This review is just right. The highlight for me was how dense and beautiful the world is, but man, did they get the way a cat moves, and feels just right. The way the cat lands from a jump in particular, was just like my beloved orange Tabby, who looks very much like the cat in Stray.
It is really funny, 4 weeks ago I was at my daughter and her husband's home and Greg (her husband) was playing this game and I was so surprised at how funny it was. So then I bought it on the PlayStation! And I am now so so happy that I have this game, even though 98% of my games are Lego and Big Fish games. But I am so so so loving this very funny game, especially since I have 6 of my own cats!

Not a bad game but it is only an 8 if you have your expectations in check going in. There aren't really any gameplay elements at all unless you count the "puzzles" and very few "run from the bugs" sections. It's a walking simulator. You can't even count platforming since you essentially warp from ledge to ledge and can't fall off. Not a bad game at all, but I can understand if people were expecting something more along the lines of a platformer.
There is actual gameplay all over. Puzzles are gameplay and stealth sections are gameplay and exploration is gameplay. It's not a walking simulator as you clearly don't know what that means. It's worth more than an 8.
They didn't, this is a great game and one of the best games of the year. It's immersive and a love letter to not just cats but cat lovers. Stop writing ignorant comments.

I watched someone play this and I fell asleep. That's not necessarily a dig at the game. I personally found it boring and the "be a cat" gimmick... Well, I'm not a cat person.
I tried the game yesterday. It is a fun short game with nice graphics and very nice snappy controls. Not every game has to be the same boring shooter for the last 20 years. Personally I hope on a Portal 3 release or something like that in the future.

I really enjoyed the game primordia, it’s an adventure game with good puzzles, no cats but the world is similar.

fwiw, the game is short and sweet enough that the mechanics don’t overstay their welcome. That’s been my experience anyway.
