiche has been the thing in pop music and Hollywood since 1990.

You want to ruin a beautiful machine with ugly touchscreens and modern pad buttons? What’s the point then?
Please watch Daniel Fisher‘s deep dive into the DX1! This is by far easier to program than my MODX - and even more so than the DX7, of course.

Sounds absolutely amazing.
From what they played there it sounds quite unimpressive...

Hmmm - why am I getting Mechanical Turk vibes? Pretty sure Uri is hidden away under the table with a DX-1 and a CS-80.

From what I could hear, the sound is quite indigestible, I hope this keyboard can do better than that
