Dokkisse I have a personal bias against porn because i discovered it at a 10 years of age and I felt like that made me lose interest in people who were the same age as me. I would watch porn around 2 or 3 times a week and when I tried to stop, I couldnt. I felt like it was weird to have a crush classmates , because then when I come home from school Im watching some mature adult having sex and I think its the most hottest thing ever. I wish I never saw porn because I feel like it was a “spoiler” of what life would be later on. I feel like I want to protect other younger kids from porn because I feel like it would improve their quality of life, because I feel like porn can take that spice away. Although I do think porn could be harmful to everyone, I focus on kids because I think they are the most vulnerable to porn. Peer pressure can be hard for kids to resist, and curiosity can be tempting for a kid. Addiction is also harder for a kid to fight.
I also extend the same 18+ rule to social media because kids can fall victim to certain stuff if not supervised. For example predators, bullies, they may watch other graphic content. Just like my experience with porn, I think social media use can increase anti socialness and can be addictive.
As for junk food, when I hear of childhood obesity increasing, I think we need an intervention. A lot of people advertise to kids to encourage consumption unhealthy food, which I think is not fair. I think its not fair because kids do not have the ability to resist several marketing attempts. I also think that kids who become unhealthy as a result of junk food, end up regretting it when its too late. As a result, I consider them victims. I think that its becoming harder for parents to protect their kids against junk food, when kids are like walking money machines to advertisers, who will continue to develop ways to make kids consume or to keep their interest.

I understand that at a certain point the houses will be considered condemned by the government and it will be illegal to sell them or whatever, but before it gets to that point, there will be plenty of time for the house to be sold and bought resold and rebought again for lower and lower prices. By the time the house is considered unsafe for living by the government, the person living there will barely care since they got the house for so little money anyway.

jibraan123100 Let me be clear: no person who is currently owning a completely fine house is going to suddenly be pushed out of their house. When they bought that house, they'll buy it knowing, "hey it's a kinda close to the water" then the next person who buys it might see it slightly closer and slightly closer, then someone will have to note that sometimes the basement gets wet when there's a lot of rain, then the next person who buys will note that the the basement gets wet when there's just a little rain, and each buyer will be paying less and less because it's less and less convenient.
Yes, long term, this will disrupt cities and require some mass location, but if you honestly think that a single person is going to find themself underwater, out of nowhere, within the span of his own lifetime, you're mistaken.

Lack of food and malnutrition is very common among people working there, and plus justifying an exploitative system just by saying that it’s better than systems in the past is exactly the same argument that the loyalists would make back in the American Revolution. They would’ve said, “Why do you want to revolt against the Empire? Most people eat and most people read, this isn’t an issue and you should just stop complaining.” It was a weak argument back then and it’s one today too.

It's almost impossible to come out on the authoritarian side unless you're a literal fascist. And it fails to classify tankies in the top left because its definition of "authoritarian" is being against gay marriage etc.
That said, it was worth watching Ben struggle his way through these completely neutrally-phrased questions, only to conclude that it was obviously written by deliberately deceptive leftists as some kind of conspiracy, in exactly the same way he reacted to Andrew Neil. When you're a proto-fascist, neutrality must seem like some kind of leftist psy-op.

A few months later, the USSR sent tanks into Hungary to crush the revolution. And thus the “tankie” was born.

To answer your question: That’s the way society has been setup, I assume; since the hunter-gathering days, men always been the providers & protectors- I assume men never really had the option, while women give birth, and the child is directly connected- add the other societal norms/expectations? Here we are.. again, I assume; but, it’s definitely not true due to what we see now.. it’s definitely not a absolute, as well.
There are many women who are tough disciplinarians, and fathers who are more loving & caring to their children. As we see the playing field leveled, where women & men are providers, and equal- we are seeing that parenting standards aren’t based on gender; because the options are open to fathers & mothers to be more nurturing if they want to be..
This is just me pretty much rambling.. but, hopefully I provided some kind of insight to how I perceive it to be. I’m sure I’m not accurate, or correct, but-

@@honeybee3269 What irks me about this compass is that libertarianism is being equated with anti-authoritarianism.
I've personally encountered libertarians who argued against public protests because they thought that people marching on the streets interferes too much with the ability of employees to get to work. And other libertarians (like Ron Paul) opposed the Civil Rights Act because they believe businesses should be allowed to discriminate against minorities.
None of the other cardinal directions of that compass have a label that is also the name of a specific political philosophy; that bottom part should read "civil liberties" or "individual rights" instead of "libertarianism".

@@orando191 not really by government per se. Not as we'd understand it. Indeed , monarchy "ownership" is as similar to private ownership as state ownership by modernist standards. It's not really so useful to apply that lens, and if you insist on doing so you should equally treat it as critique of the private ownership model (which, obviously Ben won't since he will only reduce history down to an anti-government narrative for his own purposes, hence monarchy will be interpreted as modern state rather than modern corporate owner although they can apply equally).
Land can be best understood in modern terms as "owned" by the crown and parcelled out in exchange for allegiance and taxes (feudalism), however the idea was that land was free for common usage as while the monarch was God's elected ruler on Earth, they didn't "own" the land. Which is why the acts of enclosure which basically created what we'd recognise as private land ownership rights were so controversial.
The idea that you could just categorically claim a piece of land as one-person's enduring legal entity was a foreign one. The king had the divine right to dictate land use for purposes, but the whole community still had certain assumed rights over land (in particular, it's use for subsistence).

@@mrmcduck4902 Although that's technically true, the fact is that society then was more hierarchized despite that. Commom ownership doesn't necessarily mean more equality. The high society had access to far more land and privileges than the rest, not to mention that the servants had to pay so many tributes that they weren't much different than minimum wage slaves

@@ThePipojp that's absolutely true, but that wasn't the point I was making at all.
I'm not claiming feudalism was actually super egalitarian and good socialist policy because they were allowed to use land for food they needed to not die.
My point was that private ownership as we understand it is a historically recent concept, and the conservative habits of viewing private ownership as a constant through history (when it wasn't even constant in European history) along with reading feudalism as analogous to state ownership (when it is as similar to private ownership model by modern standards, since the state was embodied in an individual) is anachronistic cherry-picking.

I think that libertarians should realize that BOTH governments AND businesses can be tyrannical!
EDIT: I know that a lot of libertarians, including you, do realize what I said above, but, sadly, some libertarian think-tanks tend to not hold corporations accountable, and instead just blame the government, which is only half true!
