    Just so we’re clear.
I was told that Steve didn’t have a young audience and certainly didn’t make content that appealed to them.
But it turns out he does.
The criticism is very simple here. Make adult oriented videos of you want, make child oriented videos if you want, but to mix the two is reckless.
I don’t agree with comments comparing Stevie T to Jimmy Savile.
Stevie T has not committed a crime.
but the fact remains that those comments are out there. And are being made in relation to the content he’s making.

I had wondered about that as well... I feel like even that people would for sure have an issue with as well... That's why I feel like ol' Stevie t trying to say it was innocent and he didn't mean to blur the lines like that is a pretty flimsy defense. Idk if there is enough flexibility for someone to be able to really juggle both... Those Disney kids have a whole transition process if they decide they want to leave Disney and do regular roles when they come of age... And it is as much for the public and audience as it is for the actor or actress. Whether that's necessarily fair is a whole other topic. But I do feel like even attempting to do both would be an extremely difficult balance to maintain. If the audience even gave you a chance.

This is the reason we stopped letting our kids have access to UA-cam. Like many other parents, we naively thought that kids videos would have only kid-appropriate stuff in them. Luckily, we found out before our kids did that there are many creators making videos with characters that kids want to watch, with those characters doing not at all kid-appropriate things.
Stevie T has always given me a weird vibe. Good to know my intuition is still working correctly.

It's like Nickelodeon it's made for kids ages 2 to 17, you wouldn't expect something like Nickelodeon to show your children content that would be harmful towards them would you.

I do agree that Stevie should made a separate channel for his kids videos, his children's content doesn't apply to me, it doesn't bother me that I see it in my feed from him occasionally since I do enjoy Stevie T, he was an early inspiration for me when I started learning guitar (this was back when he had like 400k or less subs) and I've watched him all throughout the years. I was proud of him for making his apology vid to Batio.
But there's undeniably a change that needs to be made here, for the sake of the younglings, cause if my kid was watching a blippi video (not that I'd be letting them) and then I randomly see an ad for an adult website/store, I'd be pissed, they wouldn't know what in the hell it was, but I wouldn't want my kid exposed to that until I thought they were ready, y'know. Somn needs to change.

Objectively excellent work here. Journalism in it's best form. The worst- and creepiest - part about it for me (and judging from the Reddit comments, others as well) is this; Stevie T is clearly an intelligent person. So it's very difficult to understand where the disconnect is for him in his thought process regarding all of this. Specifically the part about how easily, _naturally_ even, it is for his no comments videos to lead young viewers to his comments enabled videos. Many of which use characters, topics and themes from the no comments videos. Thus exposing them to potential contact from nefarious parties. As well as content that their parents would deem unsuitable for their viewing.
I don't think it's a stretch whatsoever to say it comes off like low key grooming.
To reiterate my point, many of us believe he _HAS_ to know that. It's almost unfathomable to imagine that's he's totally oblivious to _any_ of this. It's also why although no one is accusing him of _being_ a "Jimmy Saville," it's not unfair in my opinion to _agree_ that all this gives off some bad vibes.
As for his manager's previous defense of him, I sincerely hope he learns from it. There is a tide turning in civil discourse regarding these kinds of concerns in relation to children. He should have known that and handled it differently and I hope he does moving forward. Deferring to your client in _this_ particular scenario will *NOT* help you in the long run. He should have declined comment while advising Stevie T to separate into two channels and admit it was a mistake. If Stevie T declined - if it were me, I'd have quietly resigned.

