I dont know how he kept a straight face during that whole thing. I saw him smiling a few times but I would have been laughing like crazy once he said astral plane and do battle.
Man... this just made me click the Like button while he was speaking about this extra dimension where their battle with Steve happened. I love stuff like that! Awesome! I love EVERY THING about this. Facts. Sheer Facts. I've been in the software industry for 26 years, and this is exactly how it happens. I love the brutal honesty of this answer. It's metaphorical, but somehow closer to the truth than a literal telling would ever get.
"There's no way you're getting out of here alive" is really hilarious.
The thought of a supervisor saying that to someone made me crack tf up
Never get in between a senior dev and his shipment of caterpillars.
You can see the slight hesitation as he tries to think something up right there, then the power to hold back that smirk when he realizes what hes about to say
You make me like the internet again.
He actually used STAR to answer this question.. this is some deep comedy 😂
what's that?
@@axelperezmachado3500 The STAR method is a technique of answering behavioral interview questions in a structured manner by describing a specific situation, task, action, and result of the situation you are discussing.

I didn't know it was a method. Been using that to answer interviews, just thought it's a good illustration
Isn't that just the... like... normal pattern to answer questions???
@@Sakrosankt-Bierstube management 101... inventing names for the obvious
I like how he says “I had a huge part to play in windows ME” and then immediately follows it up with how terrible the consumers thought it was 😂
I just loved ME. Dunno why is there all that rage and hate around it - it basically had all the features of XP ahead of time.

i swear that in my next interview if this question comes up i will repeat this answer word for word
let us know how this goes. waiting for your update.
*waits for link to video...*
Waiting for the update too.
Stupid question gets stupid answer
no balls
The manner in which he delivers this great comedy material is great.
"Caught a glimpse of operating systems that had not been and would never be"
Got a new shipment of caterpillars comin' in. I gotta g get 'em.
He was about to burst while saying that lol
@@lollob But he didn't.
Such commitment!!
this man said: "our avatars left our bodies to do combat on the astral plane" 😂
Telling the truth
"And it's something I seen him do before:" dying haha
Software engineer here: I can confirm this is a typical way we deal with conflict resolution.
Its how we address issues on git at my job.
That and "accept all incoming".
yes i think weve all been there
i think everyone here is a software engineer
"...about 11/12 years ago now, um... I did have a conflict with a coworker" - That was a genius line. Had me laughing pretty hard haha.
How's this line funny?
@@dr.winner2516 because nobody in team jobs can go their entire career without a single conflict. His delivery was awesome too!
@@shadoninja Oh lol
How on earth did you remain straight-faced through that entire monologue dude??!!!!! 😂😂😂
The secret is 'multiple takes'.
Improve too!
@@neon_veins This was all one take blasphemer!
Probably thinking of actual dev problems kept him centered. Which is the line between tears and laughter.
Because it was 100% true.
"In that moment our avatars left our body" lol

Give off that 60's office interview vibe.
In my 25+ years of experience in this business I have never had a fight with Steve Ballmer. I envy this guy.
I found this channel yesterday and I love every single video so far :D
You're cometely unhinged for being able to deliver this story without cracking up, my hero
I think anyone from HR will confirm that these kind of answers are very common on job interviews for senior positions.
Hey guys, you are the best comedy on this subject I have ever seen
I love how it's just "Steve"
Please guys don't do this in here, go outside and take it to the astral plane
Now I understand why Steve Ballmer kept saying "Developers, Developers, Developers..." He had a fight in the astral plane.
This is just incredible.
I've literally watched everyone video on here, subscribed and shared with every person I know. It is a void.
Incredible improv. Your channel is criminally underrated!
Krazam's outtakes are better than most channel's production scripts
"There's no way you're getting out of here alive!" Steve said kindly, attempting to gently stomp on Kurt with his 400 feet long avatar.
i love this, timeless comedy. you could've made this 10 years ago and it'd be every bit as funny
We need more Senior engineer interviews
I dont know how he kept a straight face during that whole thing. I saw him smiling a few times but I would have been laughing like crazy once he said astral plane and do battle.

"A new shipment of caterpillars" That's when you know that shit is about to hit the whole fan
I'm not a senior but if there is a conflict. I usually do a "git status" and resolve any issues. I guess it's just lack of experience.
I just do a “git reset -hard HEAD”. Nuke the site from orbit, you know?
@@dave6012 ahh the classic, I see you are a man of culture!
You are working too hard. Simply run "git stash" and then immediately forget about your stashed changes for the rest of history.

Dunno how many times I've wached this already probably like 4 times, but every time it makes me laugh like a maniac🤣
This might be my favorite monologue of all time
I could not manage to avoid LOL with you telling this story man, even you can't I see
omg, it have been times since I laughed out loud like this from a video. Truly a masterpiece
Still here. Is the funniest part about this admitting you were a dev on Windows ME? Jesus this is a masterpiece
How many takes did y'all have to do. I would have started laughing every other word! Great vid!
Appreciated the heroes of might and magic sounds
This channel's content is so underrated, how is this not more popular!?
Lol that story, doctor strange, ant man, matrix references
The look down at moustache when he says "shipment of caterpillars" lmao

I'd love to watch the bloopers of that video.

Rewatching this for the 69th time 😂
this doesn't actually sound like a peacefully resolved conflict
"Shipment of caterpillars" sounds like some Longmont Potion Castle inspiration
Thank you.
Lol this channel needs more exposure this shit gooood
This is factually incorrect, he shattered into 1024x1024 pieces which is more than a million, marginally
Perfect answer to those stupid interview questions
i need more senior engineering
This is too funny! I thought it was an adult swim skit at first.
Bro THIS sent me to the astral plane
