Chris, I take my hat off to you mate, you've made a hell of a job on your Golf R. It looks absolutely magnificent. I cringed when I saw you taking out the dashboard and centre console. I think I would have shied away from that part, but you did it and I admire your tenacity. It is my favourite car in my favourite colour and to say I am impressed is an understatement. WELL DONE!!!

Cant beat an easy fix but yeah plugging in the connectors usually helps Chris 😂😂 them headlight repair kits r so good n considering the extortionate price of some headlights they shud be available for all cars

Great to see a car painted properly, I hate it when people mask around door handles and trims when it's not a whole heap of effort to remove them, you doing this makes the finished product so much better
4:44 "vehicle ready to drive" off down macca's then with a caved in front end lol. I find it weird that the gas strut isn't a standard on the MK 8 golf R, my MK 7.5 had one as standard but when I got my MK 8 I had to order a gas strut separately, I did get my MK 8 on launch day (uk) so that might of changed but i felt kind of ripped off spending that money on a MK8 R with no gas strut for the bonnet.

Vrs Northampton car breakers are good for all low mileage engine's and gearboxes and body panel's and second hand stuff for all vw and audi and skoda and all vag stuff euro car parts stuff doesn't fit vw and audi stuff part's always a couple off mm out

Please angle the pipe from the coolant tank downwards enough so that the gas strut doesn’t rub against it when the bonnet is down. I’ve seen a few MK8’s lose coolant because of this.

Why have you primed the front bumper in grey, but left bonnet& wings black, this will definitely throw your colour match out.. if original blue was paint on white or grey primer you should also to match or contrast will be out surely ?? Love the video's, just my 2 pennies worth as want it to look sweet 👍👍
We considered painting it black first too but it looks fine regardless 😊 it was something we thought about

Radar sensors are a pivotal component associated to ADAS. It shouldn’t be “repaired” it needs replacing, then calibration using compatible ADAS calibration equipment. To add to this before this is carried out upon replacing, the vehicle will require 4 wheel alignment

Just so you’re aware Chris, the radar may not work. All it needs is the slightest tap on it and it won’t work, may need to replace it.

The gas bullet, you have a whole in the bonnet for that. You don't need to remove any screw from the bonnet.