I don't think toddlers would read a description before watching the video, if they read it at all. You could expect the parents to verify every video before their child gets to watch it but that doesn't seem realistic. I don't have children but I'm guessing a child is pretty fast at learning to navigate within software that isn't child-locked with passwords.
Even if obvious children's videos, coming from a channel that offers adult as well as children's content, is only shown to a child through a curated playlist that only offers verified child-proof content, the child still would have the ability to click on the channel-name and enter the mixed bag of content. There is only one problem- if you look at his content, most of it is intended to appeal to people of his own age group, not children. His “made for kids” videos are very few (and only made quite recently, actually) in comparison to the vast majority of content that is otherwise geared towards much older audiences. You cannot demand a UA-camr to upload only certain kinds of videos because you feel like they’re giving mixed signals or whatever- that’s just your opinion.
Besides, as you mentioned, Steve has very young nieces and a nephew, so being their uncle, he would want to make videos that would appeal to them, or since he is familiar with what they watch, he might have had ideas for videos featuring characters his nieces and nephew might be familiar with, as would their parents.
I don’t watch Blippi by myself, but I have a baby cousin who does, and sometimes I hang around and watch Blippi with him just to keep him company. So when Steve made that video of Blippi reacting to extreme metal music, I thought it was funny and enjoyed the video.
It seems like you are reading way too much into Steve’s behaviour here, and without giving any details about the “third party software” you used to examine what tags he uses under the videos, we could even say that you’re making this whole thing up just to start drama with Steve. The fact that he hasn’t responded to any of these claims you have made should say something with regards to the consistency of his character, specifically that of being someone who prefers to keep to himself and let his content speak for itself. He doesn’t market to kids, but kids will watch whatever the hell they want. I know, because I was a kid myself and I have seen a lot of things online which I wasn’t actually supposed to.
You cannot make demands for someone to change the content of their channel just because kids make up a significant amount of the audience. Kids will be kids. That’s not in the UA-camr’s hands necessarily. Parents are the ones who are responsible for monitoring what kids see online. Not the UA-camrs.
And here’s something else- the stupidest part of this video is the clip where Stevie says this: “so I did a couple of kids videos… I thought *for once* I would make some videos that would appeal to my younger audience…”.
Logically, this would imply that his previous videos, i.e. the ones that he made before making the recent kids videos, were *not* intended to appeal to kids. The opposite of a kid would be an adult. Therefore, his previous videos were intended for an older audience, not a younger audience. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

This is an old discussion, Kiss made comic books and dolls, a lot of young people started coming to their shows, were they supposed to stop playing Love Gun because of that, and disregard the 90% of the audience that are adults and paid to hear Love Gun?
People should watch out for the nonces in public and online, but I’ve seen zero evidence of Stevie T. being that.
It’s weird to me how some people can be so concerned about very innocuous things, but be completely fine with overtly bad things, especially towards children, like performing all age drag burlesque shows for kids, discussing and questioning adult themes with small children, etc.
People have lost the ability to make logical distinctions about where the line should be, they’re fine with people assaulting children as long as they respected their pronouns.
    It’s bonkers!

Creating a separate channel for kids would be an easy fix. Tons of UA-camrs have done that, and I really hope he considers it. I don't think many of his adult subscribers would be too thrilled about getting more children's videos on his channel.
Comparing Steve to Jimmy Saville is one helluva stretch, though. I know his sort of awkward, immature humor can make people uncomfortable, but I never got the impression that he was a nasty person. He's about as dangerous as a Family Guy episode.

Dude is annoying . It’s cringe and embarrassing to watch. I don’t get all the people fawning over him in the comment section. There is another creator who teaches guitar and all he does is act angry and yell in every yt short he does. shit is weird af. Of course he sells a course . So in 52 weeks I’ll have the ultimate toan and shredzz
Anyways this is my second video I’ve watched by you and I like your vibe. Subbed

Reading the comments make me want to pull my hair out.
-The blatant disregard of violating the COPPA.
-The disregard of the betterhelp 'non-advertisements'.
-The Richard Benson slander and bullying.
-The targeted harassment to amateur guitarists mentioned in KDH's earlier videos
-The non disclosed advertisements for guitar product endorsements, as well as the mobile game he kept shilling
-"I have depression/anxiety" excuse to deflect any criticism and invalidates any accusations of him having the ability to bully others for their mental illnesses
but no KDH is just "jealous" of Stevie. Christ.

To be fair, his first Blippi video isn't really for kids given his jokes in it. Hense why it has comments. However, nothing in his videos is really dangerous towards children. I mean sure he cusses, but those are just words. He could have done a lot worse.
Edit: Also, you underestimate the intelligence on some kids. Sure they're no geniuses, but they at least have a shred of common sense in their brain and know what NOT to replicate in what they're watching.
