Blade 700 Fusion sunset flight by Stefan Finster

First day after a long time meeting my buddy Stefan for some flying outside of an Event. So it was also the first day where we could actually do some proper setup flights.
We both still need to get adjusted to it but we tested some different blades and settings on the Fusion 700 and compared it to all our other 700s we have.

Hey mate, nice flight. What ESC are you using. I got the suoer combo with the 120avian and ive had a big issue. First flight never got off the ground and the ESC failed, got a replacement ESC and that manged to hover for 20 seconds in idle up 1 and then died leading to an auto. Neither were even warm and didnt take any more than 40amps before they quite. Any ideas?

I used the 120A Avian in my Specter 700. You should find the Video on Stefan Finster’s channel. It perfectly holds up with the same kind of 3D so the issue must be the settings. Only once the 120did a soft cutoff on the 700 when I was flying really hard but never did anything to the esc.
Do you use the internal governor or the one from the flybarless ?

I just set the governor to helistor gov in the ESC with a gain of 1 as per the manual. I didn't set up a governor in forward programming. I set the throttle and pitch curves as per the manual. Did not setting a governor in forward programming create the problem? The governor in forward programming says p100 I 30 headspeed 0.

I didn’t use forward programming because I use an Ar7210 Beast X so I set up the ESC first to airplane mode, esc soft cutoff, bec voltage to 8.4V and after setting up the endpoints 0-100 I did program the governor over the fbl. Still need to get myself the 6350HX to do the forward programming.
The ESC governor also works great in my opinion, you could also use that. Used it also in the flight I mentioned with the Specter.

maybe also check your motor? move it by hand does it spin freely?

@StefanFinster motor was spinning freely and drawing low amps but it was the motor. I popped 2 ESCs
