I knew very little about nofx until a couple of years ago. I binged the "Backstage passport" and then I read their book "Hepatitis bathtub" - Love this band.
Back before Mike was on drugs. And Smelly was. Smelly has become more than AMAZING though... Mike still comes with lyrics and bass lines.... And Hefe and Melvin.... Man, NOFX is my favorite band EVER....... I could go on for days and days.
Mike didn't do drugs till 1995 and that was only medication drugs which isn't that bad. Fat mike didn't do hard drugs till 1998 that's pretty bad he seriously shouldn't have done them at all he is such a talented guy and cocaine totally fucked with his brain
0:50 Together on the Sand 2:05 Nowhere 4:06 Moron Brothers 7:14 Vanilla Sex 9:38 Green Corn 12:46 Day to Daze 14:31 El Lay 16:08 Straight Edge 18:38 You drink, you drive, you spill 22:23 Gonoherpasyphilaids 24:22 Napalm Death Cover
That energy and speed it always felt as they where years ahead of others bands in 92 Great stuff had a physical fight with mike in Zurich in 96 due language barrier lol thanks for uploading
I graduated from HS one month after this happened. I don't think I had heard of NOFX quite yet but soon after ...and I've been in love ever since. Awesome video. They actually play pretty damn tight for early live. I know now that they actually had been playing together something like 8 years up to this point in relative obscurity. This is not long after their album dropped (about a year? I could be a bit off). But you can completely see why they are not like other punk bands even way back then. They sound totally punk of course but have such unique elements of their music that makes them unlike any other band. Heffe fucking rocks. Melvin too. ...Smelly on the drums hammering.
Yeah now he is just gonna talk about being sober for a year...... Who gives a shit? As if all he wrote about was drugs? Bullshit. He writes about what is relevant. Look around. The world has some crazy drug issues. I appreciate him. N he's been singing about drugs way before he was an addict, maybe you just aren't familiar with all of their music or maybe you just weren't listening. Guess it doesn't matter. This doesn't matter at all. Nevermind. Move about your day.
It's a shame the Full gig wasn't recorded - the full set list is 1.Together on the sand 2.Nowhere 3.Moron Brothers 4.Vanila Sex 5.Green Corn 6.Day to Daze 7.El Lay 8.Straight Edge 9.You Drink, You Drive, You Spill 10.Gonoherpasyphlaids 11.The Death Of John Smth 12.Showerdays 13.The Malachi Crunch 14.Scream For Change 15.The Longest Line 16.Mean People Suck
