Melanie is a wonderful dancer but it is clear as day why paloma won doing the same thing and it is because paloma had charisma and amusing and exciting facial expressions. Mel, while i do appreciate her needs to train somewhere where they can work on her acting in particular. I wish both of them the best.
Wow, I’m so impressed. She knows all she has to do is one of her 18, 19, 20 pirouettes and she’d easily win people over. But no. She danced instead - and it was gorgeous. So 70s. V brave. There were some beautiful dynamics on show there. Magic!
I watched Melanie on Master Academy UA-cam. I believe their posts are a great thing…being able to see inside a professional school!! Please continue…wish other schools would do this. Especially good is the sense of fun and joy at this school with dancers cheering each other on!!

Love your interpretation - you're softer, smoother, more playful, absolutely approachable .. you "didn't try" - you just danced. (What a change from getting un-rolled out of a rug!) You just gave Steven McRae's 007 tap a run for his first place money. (Has Wheeldon seen you dance this?)
It’s a beautiful execution of the steps but I wish it felt like there was life in the performance as opposed to it feeling simply a linear set of movements that have to be done in a certain order. It may be on the back of seeing Paloma’s beautiful performance which felt more lively and engaging to watch, still a great demonstration of technique and grace.
