My name is Liamcy, I am a clothing designer with a focus in women apparel and gowns. Today I will be showing how I made a mermaid style prom gown.

I love the way you created this dress it seems to be more simpler to do cutting it the way you have. I’ve seen other videos where it seems like it’s so complicated to cut The shape of the presence body that you want and the way you did to me this seems so much easier. And I also got an idea on how to do the back of my daughters prom dress from the way you did yours thanks a lot for the video

Open ur open your Shades so the lighting can come in and the dress can be seen your lightning be going out and then out and then just open the top part of your shade that way you get Lighting in sorry if you didn't like what I just said but I'm just giving you an idea but you're awesome God bless you.

Love this tutorial. I have a question tho. Now the back where you pinched in the fabric and reserged...would you do that for a dress size that’s bigger than the mannequin? Also is the person wearing this dress the same size as the mannequin?
A. Marie thank you!! And this dress is just for promo so it doesn’t belong to anyone. But I make all shapes and sizes. When the person is bigger than my mannequin I don’t use the mannequin I do fittings with the actual person. For this video I used the average size of my clientele.

Tatiana Harris yup that’s correct but where it matches with the front panels it has to be the same length so start there then gradually make it longer

It is beautiful but what about a lining? It looks very thin. It wouldn't be allowed at any school I know of around here unless it has a lining for modesty.
Of course it has lining! lol even though half the dresses worn to prom these days you'd be surprised what schools are allowing! but there's a nude slip that goes underneath.

Cha'Vis Berrien, I live in Missouri. There are laws against indecent exposure here. There are a lot of backwards thinkers here too. However, it's one state where you can live completely off grid without any harassment from the government. Plus, it's a constitutional carry state.
They won't even legalized marijuana here, medical or recreational.
Isabeau Chantal I'm pretty sure a dress that is kind of see through is not by law considered indecent exposure. Indecent exposure is more so along the lines of having your genitals exposed in public. Like a guy walking down the street with his penis out or a girl walking with no shirt on

There's a couple of stores here in NC called ABC Store fixtures. But any retail fixtures store, amazon, or ebay . I paid $100 in store though.

Bc every time I try to sew on the fabric that you have . It’s comes a loose
I use a 90/14 needle either stretch or universal but it’s probably your tension you need to adjust
