Ooohh I think between those two, I would get the chanel, just because it will stand the test of time way more! Like when I’m 40 or 50 I won’t be wearing the bottega but I’ll stil reach for my Chanels
I have like 7 Bottega bags so I get it. Here’s the thing about the packaging... they’re not even doing boxes anymore because the company is trying to be more eco-conscious. All new bags come in a white dust bag with green writing wrapped in a white plastic-like envelope, and then put in a green shopper bag. So the only reason you probably even got a box is because they’re trying to get rid of them all, along with the old brown dust bags. Now as far as keeping the bag... I would return. The cassette is not a timeless piece and it fits barely anything surprisingly. Plus the huge obnoxious chain is the only thing where Daniel Lee went wrong at Bottega this far. It’s tacky af.
@@peixikwee yea it’ll get more consistent I suppose when they finally get rid of all the old packaging. I just bought my second large intrecciato pouch the other day and I wanted a box of corse and he said he only had one left! I wasn’t going to pay $4600 CAD for a bag and not get a box! That would be crazy to me lol. So in that aspect I suppose the new packaging experience is not going to feel as luxurious to the customers... but we’re helping the planet.
I know what you mean! It’s a tough one, I feel like having a box as an option upon request would be good! For those who want the box and will actually keep it!
@@peixikwee I'm eyeing for the fondant leather for the longest time and I am decided to purchase it for my bday this year. So I guess I must buy it from the store and not online coz I need to see and feel it first. Thank you for sharing your impression about the leather.
P.S.: We are talking hypothetically ... so, hypothetically, in order not to become less roomy with the added inner lining ... the bag can have one centimeter more - in all three directions. Sometimes, one centimeter more ... can make all the difference. 🙂
I have this bag and I’m obsessed with it, and I feel blessed to have a luxe bag like this.
I’m debating on whether to get the BV chain cassette or Chanel classic flap. I’m a little worried this bag may be too trendy, but it’s so beautiful!

Oh wow I didn’t know that!! I do like that they are trying to be more eco conscious but hopefully the experience becomes more consistent soon!

I would get the leather version.
I was debating between this and the cream leather, but feel like the leather will get messed up super quickly

Yes I definitely would suggest going to the store to see it first!
Such a beautiful bag! Love the chocolate colour and the chunky chain 💖😍👌🏼
I’m looking forward to this I don’t know if I can justify ! So close to Chanel pricing . Do you think it’s just a trend ?
I don’t think it’s as timeless as a chanel for sure. I’m having a hard time deciding because it’s pretty but I don’t think it’s practical
uhm girl have you ever bought a Chanel bag? It’s like twice the price.
@@val3787 it depends on the bag from chanel. My mini rectangular was just under $4000 which is almost exactly the same as this...
@@val3787 yes lol! I work in luxury! I think that bottega is a trend and will come and go so not worth the price of a mini flap
@@peixikwee thanks 🥰
Love the bag...it’s gorgeous 💕
Thanks so much love!!
Hi Pixie nice to meet you here 🙏🏻
Oh no I hate when you pay so much and the packing is bad because part of the price is the packaging
I do love it but the packaging and price point is a turn off
I know right!! I agree that the pricing is too close to chanel :/ and the packaging experience was really not up to par
It's pretty. A keeper.
What do you think, would it be better ... for this wonderful bag ... to have an inner lining - possibly made of a thinner leather ?
P.S.: We are talking hypothetically ... so, hypothetically, in order not to become less roomy with the added inner lining ... the bag can have one centimeter more - in all three directions. Sometimes, one centimeter more ... can make all the difference. 🙂
I really thought they would have a longer return policy
Omg i havent seen you for a long time
Ahhh welcome back!!! Hope you’re enjoying this vid 😊
I think you return all your stuff.
Return it if you haven’t already
I don’t think it’s worth it. Given that it’s so heavy as well I don’t think you will grab it a lot to wear.
Thank youuu for your input!! I think I’m also swaying towards not keeping it.. it is not the most practical:(
