Got off work and was able to finish watching this video. The Rapala Super Shad Rap is a Classic, and a hot tip, they're only 14.49 at Vandam Warehouse! I'm a huge fan of wooden crankbaits that don't have any rattles! Though, I have learned to make certain that they are built with the thru wire design! Good stuff Sam!

I would assume some of the plugs I use for striped bass would be great for muskies like a slope headed darter.
Dude yes I have some of those...haven't whipped them out yet but one of these days I'm sure I will. Heck you could throw a tin can out there with some hooks and Christmas tinsel and I'm sure a Musky would hit it.

Whats a good budget rod and reel musky
The new piscifun Alijoz 400 is hands down the best low budget Musky reel because it has all the same specs as some of the high end reels for a fraction of the price.
As for rods I like to stay away from the $100 ones as I haven't had good experience with them holding up although th okuma evx has a lifetime warrantee so if something happens to it they will replace and it's only $120. My favorite mid tier rod is a st croix Musky Mojo...it's around $200 but is probably the best quality for the money...Tackle industries is another good mid tier rod....high end rods are chaos tackle and st croix legend elites and Thorne bros.
