I was there in Chelsea 2 and a half weeks ago. Surely that same street. I regret we turned around to visit other galleries. Thanks for the report. Love what you do. Just came across one of your videos from a year ago and you said that it has been 13 years of the kalm report then. I've been watching almost as long. Thanks a bunch!

" Sir, sir we're gonna close please " . that man obviously didn't how well known and important you've become in the art world with your youtube channels . he should have been catering to you and offering a fiji water or a perrier and maybe even some hors d'oeuvres and canapes. pleasant work by Jonas Wood . again nice job James . .

I can't be too hard on the security people, they're just doing their jobs (and besides they let me record for at least twenty minutes with out interfering)...

Really interesting work, particularly his revisioning of other artists and the Classical Greek vase approach. Gagosian was gentle with you on this visit. I like these single visit 20 minute clips more than the longer ones. Thanks James and Kate.

Love these works. A lot of thought has gone into the colour choice and compositions here. It's not that this style of object reduction has not been done before but more that he executes his ideas so well.

Thanks James. The last 2 pot paintings appealed to me.Technically accomplished in pattern and color and clever use of Matisse's work. But as yu say lacking the touch of tragedy, or Deunde. Much of the work seems souless for that reason.

These paintings remind me a lot of David Hockney's style also.

I could pick up on some of his comic book influences from the first painting you show of the interior room. He's technically proficient which I enjoy over some of the last shows, which have been a bit to smeared painting technique for my liking.

Wondered if Gagos was going to drop the hammer and you'd have to resort to the half-assed art stealth cam. I tend to romanticize the days when you'd go outside, slip into spy mode, re-enter and walk by the security people. I felt as though I was part of doing something naughty and it was quite thrilling and taboo....the idea of being thrown out of an art gallery for being a disobedient artist. In my past though, I have been thrown out of art galleries but I digress....oh, yeah, the paintings, resonably flat......but colorful in a patterned kind of way.

The ceramics are inspired and references of his wife's studio. I believe they share the same studio space or next door to each other.
Personally, I like his still life/landscape paintings but the ceramics are an interesting mix of his childhood toys and daily life in the studio.

idk why but his paintings always seemed like an illustrator doing Fine Art ... I can see why they sell but they bore me tbh

Krishna Sarmiento : yes, me too, although I admire how much he produces. To me they look like images created on his PC (in Illustrator or other) and printed out. I bet he draws them up on the PC first - and why not?! And yes: I can see why they sell but for me they are purely decorative and I feel no emotion - maybe I'm too old!

This is at Gagosian? And you are worried they will kick you out?? Rather, they should kick the art out. Hockney should be insulted by the reference. This country is going into the toilet and now artists are following suit. Artists, do your best work... resist! "Dealers", don't accept crap.

dont you know that they despise art and artists, they are merely chasing profits. The same goes for many artists today. The love of easy money has brought the quality of everything down

Yeah they seem like really good illustrations, but I'm not sure. Work was put into them. Don't think I could want one in a place in my house that I was in a lot. I kind of lined the way you spoke about the art. Not sure why this artist gets so much attention compared to the MILLIONS of other artists in the world. I like Robert Therrien myself, popular with Gagosian.

His daddy was/is a big shot art collector so that's why this edgy "chowd" gets the "made man" sweetheart treatment in the art world.
      Kind Regards,
