Talked the wife into letting me build a new PC. I think I am definitely getting this board. It will take me longer to build, but will be better in the end as it will be pretty future proof.
man hopefully you found one for msrp. i got one for msrp after looking for a month simply because the microcenter we had 2 hours away got a batch of them and i just so happened to look online and was able to reserve one. but 1200 for the motherboard is insane
Did you have any trouble with the front io on the Antec case? I got the power switch lit up but it won't power on and off I have to use the Xtreme's onboard power button. There was a strange pass through 4 pin power connector that I didn't hook up I wonder if that's why?
Very cool stuff man! I myself am on the fence about upgrades too, though you are further along. Originally I wanted to upgrade to the 9900k back almost 2 years ago when I built my 8700k system. Now that I am doing more content creation tasks I feel I need to split off to the AMD route! I think I may settle on R9 3900x with a similar motherboard you have featured here.
thanks for the feedback! the 3900x is an amazing processor. i have one on a Crosshair VIII Hero. very nice setup indeed! i'll also say that the 3700X is awesome content creation as well as gaming... if you haven't had a chance to play around with one.
@@KDSTech I've toyed with the 2700x previously for a client build but I kind of want something even more than a 3700x. I figured since the 9900k costs as much as a 3900x it's a no brainer. That also leaves me room for next gen upgrade and possibly even the 16c (or maybe AMD goes nuts and ups the core count again for the last iteration of the AM4 socket. AMD is making history for sure here!
I haven’t totally decided. Either a 64 gb kit of trident z 3600 or my 32 gb kit of trident z royal. The case is one of my problems. Either the InWin 925 or the Enthoo Evolv X Thanks!
No finished build with Apex L. etc. gaming fps benchmark video of this? Why not? There are so few to zero benchmark videos of that nice board, just wondering why!
Did you buy yours online? if so when it arrived did the box arrive like that without tape sealing the edges? I remember my first Aorus motherboard came in the amazon box, but there was no wrapping or anything around it... curious how the new ones arrive... again if you purchased it online .. thanks! :)
@@falconovic688 oh.. i know. i am spoiled. it's awesome to have such a store here. my wife bought me a gift card for Christmas to there.. it's how i bought the board.. lol
They accomplished X570 passive by adding a simple passive cooler, which in actuality is enough for that chipset. Think about it. That cooler Gigabyte put on that is not only enough for the chipset itself, but also cooling two NVME 4.0 m.2 drives. And it has been proven before that this chipset doesn’t need an active cooler whatsoever. So what Gigabyte only gives for this hopelessly overpriced board, should be available universally. Oh well...
What we want are the Z490, X570 and the TRX40 fanless passively cooled AoRUS Xtreme boards, but with AMD's and these specs:
- 10Gb Lan,
- Wlan G6,
- Pcie-4.0, 5.0, 6.0,
- Usb-4.0,
- Displayport 2.0 (for 16k),
- Hdmi-2.2 / 3.0 (for 16k),
- 7nm Cpu (x2+) Zen3, 5nm Zen4,
- 7nm Gpu (x2+),
- Ddr5 Ram.
thx for that video. purchased an other nmve ssd and have forgotten how after two years howto open the slots to install it. You are saving me 🙂

@@KDSTech sorry your video showed up on my search I shouldn't have assumed. Appreciate it though I got it solved today! :)

@@PCTechHustle I LIKE YOUR THINKING!
What Memory modules are you sticking in this motherboard . And what computer case ? Also nice up close review of the board .

does Gigabyte AORUS NVMe Gen4 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive fit under the heatsinks or I have to use something like Sabrent Rocket 4.0
?
Nice video! :D How is it now? I am looking for this build now! Would it still be a super sweet high end build? Or wait for Razen 4000?
Hi
It promises to be a very interesting rig.
And how about the guide. In which will you show how to overclock RAM and how to overclock the CPU?
yes .. i will be doing so :)
@@KDSTech I am waiting 😉

I guess because that nice board supports red AMD.
And americans USA's blue Intel and blue Intel-fanboys are Nazis.
I got one coming! Can’t wait!
